ElectraClamp

The ElectraStim ElectraClamp with the Storage Bag

Vendor: ElectraStim

Over four years ago I reviewed the original ElectraStim Bi-Polar Soft Genital Clamp. Back then it was the only (yes, I am ignoring just stingy and painful one E-Stim Systems used to make for a good reason) bi-polar clamp on the market. For liability and design reasons it was marketed as a “genital clamp”. The large opening and low spring power made it hard to attach to nipples. This in combination with the domed clamp tips made the grip on firm surfaces like a hard dick or glans was mediocre. But as stated, there were not bi-polar clamps so I gave them a pass. Until now!

Construction

As the name already implies, the ElectraClamp is a (nipple) clamp for e-stim play. It is made out of a black shiny polymer. The wings have a bit of an asymmetrical design with the oval grip side being large at 30x20mm. This side is textured with ridges for a secure grip even with sweaty and a bit lubey hands. At the back of these areas you can find sockets the 2mm pin leads.

Detail of the Textured Grip Area

The clamp’s two wings are connected by a polymer screw. This prevents unwanted connection of the two channels. It also enables the usage of a cloth pin metal spring which is both sturdy, durable and delivers a strong enough spring power.

The most important part of the clamp is of course the grip surface. On this one it is an oval 15x10mm piece of firm conductive silicone. For added grip it is textured with small grooves. Unlike other manufacturers who only use conductive silicone in sheet form, the contact area is 2mm thick so it has some mass.

The ElectraClamp comes in a small cloth bag for storage.

Playing with the ElectraClamp

The clamp opens 22mm wide, making it wide enough for nipples, the frenulum or the perineum skin (which is not like direct prostate stimulation!). On this model, the spring power in combination with the larger, flat and textured contact area make the grip secure enough even for small, sweaty male nipples. In the unlikely case that the nipple slips anyway, simply tug a bit more skin between the wings.

Detail of the Conductive Contact Area of the Clamp

Of course, for liability reasons ElectraStim has to say that this clamp is only for usage below the waist. If you use this clamp in a single channel e-stim power box, you can safely attach the clamp to a nipple because the currency only flows between the two conductive areas. If you use more than one clamp on a body or attach electrodes that use the second channel of a power box, make sure that:

  • Both channels of the power box are completely isolated! Otherwise currency can flow between the electrodes and if placed above the waist can lethally effect the organs!
  • Make sure that both poles of a channel go into the same electrode! Otherwise currency will flow between the electrodes.

Naturally, compared to other electrodes clamps have relatively small and low-mass poles. Despite this physical limitation the ElectraClamps manages to produce a relatively smooth and pleasurable stimulation, depending on the power box. Of course, they can also sting as hell if you crank up the box!

Detail of the Lead Socket

ElectraStim recommends putting conductive lube on the contact area. For this review I used conductive lube from ElectraStim, E-Stim Systems and MyStim as well as Swiss Navy water-based lube (my go-to lube for anal electrodes). All of my testees agreed that the conductivity only improved minimal at best. The skin especially in combination with sweat is conductive enough for a pleasurable stimulation.

Coming back to the beginning of this review: When ElectraStim introduced the ElectraClamp they phased out the Bi-Polar Genital Clamp. For good reason, because the ElectraClamp is clearly the superior clamp – if you don’t want to put it on a dick or the balls. But frankly, there are better electrodes for this use scenario.

Conclusion: Best e-stim clamp available today.

Viper

The ElectraStim Viper

Vendor: ElectraStim

Construction

The Viper is a bi-polar CBT e-stim toy. It is made out of ElectraStim’s velvety soft yet sturdy red silicone. The toy has a roughly triagonal shape, measuring 77mm at the widest and tallest point and is 12mm thick. The body is slightly convex so it hugs the groin for a snug and comfortable fit. On top there are 2mm sockets for the leads. The front features some light geometric texture and the ElectraStim logo for a little bit more interesting look.

Detail of the Small Conductive Areas

In the middle there is a 34x43mm oval hole. Three 6x8mm black conductive silicone bricks are on each side. At the bottom of the hole there is a 6mm wide gap between the tips of the “wings”. That is why I find ElectraStims’ designation as a “cockring” a bit unfortunate. I would rather call it a “cock clamp” because you can easily pull the wings apart and place it over the penis root. This does not only make the handling of the toy considerably easier than all the bi-polar cockrings in my collection, it also eliminates the sizing problem. Depending on the flaccid dick size, the Viper either targets more the penis root or also the scrotum on less well-endowed guys. The wings can be stretched up to 62mm which should cover most guys.

Detail of the Texture

Playing with the Viper

The conductive areas on the Viper have a small contact area and relatively little mass. So the sensation leans towards sting. But I was impressed by the conductivity. The toy’s design presses the poles onto the body so even without conductive gels there is a good transmission – if the bottom is shaved or at least well trimmed. Thick pubic hair can stop the transmission or make it very erratic, even with conductive gels. There are subs out there who enjoy random jolts depending on how the toy and the skin shift but for a controlled scene I would not recommend it!

For scenes in the playroom the Viper is a good CBT electrode. Easy to set-up and use, it offered little frills but good, reliable and intense sensations. The area it targets is an interesting one. It is the first electrode for years that is designed for the penis and scrotum root. While at a first glance this area does not sound so sensitive and nerve ending dense like the glans or the shaft, wait until you feel the first shock in your sensitive spermatic cord!

Detail of the Two 2mm Sockets

Where the Viper really starts to shine is when you leave the playroom and go out in the streets! Through the secure fit and socket placement, this toy can be securely and comfortably worn under clothes making it the perfect pairing for remote controlled e-stim units. Being so intense, even a little flick will be hard to go unnoticed by bystanders and stronger shocks can bring the sub easily to his knees.

Being made out of silicone, a small word on caring for the toy. Sadly, silicone by nature is an a bit sticky material thus there will always be dust on the toy, even if you clean it thoroughly. This is done easily with warm dish soap water and spray-on sanitizer after the drying. During play you have to be careful with silicone lube. The silicone oil inside it will attack the silicone, making it dull, stickier and disintegrates it. This can become a problem when you use the Viper for a carrot and stick play in combination with edging. A bit of silicone lube leaking down from the dick will not instantly destroy the toy but over time, it can become a problem. It is especially important to use a cleaning agent that will get the silicone oil off the toy. Or just use natural oils like olive oil for such scenes.

Sirius & Habanero Prostate Massager

The ElectraStim Sirius (left) and Habanero (right) laying on the Storage Bag

Vendor: ElectraStim

Last year ElectraStim introduced their new Fusion range of e-stim toys which stands out through a signature red & black color pattern. So for this year’s E-Stim Special I decided to compare how the new Fusion prostate massager compares to their “old” yet still in production Noir one.

Design

Both toys follow the same basic design: A bean shaped head sits on a small neck perpendicular to a roughly kidney shaped body. At the bottom of it, there is a hinge to adjust the angle between the body and the base. This is necessary because everyone’s anatomy is different so in order to target the prostate some adjustment is necessary.

The base is oval and again a bit bulky. Through the bulgy at the tip, it can be used to stimulate the prostate area on the perineum. Inside the lower half of the sides there are grooves for better grip when manually moving the toy to massage the prostate. At first glance, the base is the biggest difference between the two toys: At the Sirius it is completely smooth and has for 2mm pin jacks perpendicular to the bottom. The Habanero has four ridges on the top and at the bottom there is a big recess with two 2mm pin jacks parallel to the body and deep cable ducts to organize the lead.

Detail how both Toys can Bend to adjust to each Body

Other difference come up when you look at both toys more closely. While both have a max. insertable length of 115mm, the Habanero is bulkier in all dimensions: The head measures 29x43mm vs. 25x41mm; the body 34x44mm vs. 29x37mm. Also the cast seam running around both toys in the middle is almost not noticeable on the Habanero while you can see albeit not really feel it inside your anus on the Sirius.

As you can tell form the number of jacks, the Habanero is a bi-polar toy. The black conductive silicone patches are very prominent on the red silicone of the body. Both patches run on the sides from the head down to the neck above the base. The Sirius has four conductive patches: Two on top of the base and two running from the head till the middle of the body.

Both toys are made out of medical grade silicone. So they are a 100% body-safe – and a dust magnet. As you can see from the pics, despite washing them thoroughly before taking the pictures for this review, the time to dry was enough for them to get dusty again. Luckily they are easy to clean! Just wash them in hot dish-soap water, let them dry, spray sanitizer and then store them away. To protect them from other plasticizers of other toys in your toy box, they come with a nifty cloth storage bag.

Detail of the 2mm Pin Jacks of both Toys

Playing with the Sirius and Habanero

There are two aspects to look at when comparing the two toys: The mechanical and electronic stimulation. Mechanical stimulation means putting rubbing and pressing on the prostate both inside the rectum and on the perineum and enjoying the stretching sensation inside the anus when moving the toy in and out. In this category the Habanero is clearly ahead. Being bulkier, the stimulation on all three areas is stronger. A healthy prostate has about the size of a walnut. The slightly flatter and larger head of the Habanero is better to target it. There is a lower chance of slipping when applying pressure on it. When “tickling” it between the head’s bottom and the neck, the longer slope is beneficial. The same applies for the more voluminous body for stretching the anus. Because it is considerably longer than wide, twisting it inside the anus or during fucking, is an interesting experience. Over time, most testees developed a “routine” how to move the massager to synchronize maximum prostate and anus stimulation. This is important because piling up as much sensations as possible is necessary to ultimately achieve an anal or prostate orgasm. Though both take a lot of practice so don’t expect them out of the box (unless you are VERY talented). Finally, there is the perineum stimulation and to be honest, there is not that much difference. The ridges on the Habanero do not increase the stimulation significantly. If you are hair, it is actually quite the reverse. But again, the bulkier size helps with the applying pressure to the prostate and the larger base generally make the control of the manual stimulation easier.

I was lucky enough to have both plugs tested by (almost) anal virgins in order to determine if Sirius’ smaller size has an advantage there. It’s not that you accuse me of only testing the toys on fist sluts who know no size limitations. Yes, of course the Sirius is easier to take. But for both toys these two recommend some pre-stretching. The complex shape going wider and thinner several times is a bit of a challenge for an inexperienced anus. Once pre-stretched, the size difference is almost not there anymore.

Detail of the Sirius‘ Poles on the Body’s Side and Bottom’s Top

Naturally, both toys should be well-lubed before being used. ONLY use water-based lube on them. Silicone lube will disintegrate the toy, starting with making the surface sticky. Furthermore, silicone lube is an isolator while water-based lube conducts electricity which is essential for the electronic stimulation.

Before I dive into looking in the differences of the two toys, first a short general excurse on e-stim sensation: Independently from the selected program and power unit, it is determined by mass and surface area of the conductor. The smaller and lighter, the stingier it will be. Being made out of conductive silicone, the sensation of both toys is on the stingier side of the sensation spectrum. This is not necessarily as unpleasant as it sounds. In low intensity it can be an enticing tingling. But when turning it up, it can become excruciating more quickly than on metal plugs for example.

This being said, looking at the two toys, this time the Sirius won more favors in my testee panel. This is largely due to having four poles. A vertical pole split instead of a horizontal is unusual for an insertable electrode but a common on ElectraStim products. Through this layout the popular fucking sensation of the wave-like patterns is not popular. Instead it focuses the sensation right inside the sphincter which leads to an interesting phase of re-discovering your power box. When I played with both plugs, I started to like programs I never liked and hated some of my favorites. Since the Sirius does not only have poles on the sides but also on the top of the base, you can create a connection between those pole pairs. Then the currency somewhat flows through the prostate which I personally found a more enjoyable and more stimulation experience (the prostate rivals the anus with nerve ending density). However, since the leads stick out of the bottom of the Sirius instead of being lead out of the body like on the Habanero, using the Sirius is a bit complicated. You can basically only use it lying down, while you can sit on the Habanero, riding and grinding it for max. manual stimulation.

So, in the end, which one of the two is for you? It depends on what you are looking for. If your focus is on e-stim, get the Sirius. It is more flexible and the more elaborate e-stim toy. Also, if you are familiar with e-stim, you have probably found ways of dealing with suboptimal lead positions. If your primary focus is the manual stimulation you want to spice up with added e-stim fun, I would recommend the Habanero. All things considered, the prostate play savvy members of my testee panel managed to get prostate orgasms with both. So regardless which one of the two you choose, with enough training (and being chaste long and not too long enough I have been told…), you will learn how to climax with them.

Best for Self Play – E-Stim

The ElectraStin AXIS in the Original Case

Yesterday, I have given you a short tour through the reviews for your anal needs. Today, I am going to look at E-Stim, probably the second most popular toy category for self play.

Let’s start with the basics: For E-Stim play you need a power box which creates the electric waves and electrodes which deliver it to your body. You always need a pair of electrodes since the currency flows from one pole to another. If you want to dive deeper into the intricacies and safety guidelines of E-Stim, take a look at my E-Stim 101.

As most of you are asked to stay at home, some of you are starting to get adventurous and curious about E-Stim play. So one of the most often asked questions is “Which box to start out with?” I recommend the E-Stim Systems Pebble. With two channels, it is already equipped to stimulate two body regions or two partners at once, yet easy to use and has some fun programs build into it.

The E-Stim Systems 2b remotely controlled by a Tablet over the Internet

For more elaborate play, there are two options I would recommend: On the one hand there is E-Stim Systems’ 2b which is their top of the line. Besides many, easy to manipulate and this versatile programs, they offer an easy to use and reliable online „Connect“ control feature to remotely controlled cam sessions. If you do not have a cam or online master buddy, on the other hand, there is the ElectraStim AXIS. Their new flagship model offers a bunch of innovative sensors like a motion or an proximity sensor. With a little creativity, you can create enough entropy to get the feeling someone else is in control of the box.

The E-Stim System Black Collection Bi-Polar Butt Plugs

Once you have found your preferred box, you need some electrodes. If you want to stick something up your butt (or pussy) and amongst other sensation want to feel like you are getting fucked by the e-stim, you have to get one of the many different E-Stim System insertable electrodes. Made out of aircraft grade aluminum, they are virtually indestructible. I almost have a dozen of those and they are worth every cent! Another essential tool are cock loops, like the ElectraStim Prestige ElectraLoops. They are easy and effective and depending on their position on your junk create different sensations. Just play around with them! In order not to short-circuit your power box, make sure that two loops on the same channel do not touch. I usually use one of my many simple Oxballs cockrings (I just realize, I need to review some of the more basic ones I have in my collection) for that. Speaking of Oxballs, I achieved my first hands free e-stim orgasm by placing their Zap on my glans, one electrode at the frenulum, the other on the top of the head. I think only Ballistic Metal sells those anymore. But you can easily construct a similar toy with one of the simple Oxballs cockrings and two of their Volt electrodes.

The Oxballs Shockball

When you want to step beyond the pleasure aspect of e-stim and really enter the realm of pain, Oxballs offers an intense tool to crush and fry your balls with the Shockballs e-stim ballcrusher – also I think only available at Ballistic Metal, the manufacturer, anymore. If you capitalize the C in CBT, take a look at the E-Stim Systems Vyper (XL) to set the nerve endings along your dick’s shaft on fire! If all of those tools don’t make you scream, your last resort is the E-Stim Systems Duo Pinwheel. Especially when playing alone, I recommend only using the Duo version of their electrified pinwheels because they are safe to use and the tiny contact area and mass make them a devious toy to play with.

The next part of this little series will be about CBT, edging and milking toys.

ElectraStim AXIS Unboxing

While the snow is falling heavily outside the window, it is a good time to get ToyTorture.com out of its hibernation. I decided to start with an heavily requested piece: The unboxing of the ElectraStim’s new leading power box AXIS. If you are interested in how the box performs in play, read my impression of the beta test unit here. The guys from ElectraStim informed me that they are currently fine-tuning the first update which will incorporate some input I gave them over my time with the beta unite. Once it is released, I will write an update article how the box improved. But now, in medias res of the unboxing…What sets AXIS apart from all other power boxes is the exterior packing. While a sleeve around the carrying case has been the industry standard (except for the unmarked corrugated fiberboard boxes ErosTek ships their power boxes in…) for years, ElectraStim decided to go with a full cardboard box with a glossy full color print. Since the full potential of AXIS does not really jump out, having more space for texts and pictures is a good thing. Though as a marketing professional, I would have wished for two or three enticing pictures on the back instead of just a dry yet information dense text.Opening up the outer packaging reveals a nice surprise: Instead of going for the already mentioned “industry standard” hard plastic case they went for a soft shell nylon zipper case. I like this innovation because I can store a little bit “crushable” case better in my play luggage than stiff one. Also, it protects the unit inside better.Inside, the layout is very traditional: The bottom half is filled with foam which features a cut-out for the power box itself and a larger one for accessories and cables. Inside the lid is a zipper closed mesh pocket for smaller accessories. What is noticeable compared to other power boxes is the lack of a battery. This is because AXIS has a build-in one which can be charged using a standard micro-USB cable. Through this design decision, the power box itself measured only 112x70x23mm and weighs just 116g play-ready.How much punch is packed in a really small sizes becomes apparent when placing AXIS amongst its “relatives”: It is only slightly larger and heavier than the Flick Duo which also features a build-in battery and considerably smaller and handier than the equally powerful but less feature-heavy and 9V battery-powered SensaVox.AIXS comes with a nifty belt clips which is a nifty accessory when playing with the movement sensor or accelerometer.Since AXIS is a dual-channel power box, it comes with two 120cm long 2mm socket-to-2mm pin leads. When ElectraStim contacted me, asking me if I would be interested in beta-testing something new and exciting I got my hopes up that they would take the big leap and change their lead system to the “industry standard” 3.5mm jack-to-4mm banana plug but I guess once you design your entire electrode ecosystem around a standard you cannot change it anymore so I will continue to carry adapters around with me.Like almost every power box, you get a set of pad electrodes which is a nice to have for play right out of the box.Since AXIS has quite sophisticated audio processing, the unit comes with a 100cm high quality line-in-cable which features gold-plated 3.5mm jacks for perfect transmission.I have to be honest, I am a bit amused when I found a 55cm long micro USB cable inside the box. Yes, it is essential for charging the power box (But where is the USB charger?) and for updating it, but I can hardly imagine a household without a single micro-USB cable. Maybe a pure Apple fanboy household.Speaking of updates, the small metal pin is needed to press the hardware button to initiate the update process when AXIS is connected to the computer. And speaking of the computer: You need a computer to read the full manual. Inside the case is just a little quick-start guide in English, French, German, Dutch and Spanish and the little flyer about how to get the extended 3-year warranty.

AXIS

Vendor: ElectraStim

The ElectraStim AXIS

For over 5 years, I have been doing reviews of e-stim power boxes and electrodes on this website. Through the annual E-Stim Specials and e-stim being one of my favorite things as a bottom, I have earned a bit of a reputation of being an e-stim expert. So naturally I was thrilled when ElectraStim approached me in late 2018, asking me if I would be interested in beta-testing a top secret project: Their new state of the art power box AXIS. They sent me a beta version I have played around for a couple of weeks now.

My review sample being a beta version makes this review a bit special. Due to the NDA I signed, this review is purely based in my own experience. No testee panel members were involved. Also ElectraStim told me that the software was not 100% final so there might be minor changes or little glitches in the user interface for example. I did not encounter these glitches. However, I will update this review along the lines of the production unit’s “proper” testing. Finally, the packaging and what comes with the box was also not a 100% final. As soon as I receive the real deal, I will do an unboxing [Update Feb 3rd 2019: The unboxing of the production unit has been published].

With that in mind, let’s cut to the chase…

Construction & Operating AXIS

The design of the AXIS follows the one of the other ElectraStim power boxes: The case itself is a made out of a sturdy black polymer with a soft-touch surface. The control panel on the top is framed by a silver bezel while the panel itself has a silver-sparkling charcoal color. On top of the control panel there is a 35x20mm turquoise light LED matrix display. In the top left and top right corner a little number indicates the current power level of the left and right channel. Between them there is the current program set written and the battery level indicator. The lower 4/5th of the screen is divided by a dotter line which separates an area for each channel to visualize the stimulation and/ or output level of the currently selected program either through blinking or diameter-changing circles (wave and pulse set) or a bars (flick, tilt, proximity, microphone and line-in set). Below the display is the photocell which can detect proximity as well as movement direction up to 10cm distance.

The Control Panel of AXIS

The lower half of the panel is covered by the control buttons. On the left and on the right are the power up/ power down buttons for the two channels. When keeping the “Up” bottons pressed, there is a  1 1/2 second lag before the intensity goes up quickly which is a useful safety feature against operation errors. On the way down, the lag is considerably shorter with half a second. Though if something goes wrong, never turn the box down. Just pull the lead out of the socket. A weird quirk of AXIS is that the maximum intensity is set at level 50 instead of 99 or 100. This is not only counter-intuitive, but makes the communication when maxing the unit a bit awkward. “I took you all the way to 50.” does not really inspire. I already communicated this impression to ElectraStim and I hope they fix it in an update.

Detail of the 2mm Lead Sockets of AXIS

In the middle of the upper row is a button labeled “M” for going through the seven program sets (wave, pluse, flick, tilt, proximity, microphone and line-in) and finally the configuration menu. To choose a stimulation pattern inside a set, press the button with the two arrows forming a circle located just below the “M” button. In order to select it, leave the cursor on the setting for 3 seconds and it will be selected. When pressing the double arrow button while stimulation firing, it will take you to the selection menu of the current set. Every time a new stimulation pattern is selected, the output level is set to zero on both channels.  The lowest button is the power button which turns the unit on and off.

The rest of the box is fairly standard stuff: On top of the case there are two 2mm sockets for the leads, at the bottom there is a 3.5mm line-in, a micro-USB port for charging and the microphone.

Measuring just 112x70x23mm and weighing just 116g, the AXIS is the lightest and smallest of the high-end power boxes. This attribute is bought by the fact that instead of using 9V block batteries, the AXIS has built-in lithium-ion battery. Depending on the stimulation intensity, it will last for about 6 hours. However, if you run out of battery life mid scene, you are screwed. Not only do you have to have a power bank or a USB power supply and a micro-USB cable at hand but the unit can’t be used while charging! To get from zero to 80% takes about an hour, the last 20% will take an additional three.

Detail of the Photocell for the Proximity Programs

Playing with AXIS

Little preview: The AXIS is currently the most versatile power box on the market. But this comes with a price: The Arduino inside the box takes 11 seconds to boot. What is extra irritating are the first 3.5 seconds until the display is initiated. During this time I often wondered if the box actually started or not.

The sophisticated hardware allows for some nice features. In the settings menu, there is a “Run Time” info which tells you how often you have powered up AXIS, how long you have used it in total and how long is has been since the box has been powered up this time. Especially for extreme e-stim aficionados is the “Nerd Mode”. It turn additional information of the current running programs of Wave, Pulse and Tilt on, like the frequency at the bottom of the screen, below the program visualization. In all modes there is a little thick bar at the bottom of the separation line in the middle of the screen. The higher the bar, the more energy is consumed.

Detail of the Display Reading of a Pulse Program in Nerd Mode

Usually in this part of an e-stim power box review comes the description of the programs. But AXIS has a whopping 47 (!) build in. So for the sake of reading flow, I put the large table below my conclusion box at the end of the article. What I found a bit disappointing was the fact that I could not modify any of the programs. I received the AIXS beta pack without a manual, so I had to discover the box and features on my own. When I turned on Nerd Mode with the details of the program displayed on the screen, I intuitively expected to be able to modify them. But no key combo worked. So I got in touch with ElectraStim and they confirmed that indeed the programs cannot be altered – yet. It is the beauty of the Arduino inside that it is such a powerful SoC which leaves space for development. The company said that the master mind behind AXIS’ development will look into adding the manipulation feature to the programs if possible.

My Run Time Statistic at the End of my Testing Period with the Beta Unit

In other e-stim power box reviews I already talked about in length what evil things can be done using a microphone (for example a self-enforcing circle of pain once the sub starts screaming), the line-in (like using a synthesizer to “play” your own programs) or the movement sensor. The newest sensor is the proximity sensor which yields hours of devious fun. Just to give you some ideas: Hold it in front of a pendulum, use your sub as a screaming “light barrier” at a passage or let him participate on another sub getting spanked or fucked by a fuck machine. Placing the motion sensor is a bit tricky and takes some time to figure out, but once figured out, it is a devilish tool.

Just like its (grand)father the SensaVox, AXIS s a very powerful unit! Using the ElectraStim Prestige ElectraLoops with a wave program, I started to notice the sensation with AXIS at 10% of the maximum intensity, while I had to take the E-Stim Systems 2b and the ErosTek ET312b up to 18% of the maximum intensity.

Detail of AXIS Bottom’s Interfaces from Left to Right: 3.5mm Jack for Audio Line-In, MicroUSB Port for Charging, two Microphones

Speaking of comparing it to the main competitors: What I personally did not miss but probably many will, is a remote control feature. With E-Stim Systems’ Connect service for the 2b, they set the bar for easy to use and powerful remote e-stim scenes. Maybe it will be one of the features added later in an update but. But if you are looking for a box for web cam scenes, look elsewhere. If you are looking for the most versatile, scene layout creativity inspiring and deviant e-stim power box out there, get AXIS!

ElectraStim will be accepting pre-orders starting Jan 7th 2019 and according to my latest information, they will start shipping on Jan 15th 2019. Furthermore, I have not yet been told the price. As soon as I get new pieces of information, I will publish them here and on Twitter.

Conclusion: Powerful e-stim powerbox with many sensors for creative scenes.

ElectraStim Classic Plug

Vendor: ElectraStim

Construction

The Classic Plug is a bi-polar plug made by ElectraStim. It is cone-shaped and comes in three sizes.

Name Maximum Diameter Insertable Length
Beginner’s 30mm 56mm
Midi 40mm 70mm
Maxi 50mm 85mm

The ElectraStim Maxi Classic Plug

Unlike the bi-polar anal electrodes made by E-Stim Systems the two poles are split horizontally, with the ElectraStim Classic Plug they are split vertically. Two polished tapered aluminum halves are connected using acrylic which isolates the two poles. The junction is very well-made with almost no burr so unlike other, cheap electrodes which mimic this style there is not injury risk when inserting the electrode. Around the base two rubber bands are wrapped which provide good grip even with lubey fingers. Theoretically they provide some level of isolation when inserting the plug or taking it out even when currency is running through the plug. However, first I strongly advise against moving the plug while e-stim is one because the alteration of the contact surface can lead to nasty spikes in the felt stimulation. Also when you really grip the base, the fingers will make contact with the aluminum, making it likely currency will flow through your fingers. If you still want to pull or push the plug while it is energized, wear isolating gloves.

To connect the plug with your power box there is a socket for 2mm pin connectors at the bottom of each pole.

Detail of the Two 2mm Sockets

While I have gotten the Maxi to review, the construction and handling of the toy are the same for all three sizes. Due to the smaller amount of mass in the sensations when playing can feel a bit different.

Playing with the Classic Plug

The shape of the Classic Plug is the same like most traditional butt plugs which means it gradually opens up the sphincter which makes for easy insertion. To ensure good conductivity I recommend water-based lube. I personally prefer Swiss Navy which has good conductive properties.

Because the two poles are facing each other instead of being above each other Classic Plug offers unique sensations compared to my other bi-polar e-stim plugs. The bad news first: Naturally due to the poles’ position there is no fucking sensation possible. When I started reviewing the plug I went through all the programs on my wide selection of e-stim power boxes. Some of my favorite ones I did not like at all, others I never considered to be fun suddenly became interesting. So when you have gotten only E-Stim System Premium Anal Electrodes, take a look at this one for more varied play options.

Detail of the Isolation Rings Around the Base

Another good news is: All the sensation felt is just centered at the sphincter which leads to an intense stimulation. Even at low intensity settings, strong sensations can be felt. So this plug is good for nuanced play as well as for more tormenting scenes. An e-stim sadist friend of mine grew very fond of the small plug because it gave his sub who maxed all his power boxes a new challenge.

However, what spoils the plug a bit for me is the lack of 2mm pin low profile leads. I searched the internet and could not find any. So sitting on the plug is not possible, lying on it is a bit of a challenge, both will increase the likelihood of lead fracture which limits the bondage layouts I really want to incorporate this electrode in.

Conclusion: Easy to insert bi-polar anal electrode for focus sphincter stimulation

SensaVox

The ElectraStim SensaVox E-Stim Power Box

Vendor: ElectraStim

It is becoming a bit of a tradition that after each E-Stim Special I am getting inundated with questions about toys I have not reviewed yet. Despite having already reviewed half a dozen different power boxes there are still popular models out there which I have not covered. This review should answer a few of these questions.

Construction

Like most premium e-stim power boxes the SensaVox comes in a sturdy black carrying case. The inside is lined with foam which has cut outs for the power box, a (spare) battery, the audio adapter and space for cables and accessories. If use the SensaVox just with batteries when playing outside your playroom there is enough space for some pad electrodes, conductive loops, e-stim sounds and even a small bi-polar electrode. But when you open the case for the first time, it is packed with stuff: First there are the essential things like the actual power unit, two 2mm right-angle plug to 2mm pin leads, a 9V battery and an adaptable power supply for all four major socket systems (EU, UK, USA and Japan). The explore the audio features it comes with a line-in cable, a 3.5mm female-to-female adaptor for enhancing the line-in’s cable length, a microphone, a CD-ROM with audio files and manuals in multiple languages. Of cause there is printed a full colour manual in English. For a detailed overview of the box’s content read my unboxing.

The ElectraStim SensaVox with all the Standard Accessories

The SensaVox is one of the larger power boxes measuring 145x81x34mm and weighing 245g equipped with a battery and ready for play. The case is made out of a black polymer with now flex so it has a quality feel. The control panel is charcoal coloured with a bit silver dazzle.

In the top left corner there is the power button. In the left corner you find the Boost button which will increase the output power by 25% as long as it is pressed. Between the two buttons is the modify knob which modifies the selected programs. Below the two buttons at the top there is a red LED segment display and a knob below them on each side. They are to control and display the output level of the two channels. If the channel fires a red LED below the know flashes. Just below the middle of the front there are two arrow buttons flanking a blue LED segment display which are for selecting and indicating the program which the two channels will fire.

The SensaVox with all LED Indicators and Display Turned On

The socket for the power supply is located on the left side of the SenvaVox. On top are the 2mm sockets to plug in the leads for the two channels. On the right side are two 3.5mm sockets. The left one is for the line-in, the right one is the microphone input. The back side is covered with a sticker which not only labels the sockets on the side but also provides an overview which program corresponds with the program number. On the bottom of the back there is the battery compartment.

Playing with it

To get the box ready for action, press the power button, wait 2 seconds for the self-test to finish and then you are good to go. For safety reasons connect the leads first with the electrodes and then plug them into the box. The SensaVox will always boot to the first program. Also, regardless of the position of the knobs controlling the channels’ intensity or the modification they are always (re)set to zero when starting the box or changing the channel. When the channels’ intensity is zero, you can twist the knob counter clock-wise without changing the intensity. I would recommend always turning the know to the 6-o’clock position which with all my other power boxes is associated with the zero position. When starting from this position it takes four complete turns from 0 to the max level of 99. So when starting out at the zero position you have some rough idea in the intensity region you are by just feeling the indicator of the knob. When you turn the knob to quickly the box won’t recognize the input so pace yourself a bit. When you want to punish your sub quickly, press the boost button which will increase the output power on both channel by 25% as long as the button is pressed.

Program Number Program Name Sensation Modify Know Effect

Detail of the Sockets for the Two Channels with the Adaptor to use 3.5mm Leads plugged into Channel 2

The SensaVox is one of the more powerful power boxes out there. While using the same electrodes with other power boxes I have to set their intensity to between 30% and 40% of the max output before the stimulation becomes noticeable. With the SensaVox this was the case already at between 10% and 15%. I especially enjoyed playing mind games with the boost button. It is a great basis for barter games: Either press it as long as the sub agrees to something or leave him the choice of increasing the intensity or feeling the boost. The max output compares to most elaborate power boxes but the low threshold allows for a fine adjustment and varied play.

Detail of the Sticker with the Program Names

Having been on the market for almost 10 years the programs and modification possibilities are not as sophisticated as on a way larger and more expensive ET312b. It does also not feature fancy stereo audio processing or remote control over the internet as the E-Stim System 2b. Still I love the SensaVox very much. It has no full text display which requires pressing multiple buttons at the same time to induce different levels of modification. It is easy to use and thus easy to explain to new top. The programs are fun and cover all the desired sensations. Neither I nor my testee panel really felt it was missing a stimulation pattern.

One thing which puzzled all testee panel member and me were the different audio sockets for the microphone and the line-in. Cheekily we plugged the microphone into the line-in socket and vice versa – and didn’t recognize a difference. So if you ever spotted a difference between the two sockets, please send me an e-mail.

Conclusion: Powerful and easy to use power box with many way to modify the stimulation.

ElectraStim Bi-Polar Soft Genital Clamp

Vendor: ElectraStim

The ElectaStrim Bipolar Soft Grip Clamp

Every time when the E-Stim Special is on one of the most things I get asked about is e-stim on the nipple. But since almost all clamps offered are monopolar I strongly discouraged using them above the waist in order not to interfere with the heart. I got so annoyed with the lack of adequate bipolar clamps that I build some myself with copper electrodes which wasn’t ideal either. So I was very excited when I discovered this clamp by ElectraStim which they sent me to test thoroughly.

Construction

As the name of the toy suggests the general design follows the one of a rather large clamp with an overall length of 103mm.

Detail of the 2mm Socket

The bottom half of the clamp are two handles made out of a black polymer connected by a hinge. Below the hinge is the spring which pushes the tips together. The bottom of each handle is a large, slightly domed area for better grip at which bottom the socket for 2mm plugs is located. The top half is made out of flexible yet sturdy wire. The tips are round and slightly domed with a diameter of 12mm. With standard ElectraStim leads attached the maximum aperture of the clamp is 38mm.

Playing with the Bi-Polar Clamp

Despite the little amount of mass and the small contact area the clamps can produce a quite smooth sensation making it a suitable toy for beginners who are not into sharp and stingy pain.

Detail of the Electrode’s Contact Area

As written above this clamp is bipolar so the currency flows between the two tips of each half making it safe to use on the nipples. But through the wide aperture this clamp is quite versatile. Besides the obvious nipples I used the clamps to fry balls or place if in the glans with one electrode on the frenulum to milk and e-stim orgasm out of the subs. The most fun I had was attaching the clamp to body parts otherwise not exposed to e-stim because the sensation is most surprising to the sub. Tormenting the nasal septum with excruciating pain will bring most subs to their knees and ultimately to tears. On the other side of the sensation spectrum a light tingling program on the ear lobes is a great addition to elaborate sensation play.

Maximal Aperture of the Clamp

The stiffness of the spring is relatively low and the tip is smooth and round which makes this clamp comfortable to wear over long periods of time. The downside of this is that if you can to attach the clamp to small body parts like the male nipple, it will slip off very easily, especially when the sub moves around through the induced sensation. I got around this problem by attaching the clamps perpendicularly to the body and put a cloth pin on top of the ElectraStim clamp. It is important to use a cloth pin which is not made out of metal otherwise you will short circuit your power box!  Alternatively wrap an elastic band several times just below the tip of the clamp.

Two Options to Increase the Spring’s Stiffness

It is imperative that when you use a clamp on each nipple that the power box has two completely isolated channels and use one channel per clamp. Otherwise the might be interaction between the two clamps which can lead to currency flowing between the nipples which than ultimately can cause heart problems.

Conclusion: Versatile and safe to use e-stim clamp.
