Construction

This paddle has a very traditional shape: It consists out of a rectangular 25cm by 9cm head which tapers into a 15cm by 3,7cm grip. Onto the back of the grip a thick leather flap containing a welded d-ring is riveted. The bottom of this toy is made out of a 2mm thick bull hide. Next comes a piece of spring steel which runs through the entire toy and another piece of 2mm thick leather. On top 1mm thick soft cow hide is used which covers a piece of thick approx. 15mm thick, soft padding at the head. All layers are glued and sowed together for a very quality feel and add up to a weight of 360g.

If you don’t like the black color my paddle has, you can also get the paddle in dark red.

Playing with it

While the Janus Paddle I reviewed a couple of weeks ago was good for hitting small areas this is the toy to pick up for a proper, traditional spanking scene. It is large enough to distribute equal impact force onto both buttocks yet small enough for hitting the inside of individual thighs when the sub is bound to a spanking bench. Due to the almost lavish amount of padding the soft side of this paddle is either good for warm-up or delivers a strong, deep thud depending on the hit’s intensity. The unpadded side works like a traditional paddle. Because of the relatively high weight it takes more swing force for a strong sting sensation. This in my opinion makes this paddle ideal for a spanking beginner – both top and sub because it is hard to accidently create unwanted strong sensations. An experienced spanker will of cause soon learn to create all shades of sensations making it ideal for a very varied scene.

The coloring of this paddle really depends on the side: While the firm side colors the skin fairly quickly when you really sting, the soft side doesn’t color at all instantly. But after a long, intense thuddy scene there is a high chance of leaving bruises behind.

Sadly and unsurprisingly the paddle is slightly imbalanced towards the head so be prepared that your wrist will probably get tired sooner than you would expect from a lighter and more balanced paddle.

The basic design resembles the Dungeon riding whip I reviewed about two month ago. The shaft is made entirely out of several layers of thick and sturdy bridle leather which is sowed and glue together. The hand loop is glued between the different leather layers at the bottom of the shaft. The length of the shaft is difficult to determine. After 28cm approx. 3cm wide and 18cm long swat starts but the shaft continues for another 8cm making this part inflexible. After that part the last 10cm are a bit flexible and somewhat padded but still stiffer than “normal” swats of riding whip. The overall length of the toy is approx. 46,5cm without the hand loop.

Color wise you have to options: While the shaft is always black you can choose between a classic black or Bordeaux colored swat.

Playing with it

Getting the intended effect out of this toy requires a bit of practice because the way the swat hits the skin impacts the sensation strongly. The last 10cm of the swat produce a nice, thuddy sensation so if you want to thud you have to hit the sub only with the end. If you hit with the entire swat or the first 8cm there will also be a stingy sensation. Depending on the angle and are you hit the sub’s body you can create different and interesting effects. I have to admit that it took me quite some time to practice my technique but once you master it this toy offers some variety.

Of cause a more controlled way of impact is just snapping the swat onto the desired body area. Due to the stiffness of the thick, padded leather there is a decent amount of force in a snap, but it can’t be compared to a hit or a snap with an acrylic rod of the same size p.e.. Regardless if you hit or snap, the small size makes this toy ideal for targeting small areas. While I recommended the Dungeon riding whip for hitting the balls leisurely I use this toy to just hit single balls separated by a corresponding stretcher or individual nipples.

Another play aspect this toy is made for is sensual play. The leather covering the padding is wrapped around the top forming a round, smooth piping like ending, making it ideal to travel over the body. And thanks to the padding and thicker leather of the swat it doesn’t bend even with stronger pressure applied. The leather is also quite smooth which makes it easy to lick.

If you want an even more thuddy riding whip yet with less intense pain, McHurt offers a riding whip with a plastic shaft and swat with soft padding and faux leather covering.

As the name of the toy says it is an approx. 64cm long stick with a diameter of approx. 2,6cm. Inside the stick is a quite flexible core to which a thin layer of quite soft padding is attached. The entire stick is covered in very soft, black nappa leather. There is a fold covering up the seam running along the shaft on one side. On the lower third of the shaft a hand loop is attached. The bottom of the stick is covered by some form of plastic cap.

This toy has two sides to it: The pain side and the sensual side which work together very well. Even though this toy is lightweight through the padding and flexible the pain sensation is mainly thuddy. Don’t get fooled by the padding, due to the flexible construction you can put a lot of power into the strokes creating quite sever pain. The skin coloring is surprisingly light so you can work a limited area for quite some time before it colors for an extended period of time.

The sensual side is ideal for getting the fantasy of the sub going or for taking a carrot-and-stick approach. Because of the length of the dressage stick a top can easily walk around a kneeling sound, letting the tip of the stick travel above his skin – either with the soft, warm leather end or the harder, colder plastic one. Both side are smooth enough for creating goose bumps.

This introduction to the toy is especially effective when the sub is blindfolded and doesn’t know what awaits him. I haven’t seen a toy like this around anywhere else so on numerous occasions I had a sub expecting a baton due to the shape or a slim paddle due to the leather. The surprise when the impact is different from what they have expected is great.

What this toy is NOT is being a baton. It might look like a leather version of an old British one but it is simply is too flexible for detaining or chocking someone who is really fighting against it. I have tried it once and had to stop it because I feared to break the toy. If you have actually tried it out, please send me a mail how it went.

As some of you remember this toy was a desiderate last Christmas season. So I was more than happy when my boyfriend remembered it and gave it to me as a birthday gift this March.

Construction

This paddle resembles very much the McHurt Mini Bat which I reviewed some time ago. It is approx. 30cm long and 4,5cm wide at the widest part. Due to the padding it is nearly 10mm thick. At the bottom a leather hand loop is attached with a rivet.

The construction is a two-layer one: the one layer is made out of a very high quality, lightly taned thick and quite sturdy smooth leather (telling from the grain I guess it is bull hide). The other one is made out of soft, untreated suede which feels like velvet. The suede covers a firm yet soft layer of padding and a piece of spring steel.

The build quality is frankly one of the best I have seen on a BDSM toy: The stitching is done painstaking, the leather of the two layers matcher accurately. You can tell that this toy is made by a passionate saddler.

You can get this toy in three variations: black smooth leather/ black suede, black smooth leather/ red suede and black lacquered leather/ black suede. There was an all lacquer version when I saw this toy first in December so I guess you can also get this exterme yet stylish looking version.

Playing with it

I love this paddle for its versatility. First, there is the suede side. Three factors help to make the impact sensation surprisingly thuddy for such a small, light toy: The padding and the flexibility of the paddle which absorb some kinetic energy and the velvety suede surface which creates small air cushions baffles the impact a bit. Because the initial impact is softer and the pain is caused in deeper regions of the body, this side colors a bit less than the other. Second, there is the smooth side. It delivers a stingy sensation but is milder than p.e. the Mini Bat through the higher flexibility. You have to put more power into each blow to create a comparable sting. Yet this side colors the skin fairly quickly without wearing your sub out too quickly.

I had a chance to play with the lacquered version at Demask. It is beautiful to look at but the surface is simply hard and stings like hell! So if you are looking for a true carrat and a stick kind of session this is the toy you want to own.

Overall this toy is very well balanced. Neither any top testing it not me were tired out after a long spanking session. Thanks to the two very different sides and the ability to precisely control the intensity of the sensations you can have quite elaborate session with just one toy.

One problem is the cleaning of this toy: The soft surface can be cleaned quite easily with most disinfection agents. But a word of warning is in place: Because that surface is not treated as much as on other leather paddle I wouldn’t let it stay on there too long. The suede side is quite difficult to clean. Like the leather on flogger tails it has to stay soft so aggressive disinfection sprays or conditioning can harm it. I clean this side like I clean my floggers: Lying in the sun for about 10 days. This also means that you shouldn’t spank your sub until his skin breaks with the suede side. A sub once didn’t tell me that he just shaved his balls with a straight razor before a scene. I spanked his nuts and he started to bleed. I could clean the blood off before it dried but it was a pain in the ass (and not in a good way).

Chastity is one of the big things in (gay) BDSM. Handing over the control of one’s dick and orgasms to a top is one of the biggest sacrifices a sub can do without interfering too much with his day to day schedule. This is what makes chastity devices so intriguing.

Despite its popularity I haven’t done a chastity device review yet. I owned two: A CB6000 and a cheap steel one. The first was too small for my soft dick, the second had too sharp edges and without a proper and in-depth testing I am not writing reviews. So I was pleasantly surprised when Mister B sent me the new Bon4 Steel Chastity Cage size Regular to review. And I was more pleasantly surprised when I found out that it actually fits my soft dick.

Design

The construction of this chastity device is fairly standard besides its being made out of brushed stainless steel. There is a cage which is connected to a ring behind your balls which keeps it from falling off. The cage is approx. 8,5cm long with a diameter of 3,7cm for the shaft and approx. 5cm for the glans. Between the cage and the ring there are two pegs with 1,2cm length to keep both parts at a comfortable distance and adding up to a total usable length of 9,7cm. The chastity device comes with four rings with the following diameters: 39mm, 44mm, 47mm and 51mm. With this variety the device should fit most dicks. If you have a smaller one you can always take a look at the small version for 149€.

The device has a few unique properties due to the material. The rings have a hinge at the bottom which makes putting it on quite easily. I have also heard a lot of reports from friends who’s dicks broke plastic/ silicone chastity devices over time due to material fatigue. This is defiantly not going to happen with this device. The build quality of the toy I have gotten is superb but if there should be any rough or uncomfortable spaces the toy comes with a little sheet of fine sandpaper and tape to mend these spots. There is also a small lock in black bag the toy comes in.

It is kind of hard to write this section. The chastity cage isn’t really a toy, it is a control device made to be worn 24/7. With the high build quality and the material which will withstand moisture and physical stress the Bon4 Metal Chastity Cage is up to the challenge. But in the end more than even any piece of gear it has to fit perfectly to fulfill its purpose. A too loose ring and you can get out of it easily or it will simply fall off when walking. A too tight ring will make wearing it for a long time uncomfortable or can even cause damage to your genitals due to cut circulation. So even more than with other toys I urge you to try it out if it fits you. If you have problems with the ring sizes Bon4 offers addition ones with 36mm and 56mm diameter. The lock is quite a high quality one but still it is more a psychological barrier for the sub. A skilled lock pick will sooner and a desperate sub will later figure out how to open it with a pair of paperclips. For checkable security I recommend using numbered plastic locks.

One of the greatest problems with chastity cages is hygiene. Most devices only have small holes for pissing and some for water because materials like plastic doesn’t allow for bigger ones without compromising stability. Yet again stainless steel doesn’t have this problem so the case basically consists out of holes with some beams which makes hygiene not problem. You simply shower wearing the cages and you are all set. The material also opens the door for some torture possibilities. Since metal picks up temperature quite easily most subs fund mild ice and fire play… interesting. And I probably don’t need to tell you that steel is conductive. Of cause there is a downside: The metal makes the cage way heavier than the plastic ones. My testees had very different opinions on that topic: Some found it uncomfortable, some loved the constant pull and movement on the balls.

Afterthought

This review covers only the “technical” aspects of the Bon4 Metal chastity cage. Chastity never has quite been my kink, partly because I was frustrated with the cages not fitting my dick. I also didn’t find the thought of handing control of my dick over to a top tempting. For this review I have worn the device on and off for a couple of days and was genuinely impressed how much I liked it. Yet a true long term test has yet to be done. A top friend of mine has challenged me to a week of chastity which will begin this Sunday. You can expect a small blog entry every day about my experiences and problems with the cage. But a week doesn’t say much about true long term usability. I have been looking for a sub to be locked up for quite some time and as soon as I have found one and put into the device for an extended period of time there will be a follow-up review.

HML E-StretcherThe stretcher is made out of one piece of soft leather. The twist with this simple construction is that the leather is folded so despite the one-piece-construction the edge is nicely piping like rounded. In combination with the soft leather it makes this stretcher extremely comfortable to wear. For added stretch strength there is a seam running around the leather making the construction a bit stiffer.

The stretcher is 4cm wide and has only one diameter setting of 3,7cm which should fit most balls. Sewed onto the body is a 2cm wide separator which can be adjusted to two length with snap buttons: 8cm length and 2,4cm space between the rim of the stretcher and the separator strap and 9,5cm length with 3,3cm. That makes it a bit larger than the Mr S stretcher I reviewed in February. So if you have big ball, take a look at this stretcher. Like the Mr S stretcher there is a welded steel D-ring mounted onto the separator which is hold in place by two rivets. Sadly the rivets are quite close together so the D-ring won’t be in the middle when you adjust the separator to the larger size. I have already talked to the guys at HML they are making a new version of this stretcher with two diameter settings and more space for the D-ring. If you want this version right now, just write it into the comments when you order this toy.

The pièce de résistance of this toy are the two electrodes for 4mm banana plugs mounted on the separator strap. Because they are separate you don’t need another pole to use them.

Playing with it

I can’t say much more about this ball stretcher than I said about the Mr S stretcher in February: It is very comfortable to wear and has true long term potential. And because the D-ring is welded unlike the Mr S stretcher you can even engage in rougher play with this stretcher than the Mr S one.

As said above what set this stretcher apart are the two poles. They are 4mm sockets mounted between the two parts of a rivet so they have very little mass. Thus even with a low setting on your box you can induce quite a strong and sharp sensation. Turning the power up will soon lead to agony. Most subs than start to wiggle trying to get the stretcher off – which makes anything you attached onto the D-ring extra effective. Because the poles are placed at the middle of the separator strap you can even put silicone loops around the separated balls for really fried eggs.

I have gotten this toy from Mister B in order to review it. It was a nice reminder to review this kind of toy because I love it for its many possibilities to torture someone.

The construction of this „clamps“ (due to lack of a better word I will just call this toy a clamp) is quite simple: two approx. 23 cm long varnished black steel sticks are glued parallel inside black rubber balls on both ends. There are also two rubber rings which slide on the steel sticks. It lays in the nature of the length and sturdiness of the sticks that toy can’t be worn tight fitting under gear.

I have seen versions of this toy made with wooden sticks but I highly recommend the steel version because it can be easily sanitizes. It is also noteworthy that Mister B sells them in pairs; sometimes you only get one which might be enough depending on your usage…

Playing with it

… and you can use it on a number of different body areas. The Thai Pain Stick is most commonly used as a nipple toy. You simply pull the two sticks apart and put the nipple between them. This can be a bit tricky because you can only pull the sticks approx. 1 cm apart which might be too little for a soft nipple. I recommend stimulating the nipple until it is a bit firmer by using your hands, sucking on them or using suction cups before trying to put the Thai Pain Sticks on. Another possible problem is that you can only easily put them on the tip of the nipple. The sticks are not too firm but the sensation can be too hard for a newbie. But if you have gotten the endorphins flowing by a little finger foreplay it should be ok.

Once they are in place I love this toy for it many play possibilities. The first thing you can do is increasing the pressure by pushing the movable rings closer together. Because the sticks are relatively long the pain intensity can be dosed quite fine without having to fear that it will fall off, unlike clamps where you have to i crease the pressure with a screw. Another way to remind the sub of the clamps once he got used to them is turning them. When turning the, there is a risk that the nipple will slip through the sticks which is very painful. But that might be just the thing you were going for…

The biggest advantage of the Thai Pain Sticks is that you can still access the nipple while the clamp is in play. There are infinite possibilities to add stimulation. One thing I love to do is playing with temperature. Either rub an ice cube over the tip of the nipple or just drop wax on that small area. The wax sensation is even stronger when you put the sticks into the freezer for 10 minutes before applying them… If you want to get really nasty, put safe irritants like bee venom salve on the nipple or torment it with a pin wheel. If you pulled the nipple between the sticks a bit further you can even add a second clamp onto them for added agony.

Of cause you are not limited to the nipple when playing. The clamp can be put anywhere where you can pinch enough skin. My favorite other areas are the fore skin, the balls (be careful not to get a seminal duct between the sticks!), ear lobes and the lips and tongue. The pain sensation on these areas is not so intense but you can make a fun game: Put them on both lips and tell the sub that they must not touch and then start playing. If he wiggles too much they will enviably touch and your sub has earned a punishment.

Beyond the clamp properties I have found the pain sticks useful for a bit of impact play. Especially the balls on the end can sting a bit when snapped again the skin. Because they are so small this toy is ideal for applying pain to small areas like the glans or the nipples.

PinWheelOverviewAs the namen already states the toy is a standard pinwheel with added e-stim functionality. For connection to your e-stim box a 4mm banana jack is solidly soldered onto the top. A shrinking hose has been put over the body of the wheel so you can safely grip it.

Being a monopole you need another pole on the subs body. Most of the time I use a conducting silicone loop.

As always when playing with electricity a word of warning: Currency mustn’t run through the heart! It can be fatal!

I recommend putting the other pole on the end of the limbs (fingers or toes). Do not cross the waist or the shoulders of the arm you attached the other pole to with the pinwheel!

I have bought this toy with my first order of e-stim toys for my ET232 so I had little experience how e-stim works and how the electrode design affects the sensation. I hoped for a toy that with little currency flowing would lightly tickle and with more currency flowing it would become a torture device. I only got the latter. I have tried all programs programs on different boxes (so far Erostek ET232 and ET302R and Rimba Digital 4 Channel Box) and I have found it hard to create a non-painful sensation on body areas with a high nerve count. And even elsewhere most of the time the sensation is sharp stinging pain which can be agonizing with higher currencies.

At first I was disappointed by the toy but then I realized the toy’s potential. When a sub sees a pinwheel he mostly expects the sharp pins to sting but it is more a tickling and teasing sensation (after all the pinwheel is a medical device made for neurologists). In combination with an e-stim box the monopole pinwheel lives up to its reputation. With a little practice you can create a continuum between giggling and screaming just by turning the currency up a bit and down again.

_DSC1523Some time ago I review the Non-Adjustable Aligator Clamps from Mister B and loved them for their versatility so even new comers can enjoy them. Today I face again a reptile – and this time a mean one!

I got this clamps by accident. I was visiting Hamburg and following (old) my rule that I have to get myself a toy from every city trip I was browsing at Mister Chaps for something new. And this pair of clamps was actually the only one I did not own yet.

Like the Mister B ones these clamps are very small. But unlike them the massive, boldly looking chain is mounted onto a bail which is located at the opening mechanism axis so it doesn’t jam the mechanism. That design is very handy because sometimes you need to get these little devils off your skin FAST!

These clamps are only made for a selected group of pain connoisseurs which can cope with handling problems. Again this is a small clamp. But unlike other small clamps I have reviewed the gripping area is a really small and steep piece of metal which again has no texture. It takes some practice to grip and open the clamps. Operating it with thicker gloves on is a really hard task and as soon as your finger tips are sweaty or luby it gets really hard to open this clamps.

The form factor of the clamps (wide and shallow instead of narrow and deep like most clamps) keep it from sticking closely to your body but stand perpendicular away from it. I have tried to wear them under my rubber surf suit but aborted this experiment due to the fear of ripping it so it is a toy best used on subs with naked chest. Or should I say: Pain pigs? The pain sensation is very strong, a sharp biting feeling. And the steep pressure points which makes putting the clamps on problematic are now a benefit because they lead your finger tips towards the end of the clamps where you can easily increase the pressure – if you desire to agonize your victim. Also: These clamps do not come off lightly. I was too afraid to try it out but I believe you will probably break the skin through severe scratches when you pull these clamps off.

You could use it on rubber or leather surfaces because the spring is quite hard but it will leave marks. Also, the main pain sensation is lost and you only feel the pressure.

Despite not opening very wide these clamps through their tough grip can be put on nearly every part of the body imaginable as long as you can pinch enough skin to fit between the teeth. I once brain-stormed possible areas of use with a fellow top after the second gin and tonic and I will not write them down in order to protect sensitive readers. But believe me: The ideas made even an experienced pain pig like me shiver in fear.

After having talked so much about different ways to stretch your balls today I want to review one of my favorite toys to torture them.

Design

The Dungeon riding whip from McHurt follows a slightly different design than your standard riding crop: First of all the entire toy is made out of leather. The shaft has a length of 28cm before the swat begins and is made out of several layers of thick and sturdy bridle leather which is sowed and glue together. At the bottom end of the shaft a hand loop is glued between the different leather layers. At the top end of the shaft there is a swat measuring approx. 16cm in total length with 10,5cm usable length by 4,1cm width.

It is made out three sowed and glue together layers of soft nappa leather which is stiff enough for a decent blow.

On the whip I own the edges on one side of the swat are rather sharp and hard, on the other soft and round. I will be at McHurt this Friday to figure out if this is the case for all riding whips. The bottom of the shaft is decorated with weaved leather a bit like a knot on a flogger. The overall length of the toy is approx. 45cm without the hand loop.

Color wise you have to options: Either a classic black or Bordeaux colored shaft. The swat is always black.

The classic design makes playing with this riding whip different than with today’s standard riding crops. The swat is much large, so the impact sensation is a bit like hitting with a small, flexible paddle which is mounted onto a long handle. Also due to being sowed and glued together the “slapping effect” doesn’t occur so the pain is less intense and less stingy than you would expect from a “riding” toy. But the design doesn’t take away the nice sound when the slapper hits the skin so this toy is good for an impressive show without too intense pain. But don’t let yourself be fooled: Depending on the force you put into the blow this toy can seriously hurt!

In my opinion these properties make this toy ideal for CBT: The handle is ideal for leisurely hitting the balls of your sub when he p.e. is kneeling in front of you or is laying on a bondage table so the top doesn’t have to bend down too much. The less intense force (= pain) is enough to put the sub into agony without causing damage too quickly.

Of cause this riding whip is also ideal for a traditional spanking scene. Beside the swat the flexible yet sturdy shaft can be used for hitting. The handling is a bit difficult if you don’t want the sub to be hit by the swat but with a bit of exercise you can deliver nice thuddy blows. They won’t be as intense as when using a Sjambok but still will be memorable.
