KinkLab NeonWand Flex Capacitor

The KinkLab NeonWand Flex Capacitor

Vendor: Mister B

Construction

Like all violet wand attachments the rear end is made out of metal to connect the electrode with the want itself. Its round plug measures 23x11mm which is the standard for most modern violet wands. There are some out there which have a different socket size so if you don’t have the NeonWand from KinkLab (which I reviewed here), double check if it is the right size.

Unlike most other violet wand attachments, the conductive part is not made out of glass but conductive silicone. So it is flexible and does not break easily. Over the length of 55mm it tapers and arches a bit back before opening up to the 55mm long head. There the silicone is only 7mm thick so it is very flexible. The head is approx. 30° angular to the shaft which allows for precise targeting during play without the power unit getting into way. After 20mm the head splits into to 35mm long prongs which have slightly curved forward ends. The space between the prongs’ end is 7.5mm.

Detail of the Head with the Gap between the Prongs

Playing with the Flex Capacitor

Before I got the Flex Capacitor I had been playing with Violet Wands for almost half a decade but just with glass electrodes. Through the different material properties of silicone it greatly enriched my play. First, there is the possibility to press a large area of the electrode against the skin. While the small lightning between the electrode and the body has a pinching sensation, pressing the entire head against the skin creates a buzzing sensation – which depending on the power level can certainly be agonizing. Simply running the prong tips over the skin almost feels like a wartenberg wheel being used.

Of course when you lift the electrode off the skin, the lightning occurs again. Like all electricity, it takes the shortest way. When you bring both prongs parallel to the body, both ends emit a lightning. This can be incorporated into play when through slightly twisting the violet wand the lightning jumps from one end to the other. Sadly through the curved ends there is no way to bring the entire head completely parallel to the body to create a “lightning circle”. Yet the small tip size of the individual prongs makes them great for precise targeting.

Detail of the Lightning emited from the Electrode

The gap between the prongs opens up a world of new play possibilities: “Grabbing” body parts with lightning. My testees most often circled around nipples, teased foreskin when still covering the glans or the frenulum when after exposing the glans. While this is good fun the gap could be considerably larger for example to fit an entire dick or just the glans between the prongs. Moving up and down the shaft would probably make for an interesting experience!

Last but not least, there is a practical aspect: Most modern violet wands do not have moving parts anymore which makes them usable for travel. But with the electrodes being made out of glass, even in well-padded cases I was always afraid to take mine on the road. But since silicone does not have this issue, I actually have been taking mine to scenes and play parties quite often since I have gotten the Flex Capacitor.

Conclusion: Innovative violet wand electrode for a new, unique sensation.

Shock Collars 101

Tl;dr

Shock collars are extremely dangerous, are in many countries forbidden to be used on animals and should not be used on humans! Use a remote controlled E-Stim box connected to the balls instead!

Yesterday someone on Twitter asked for opinions/ advice on shock collars and I was glad to answer his questions. Since there are not many resources on shock collars out there, I decided to condense what I wrote on Twitter into this little piece.

The main element of a shock collar is small box which houses a power generator and two stud-like electrodes. The “professional” models designed for dogs are attached to the body using a nylon strap. There are also fetish models out there which feature a rubber or leather collar or are integrated into a metal collar. The shocks are controlled by a wireless transmitter. Depending on the model it can have a range of up to kilometer in an open area. Others are compatible with beacons which trigger the shocks once a line is crossed like an invisible fence.

Once the trigger is pressed, it works like an e-stim power box with build-in electrodes. However, unlike erotic e-stim devices, the shock is not pulsed but continuous and no program is modulated onto pulse. Since all professional models are designed to penetrate a dog’s thick fur and skin, they must not be used on humans! The necessary high intensity applied on bare skin can lead to burns, spasms and especially on the neck permanent nerve damage. If the electrodes face the bottom of the balls, they can even cause permanent infertility.

I am aware that a lot of people will now say that they have been using shock collars for years without any problems. A common argument in the discussion is that you can use low levels which are not dangerous. In my book, shock collars are like solo breath play: It can go well a thousand times, until this one, fatal time. Furthermore, most of the time nerve damage does not occur instantaneous but develops over time. While lower levels are less dangerous, I do not think they are a valid argument. As usage of the shock collar progresses, the sub will get desensitized and used to the intensity, leading to an escalation. This can be facilitated by endorphins (on both sides when the top is getting greedy) during play and the power dynamic between the play partners leading to pushing each others’ limits. And this does not take into consideration that some boxes don’t offer different channels for the trigger so strangers can (un)intentionally shock the sub without the top’s control. Another grave danger is the fact that there are a shockingly large number of shock collars available which put out DC, especially from Asian manufacturers (If you don’t know why DC is potentially lethal, read my E-Stim 101)!

If you still want to use a shock collar, you should also consider the legal implications. In some countries, shock collars are more or less illegal. In Germany they are considered a weapon. Owing them requires a license and they must be transported in a specific manner. In Austria selling, buying, owning and using them is illegal. Since shock collars are explicitly not made for humans, (permanent) injuries cause by them are most likely not covered by liability insurance. Furthermore these injuries might be considered a form of battery the sub is not able to consent to which can be a basis for criminal charges.

Finally, if you still want to use a shock collar, here are the pieces of advice I promised:

  1. Buy a model for erotic use: There are models out there designed to be used on humans which are somewhat safe (the neck is still not the best play to apply e-stim). However, their intensity is so low that it will not impress most real pain pigs or subs who need real punishment to comply. Furthermore, most of the models are made in Asia so be extra-careful if they put out AC.
  2. If you like the look of a real shock collar, only put it on a sub without batteries.
  3. If you feel that only a shock collar can make your sub comply, tie it around his thighs. It is saver than the neck and the pain and fear of collapsing should make him comply.

ElectraStim Classic Plug

Vendor: ElectraStim

Construction

The Classic Plug is a bi-polar plug made by ElectraStim. It is cone-shaped and comes in three sizes.

Name Maximum Diameter Insertable Length
Beginner’s 30mm 56mm
Midi 40mm 70mm
Maxi 50mm 85mm

The ElectraStim Maxi Classic Plug

Unlike the bi-polar anal electrodes made by E-Stim Systems the two poles are split horizontally, with the ElectraStim Classic Plug they are split vertically. Two polished tapered aluminum halves are connected using acrylic which isolates the two poles. The junction is very well-made with almost no burr so unlike other, cheap electrodes which mimic this style there is not injury risk when inserting the electrode. Around the base two rubber bands are wrapped which provide good grip even with lubey fingers. Theoretically they provide some level of isolation when inserting the plug or taking it out even when currency is running through the plug. However, first I strongly advise against moving the plug while e-stim is one because the alteration of the contact surface can lead to nasty spikes in the felt stimulation. Also when you really grip the base, the fingers will make contact with the aluminum, making it likely currency will flow through your fingers. If you still want to pull or push the plug while it is energized, wear isolating gloves.

To connect the plug with your power box there is a socket for 2mm pin connectors at the bottom of each pole.

Detail of the Two 2mm Sockets

While I have gotten the Maxi to review, the construction and handling of the toy are the same for all three sizes. Due to the smaller amount of mass in the sensations when playing can feel a bit different.

Playing with the Classic Plug

The shape of the Classic Plug is the same like most traditional butt plugs which means it gradually opens up the sphincter which makes for easy insertion. To ensure good conductivity I recommend water-based lube. I personally prefer Swiss Navy which has good conductive properties.

Because the two poles are facing each other instead of being above each other Classic Plug offers unique sensations compared to my other bi-polar e-stim plugs. The bad news first: Naturally due to the poles’ position there is no fucking sensation possible. When I started reviewing the plug I went through all the programs on my wide selection of e-stim power boxes. Some of my favorite ones I did not like at all, others I never considered to be fun suddenly became interesting. So when you have gotten only E-Stim System Premium Anal Electrodes, take a look at this one for more varied play options.

Detail of the Isolation Rings Around the Base

Another good news is: All the sensation felt is just centered at the sphincter which leads to an intense stimulation. Even at low intensity settings, strong sensations can be felt. So this plug is good for nuanced play as well as for more tormenting scenes. An e-stim sadist friend of mine grew very fond of the small plug because it gave his sub who maxed all his power boxes a new challenge.

However, what spoils the plug a bit for me is the lack of 2mm pin low profile leads. I searched the internet and could not find any. So sitting on the plug is not possible, lying on it is a bit of a challenge, both will increase the likelihood of lead fracture which limits the bondage layouts I really want to incorporate this electrode in.

Conclusion: Easy to insert bi-polar anal electrode for focus sphincter stimulation

E-Stim Systems Pebble

The E-Stim Systems Pebble Power Box

Vendor: E-Stim Systems

After I reviewed the E-Stim Systems Helix in this year’s E-Stim Special in the spring, I literally got inundated with questions regarding the Pebble. The folks at E-Stim Systems were kind enough to provide me with a review sample so here are my testee panel’s condensed thoughts and experiences with the Pebble.

Construction

The Pebbles design is quite distinct for an e-stim power box: With its convex sides it has an almost hand axe like shape which rests really well in the top’s hand. The back, the top and the bottom are made out of the same high quality, sturdy black polymer all E-Stim Systems’ power boxes are made out of. The convex sides are covered in a rubberized soft-touch material for even better grip. The box is 117mm long, 24mm high and measures 78mm at the widest point. The panel at the front side features two 3.5mm sockets and the power switch in the middle. Behind the power switch the microphone is located.

The upper part of the control panel on top of the box is also symmetrically laid out. On the left and on the right are the rotary controls for controlling the intensity of the two channels. Above them is a blue LED which is on when the channel fires. Between the two intensity controls is the “Adjust” rotary control for manipulating the program’s sensation. Below these controls on the left side are two soft-touch buttons labeled with arrows up and down. They are for the program selection. On the right side next to the buttons are the 9 programs names with a blue LED next to them which flashes in a unique pattern for each program (see below).

The E-Stim Systems Pebble with the Entire Box Content

The box is powered by a standard 9V block battery which’s compartment is on the bottom. So if the battery runs out of power you can replace it easily and quickly during the scene.

Like all E-Stim Systems Premium Products the Pebbles has a lifetime warranty. It comes like all power boxes in a black carrying case lined with foam. If you cut the foam a bit on your own, there is plenty of space for some basic electrodes. Out of the box the Pebble comes with a detailed manual, a battery, 4 pad electrodes and two 3.5mm jack to 2mm pin plug leads. While I can understand the choice so you can out of the box connect the box to the pad electrode it is still a bit annoying because most E-Stim Systems electrodes are laid out for 4mm banana plugs (for more detailed information of the carrying case’s content, read my unboxing).

Playing with the Pebble Power Box

After turning the box on there is a 4se self-test during which the program LEDs flash after each other from the bottom to the top. Then the LEDs go on according the current battery status. If only half the LEDs are on, you should consider replacing the battery. The Pebble will only start firing a channel when a program is selected by pressing the arrow buttons. After the selection it takes between 2 and 4 seconds until the program is activated. Once the program is activated the 9 LEDs flash in a unique pattern. This is a bit annoying because you have to memorize which pattern is associated with which program in order to figure out which is currently active.

Program Name Sensation Adjust Effect Flashing Pattern
Pulse Single pulses simultaneously on both channels Speed of pulses Single LED, moving upwards in the speed of the pulses
Flo Wave-Form Making the wave’s sensation stingier Single LED moving up and down
Split Wave-form on left channel, pulse on right channel Speed of pulses on right channel Two LEDs converging towards the middle, a step after the bottom one blinked
Bounce A pulse alternating between left and right channel Alternation speed One LED converging alternating towards the middle and back
Audio Channels fire corresponding to audio input Microphone sensitivity Outgoing from the middle LED the LEDs light up corresponding to the sound’s intensity like an equalizer display
Milk Pulses which frequency first increases and then decreases again Cycle length Two LEDs converging towards the middle and going back corresponding to the pulses’ speed
Squeeze Pulses which increase in speed until max and start again Cycle length Two LEDs converging towards the middle corresponding to the pulses’ speed
Tease Continuous output which changes from soft to stingy and back Cycle length Two LEDs moving from the middle to both ends and start over
Torment Continuous output which changes from soft to stingy and starts again Cycle length Two LEDs converge towards the middle, pause the and move outward again

Detail of the Front Side Panel and the Soft-Touch Grip sections on the Side

Like the Helix the Pebble is an analogue box so the basic feel is very smooth but depending on the program can become quite stingy. Especially for beginners I recommend staying at the smoother side of the possible sensations because the sting of cheap e-stim units drives most rookies away. Still the Pebble packs enough punch for experienced players. The programs range from the basic (Flo and Pulse) to elaborate ones (Tease & Torment) which leave enough room to explore different play scenarios even for more experienced e-stim doms.

Like almost all build-in microphones of e-stim units it is not that great and sensitive. But the Pebble – unlike its big brother – doesn’t have a microphone line-in. So if you want to use the audio feature, place the power switch directly in front of the audio source for a good and detailed input.

Example of the Flashing Patterns indicating the Selected Program

So, compared to the Helix, where does the Pebble stand? My honest opinion is, there actually is no real reason to buy the Helix when the Pebble is available. With 5 more programs and dual output for just £40 more, the Pebble offers a better value for the money in my opinion. However, if you know that you only like stimulation in one place, like to threat your sub with the “Fire” button usage or are looking for more control over the program the Helix is the box for you. But from my experience, having talked with dozens of people venturing into e-stim, most people enjoy the possibilities of dual channel stimulation. So even if you are starting out in e-stim, I would recommend the Pebble and if you want to dive even deeper into this form of play and want the features described above, buy the Helix as your second box.

Conclusion: Basic yet versatile beginner’s power box with good value for money.

SensaVox

The ElectraStim SensaVox E-Stim Power Box

Vendor: ElectraStim

It is becoming a bit of a tradition that after each E-Stim Special I am getting inundated with questions about toys I have not reviewed yet. Despite having already reviewed half a dozen different power boxes there are still popular models out there which I have not covered. This review should answer a few of these questions.

Construction

Like most premium e-stim power boxes the SensaVox comes in a sturdy black carrying case. The inside is lined with foam which has cut outs for the power box, a (spare) battery, the audio adapter and space for cables and accessories. If use the SensaVox just with batteries when playing outside your playroom there is enough space for some pad electrodes, conductive loops, e-stim sounds and even a small bi-polar electrode. But when you open the case for the first time, it is packed with stuff: First there are the essential things like the actual power unit, two 2mm right-angle plug to 2mm pin leads, a 9V battery and an adaptable power supply for all four major socket systems (EU, UK, USA and Japan). The explore the audio features it comes with a line-in cable, a 3.5mm female-to-female adaptor for enhancing the line-in’s cable length, a microphone, a CD-ROM with audio files and manuals in multiple languages. Of cause there is printed a full colour manual in English. For a detailed overview of the box’s content read my unboxing.

The ElectraStim SensaVox with all the Standard Accessories

The SensaVox is one of the larger power boxes measuring 145x81x34mm and weighing 245g equipped with a battery and ready for play. The case is made out of a black polymer with now flex so it has a quality feel. The control panel is charcoal coloured with a bit silver dazzle.

In the top left corner there is the power button. In the left corner you find the Boost button which will increase the output power by 25% as long as it is pressed. Between the two buttons is the modify knob which modifies the selected programs. Below the two buttons at the top there is a red LED segment display and a knob below them on each side. They are to control and display the output level of the two channels. If the channel fires a red LED below the know flashes. Just below the middle of the front there are two arrow buttons flanking a blue LED segment display which are for selecting and indicating the program which the two channels will fire.

The SensaVox with all LED Indicators and Display Turned On

The socket for the power supply is located on the left side of the SenvaVox. On top are the 2mm sockets to plug in the leads for the two channels. On the right side are two 3.5mm sockets. The left one is for the line-in, the right one is the microphone input. The back side is covered with a sticker which not only labels the sockets on the side but also provides an overview which program corresponds with the program number. On the bottom of the back there is the battery compartment.

Playing with it

To get the box ready for action, press the power button, wait 2 seconds for the self-test to finish and then you are good to go. For safety reasons connect the leads first with the electrodes and then plug them into the box. The SensaVox will always boot to the first program. Also, regardless of the position of the knobs controlling the channels’ intensity or the modification they are always (re)set to zero when starting the box or changing the channel. When the channels’ intensity is zero, you can twist the knob counter clock-wise without changing the intensity. I would recommend always turning the know to the 6-o’clock position which with all my other power boxes is associated with the zero position. When starting from this position it takes four complete turns from 0 to the max level of 99. So when starting out at the zero position you have some rough idea in the intensity region you are by just feeling the indicator of the knob. When you turn the knob to quickly the box won’t recognize the input so pace yourself a bit. When you want to punish your sub quickly, press the boost button which will increase the output power on both channel by 25% as long as the button is pressed.

Program Number Program Name Sensation Modify Know Effect
P1 Smooth Continuous output with a prickling sensation Changing of the frequency
P2 Caress A synchronous pulse on both channels which sweeps up and down Adjusting the sweep rate cycle between 0.25 and 20 sec
P3 Swinger An asynchronous pulse on both channels which sweeps up and down Adjusting the sweep rate cycle between 0.25 and 20 sec
P4 Burst Burst of selected intensity and then dropping to zero again. The intensity can only be adjusted during the burst Adjusting the burst rate cycle between 0.25 and 10 sec
P5 Alternate Alternating firing of the channels. The intensity can only be adjusted when the channel is active Adjusting of the alteration rate cycle between 0.25 and 10 sec
P6 Stepper A pulse increasing/ decreasing in three steps. While one channel increases the other decreases. Variation of the pulse frequency
P7 Shooter Channels are shooting alternating pulses Number of pulses per burst can be selected between 1 and 72.
P8 Auto Climb Channel 1: Once intensity is selected, the output drops to zero and starts climbing to the selected level, keeps it for 2 sec, drops to zero and start over.

Channel 2: Continuous output.

Climbing rate per intensity level can be adjusted between 0.05 and 5 sec
P9 Climax The pulse during starts out with a high frequency and low intensity and slows down with higher intensity at the end of the cycle. Cycle rate can be adjusted between 5 sec and 6 ½ min

L3 Both Channels Modulte Both Channels fire according to the line-in input Increases sensitivity

Detail of the Sockets for the Two Channels with the Adaptor to use 3.5mm Leads plugged into Channel 2

The SensaVox is one of the more powerful power boxes out there. While using the same electrodes with other power boxes I have to set their intensity to between 30% and 40% of the max output before the stimulation becomes noticeable. With the SensaVox this was the case already at between 10% and 15%. I especially enjoyed playing mind games with the boost button. It is a great basis for barter games: Either press it as long as the sub agrees to something or leave him the choice of increasing the intensity or feeling the boost. The max output compares to most elaborate power boxes but the low threshold allows for a fine adjustment and varied play.

Detail of the Sticker with the Program Names

Having been on the market for almost 10 years the programs and modification possibilities are not as sophisticated as on a way larger and more expensive ET312b. It does also not feature fancy stereo audio processing or remote control over the internet as the E-Stim System 2b. Still I love the SensaVox very much. It has no full text display which requires pressing multiple buttons at the same time to induce different levels of modification. It is easy to use and thus easy to explain to new top. The programs are fun and cover all the desired sensations. Neither I nor my testee panel really felt it was missing a stimulation pattern.

One thing which puzzled all testee panel member and me were the different audio sockets for the microphone and the line-in. Cheekily we plugged the microphone into the line-in socket and vice versa – and didn’t recognize a difference. So if you ever spotted a difference between the two sockets, please send me an e-mail.

Conclusion: Powerful and easy to use power box with many way to modify the stimulation.

Unboxing the E-Stim Systems Pebble

When it comes to e-stim the most reader questions are actually about power boxes. There are so many different ones out there it is hard to figure out which it the right one for you. So ever since E-Stim Systems launched their new mid-range Pebble a stream of questions about it kept coming in. E-Stim Systems was kind enough to send me one of their new power boxes and I will review it later this year.

The Carrying Case of the E-Stim Systems Pebble

First let me show you what is stored inside the nifty black carrying case it comes in.

The E-Stim Systems Pebble

The most important part is the power box itself. It measures roughly 116x77x38mm and has convex sides so it fits and rests well inside a hand. The controls are symmetrically laid out: On top there are three rotary controls. The left and right for intensity of the corresponding channel and the one in the middle to modify the sensation of the selected program. Below them are two soft touch buttons to shift through the 9 programs. Next to them on the right is a list of the 9 possible channels with a blue LED next to it which is on when the channel is selected.

The Battery every Pebble comes with

The Pebble can only be powered by battery and is comes with a Duracel Industrial 9V battery which is actually my choice of batteries to power my e-stim boxes.

Two 3.5mm Jack to 2mm Pin Plug Leads

Since the Pebble is a dual channel box it comes with two 150cm long 3.5mm jack to 2mm pin plug leads. Two 2mm pin plug leads make sense because the Pebble comes with…

With the 4 Pad Electrodes you can have Fun right out of the Box

… 4 pad electrodes to have fun right out of the box. However since most of E-Stim Systems accessories’ sockets are for 4mm banana plugs I would have wished for at least one of those leads.

The Pebble Comes with a Nifty Quick Start Guide and Information on the Lifetime Guarentee

To get you started right out of the box, the Pebble comes with a handy Quick Guide. It is also useful when you hand the box to a top who doesn’t know the box yet. Though he then has to try the different programs through trial and error…
There is also a post card informing you about the life time guarantee which E-Stim Systems provides all his power boxes with.

The Pebble’s Manual

Last but not least there is the informative manual.

The E-Stim Systems Pebble with the Entire Box Content

The Pebble has been sparked so much interest I was barely able to give it a short test run on myself until one member of my testee panel “demanded” it for a thorough test drive. He is in the market for a power box and wants to get an educated opinion.

ElectraStim SensaVox Unboxing

The carrying case in which the ElectaStim SensaVox comes.

After three E-Stim Specials there stream of questions which box is good doesn’t stop. So one box after another I am trying to still your thirst of opinion on the basis of every good e-stim scene. As a nice surprise after a very stressful week at work I got the ElectraStim SensaVox in the mail yesterday.

The interior of the ElectraStim SensaVox carrying case.

It is their top of the line power box. So let’s see what can be found in the black, foam padded plastic case which has a little storage compartment for leads and toys, a battery and the jacket-adapter.

The SensaVox itself measures 143x78x33mm and weights 200g without a battery. On the top left there is the power soft-touch button, in the middle the rotary control to modify the programs and on the top right the boost button. Below them symmetrically laid out are the rotary controls for the two channels and the display for the intensity setting. Right in the middle of the box the are the two soft-touch buttons for the program selection and the display for the current program is between them.

The ElectraStim SensaVox’s Power Supply with the Adapters for different Socket Systems

The box can either be plugged into the socket. It comes with a power unit with adapters for the four major socket layouts.

The Battery which comes with the ElectraStim SensaVox

If you want to be mobile like on parties, it can also run on battery. So when buy on the run to a play party you can have fun out of the box.

Two 2mm jack to 2mm pin leads

Since it is a dual channel box it comes with two 120cm long 2mm plug to 2mm pin leads.

The Line-In Cable

To fully take advantage of the audio features of the SensaVox it comes with 205cm long 3.5mm jack line-in audio cable with gold plated jacks to connect your MP3 player with the box…

The 3.5mm Female-To-Female Adapter for Enhancing the Line-In Cable’s Length

a 3.5mm female to female adapter if you have you want to use the output of your stereo system and need to enhance the line-in cable length…

The Microphone which can be plugged into the 3.5mm Audio Socket

and finally a microphone to catch the sub’s or surrounding’s noises.

The CD-ROM with E-Stim Audio Tracks and Manuals in multiple Languages

For a first glimpse into the potential of box’s audio features there is a CD-ROM with a few audio tracks to be input into the box. It also contains the manual in French, German, Dutch, Spanish and Italian.

The SensaVox’s Printed Manual

The printed manual only comes in English and is full color. After a short into of how the box works, there are in-depth descriptions of every program and the way they can be modified. If you don’t have the manual with you and are in doubt there is a stick on the back of the box with a program list and a guide for which cable the different sockets around the box are.

The ElectraStim SensaVox with all the Standard Accessories

I can’t wait to spend some quality time with the SensaVox. With extensive audio features and 9 programs it promises to be great fun.

ToyTortures Top 10 Toys: E-Stim System Electrodes

The Electrode Disassambled into its Five Parts

It’s only the third episode of this miniseries and I am already breaking its rules: Today I am not going to talk about one but two toys: The E-Stim System Medium Classic bipolar insertable electrode and their conductive rubber loops.

As its name already tells this bipolar anal (or for the few female readers vaginal) electrode is the most classic of E-Stim System’s premium insertable range. All electrodes from this collection share the same great qualities: They are well built out of premium materials, easy to clean, come with a lifetime warranty and through their layout can create the sensation of getting fucked with a wave-shape program. I like these electrodes so much that I actually own five of them but I like the Classic best. With its domed head and diameter of only 25mm inserting it is easy. The Medium has the perfect length for me and actually most of my friends so when sitting down on it the electrode presses against the prostate. So in addition to the e-stim stimulation there is the physical stimulation. The e-stim sensation can even be enhanced when using the Classic’s head as a monopole and a pad electrode on the taint as the counter pole so the currency zapps right through the prostate.

A Pair of E-Stim System Cock Loops

On several occasions I called conductive rubber loops THE e-stim electrode. Small, easy to use and to clean it is a good example how a simple toy can be one of the best. Put one loop around the base of the dick, the other around the balls and later the currency will squeeze the cum out of the ball when jerking off. Put one of them below the glans and with some training and the right program you can learn to cum hands free. For a real anal novice one can work as an anal monopole, the loops can be used for sensation play. Once used these loops stimulate creativity and the play instinct and that is what a good toy should do.

The E-Stim System Medium Classic cost £47. I reviewed the premium insertable several times so if you want to learn more about them here are the reviews of the Classic, Micro and Magnum, the Torpedo’s review and in the latest I talked about their new satin surface finish on the Stuffer. The conductive rubber loops cost £29 per pair and you can learn all about them in my in-depth review. Interested in e-stim play in general? Read my E-Stim 101!

I own e-stim power boxes which are more powerful and sophisticated like the E-Stim System 2b. But the ErosTek ET232 is still my favorite. It was the first power box I bought after getting hooked on e-stim after a weekend with YngMstrDetriot.

Despite smaller power boxes being available the ET232 is still compact enough to be a travelling companion. With 15 programs (from which I actually only use 5) firing on two possible channels it is plenty of fun in a small box. Being an analogue power box the stimulation is a bit smoother and a bit finer adjustable than digital power boxes. The most important aspect which makes this box one of my favorite toy is how easy it is to use: With just four rotary knows it takes only a minute to explain the controls to a top and then surrender to him.

The ErosTek ET232 costs $299 at Mr S Leather. If you are living in Europe I recommend ordering it from Regulation £335 due to possible custom problems when directly order in the USA. Carbon Fiber Pain Stick

Vendor: Mr S

The Mr S Carbon Fiber Pain Stick

Construction

The Carbon Fiber Pain Stick’s basis is a 39cm long carbon rod with a diameter of 2.7mm. Unlike most other carbon fiber rods it is a solid one with a deburred tip. The former minimizes the risk of breaking or splintering, the latter prevents it from causing involuntary cuts. The lower 10.5cm of the rod is covered in isolating rubber with vinyl tips on both sides. Through the bottom tip runs one a nylon string loop.

Playing with the Carbon Fiber Pain Stick

Carbon is a mean material for an impact toy: Lightweight, stiff, yet flexible. So the blows delivered by it are very stingy making the Pain Stick a delightfully devilish toy which needs to be handled delicately. Just a light tapping on the same spot can cause irritating pain, several blows will leave a welt. Because of that this is a great toy for mindfuck-scenes: The top doesn’t induce much force yet the sensation felt can be intense. The small size makes it an ideal for lightweight toy bags when going out to a bar or for precise targeting. But always keep in mind that this toys isn’t made for warming up the skin so adjust the ramping of the scene accordingly.

Another method of using the Pain Stick is pulling the tip back and flick it. This will induce extremely stingy pain which intensity depends on how far you pull it back and if only the tip or the entire rods hits the sub’s body. When you pull back the rod far enough blows can even be felt through thick leather! On bare skin bruises and welts are likely to occur. Since a lot of force is transmitted this way the target areas should be chosen carefully: On thin skinned body areas like the glans the skin will most likely break, delicate body areas like the balls serious bruises or injuries of the spermatic cord can lead to a visit of the ER.

Detail of the Rubber Covered Grip Section and the Loop

Carbon is a conducting material. So if the bite of the stick itself isn’t agonizing enough, it can be connected to an e-stim power box using a pole connection clamp. Since the e-stim sensation should be felt at the impact point, I recommend using a mass-rich counter pole. When playing on the ass or using the Pain Stick for CBT a metal anal electrode is the best option but a conductive rubber loop around the balls or base of the dick also works. For hitting the nipples a pad electrode attached next to the nipple is the safest option.

Since using this toy extensively on a sub can lead to contamination through sweat, interstitial fluid and blood, proper disinfection is important. Luckily carbon is a very low maintenance material in that regards. Simply wash off the residue with warm soap water, let it dry and spray a sanitizer on it. As robust and flexible carbon is, it sadly can break or splinter. So after ever scene, inspect the rod if it is still perfectly smooth. If not, replace it with a new one. The injuries cause by breaking or splintered carbon fiber are very serious and hard to treat.

Conclusion:  Small delightfully devilish toy with huge pain potential.
