The Oxballs Powerballs

The Oxballs Ultraballs

Ever since I set up this website I have been getting request to review cockrings. I always refused due to a simple reason: I didn’t know which criteria to use in order to write a good review. Finding the right cockring is a very difficult task (I might actually write an article on that one) and thus it would be even more subjective then the other reviews. So I got a bit excited when the guys from Regulation asked me if I would review a “universal” cockring from Oxballs for them. Always interested in new and exciting toys, I gladly accepted the challenge.

The reviewing process was surprisingly the longest and most intense of any toys I have tested so far. The Oxballs Ultraballs was worn by friends with big and small dicks and balls, has been continuously worn for over two days so a lot of different experience flow into this review.

Construction

The cockring is made out of TPR (thermoplastic rubber) which means that is it quite stretchy and will probably outlast most cheap rubber cockrings if you don’t continuously wear it as a bracelet. Another nice feature of the TPR is that you can use nearly every form of lube even silicone based.

¾ of the ring shape are a simple barrel form ring with 12mm diameter. On top there is a bold, raised “Oxballs” logo which is nice if you want to

show the guy sucking you off that you buy quality toys. The rest of the cockring is featuring two balls with approx. 20mm and between them a flat oval piece.

Playing with it

Putting this cockring on is fairly easy and can be done even with a hard dick which is a great feature when you need some extra support when you are already hard.

The Oxballs Ultraballs can be worn in two ways.

1. Balls facing down:

The balls supporting either your ball or restriciting blood flow to and from the shaft

The balls supporting either your ball or restriciting blood flow to and from the shaft

In this position the cockring’s two balls support your balls with a little pushup effect ant the oval piece lightly presses against the exterior part of your prostate. I prefer this way of wearing the Powerballs for everyday your. There is a light yet not distracting pressure in your groin which at least made me sometimes smile involuntarily due to the hidden kinkiness. When you walk and your balls have enough space to move around in your pants they wiggle a bit more and especially when you are climbing stairs you can feel a light pressure on the exterior of your prostate. The drawback of this way of wearing the Ultraballs is that – depending on the package your have – the pressure is quite low so the effect is not like wearing a “really” cocking. For that effect you have to wear it in way #2…

2. Balls facing up:

When you wear the Ultraballs upside down the two balls put pressure on the two major veins transporting blood away from your dick so the effect is like a “classic” cockring. The oval section is furthermore applying pressure to the cavernous body so your dick is a bit more upright. The intensity of these effects depends how thick your dick gets but it was noticeably and effective even on small dicks. Of cause the pressure and blood congestion isn’t as intense as with a (too?) tight metal cockring but yet again this is personal preference.

Taking to Powerball double for a more intense sensation

Taking to Ultraball double for a more intense sensation

At Folsom Europe we pooled four of these nifty little fuckers and used them as a great adjustable ball stretcher. Depending on your balls your need at least two (if you don’t have ENOURMOUS balls) otherwise the balls easily retract through the rather large hole in the middle. Taking the cockring double would work but you need really strong hands to pull it apart and this stress put on the material will effect durability.

Besides these two possibilities, yes you can wear it as a kinky bracelet and since it is available in 8 colors the is a great chance that it will be available in your favorite hanky color.

Before I conclude a work of warning: As with all stretchy Oxballs product please handle this toy with a bit of care when stretching it in order to take it off. A friend literally got blue balls when the Ultraballs backlashed when taking them off. However this might be a desired effect.

SlingKing Upper Arm Restraints

Vendor: SlingKing

Construction

Detail of the roller buckle

Detail of the roller buckle

In difference to any other restraints I have reviewed so far this pair is not padded. They are made out of one piece of pigskin which is folded three times making the restraints approx. 3mm thick and 58mm wide. The strap to secure the restraints is made out of two layers of thick leather nearly reaching 5mm thickness and has 5 metal reinforced holes to adjust the restraints. The strap also secures two D-rings which are held in place by four strong rivets. These rivets are covered with leather in the inside so in case of a metal allergy there is no direct contact between the sub and the metal. As with the restraints from McHurt all metal parts don’t seem to be made out of stainless steel but heavily chromes steel and are sturdy enough to withstand a tough scene.

The restraints in the smallest and the widest adjustment

The restraints in the smallest and the widest adjustment

You can get the restraints in two sizes: S/M which are made for a circumference between 22cm to 29cm and the one I have got which go from 29cm to 33cm. Regarding the color, they are black but you can choose between a black, red or white lower layer of the tightening strap.

Playing with it

Since the restraints are not padded the bend very easily once they have been broken in. They easily wrap around the upper arm and tightening is a piece of cake. Because the pressure is applied directly to the tissue I personally feel that I can sense more easily if they are too tight compared to padded restraints. I would recommend this kind of restraints for struggling subs compared to padded ones, especially because I had the feeling that they keep the sub a bit better in place than padded ones. Of cause you have to trade of a bit of comfort and forgiveness for “bad” restraining: If these restraints move in a bad way, they will cut off circulation. But since you don’t have to work through the give of the padding they are more easily to open than padded ones.

Reinforced holes on the strap and rivets holding the d-ring in place

Reinforced holes on the strap and rivets holding the d-ring in place

How well they fit really depends how defined the biceps of your sub is. The hole distance is 1cm which theoretically allows you fine adjustability. However fettering them too tight will impact circulation which worsen problems with too tight hand restraints, adjusting them too loose and they are useless because unlike with wrist or ankle there isn’t a foot or hand stopping them moving down. So if there is a defined muscle you can slide the restraints a bit until they find “grip”.

Once they are fitted, they are great. Because of the two D-rings which are lying on opposite sites put on you can realize even elaborate restrain scenarios like tying  the restraints to a collar or connecting them behind the sub’s back. Despite the D-rings having a bit more play than the ones on the McHurt restraints when tightening the attached ropes they keep the sub in place very well.

Unfinished edge of the trifolded leather

Unfinished edge of the trifolded leather

When purchase they are a bit stiff. It got better after a few scenes and using leather conditioner but when playing with them out of the box you need to be a bit more careful than you usually are (not that you aren’t extra careful anyways when you use a new toy ;)). Even when broken in they can leave mild to severe pressure marks when tightened strongly. I wouldn’t recommend them for long time scenes especially not on bare skin. You also have to be very careful when you sub can twist his arms a lot (unlikely yet possible): Due to the triple folding there is an unfinished and mildly sharp edge on the inside which can cause irritation or even bloody scratch marks (I am talking about power subs here).

Regarding the size I have so voice a bit of warning: I – sadly – don’t have the best trained and thus biggest upper arms on this planet. However, tightened correctly I am already using the third of the 5 holes. I can imagine that you will get problems fitting these restraints to a really beefy sub. If you want to use them as an accessory or for self bondage I found it a pain in the ass to get them onto me. On the plus side, you can use the S/M size as a wrist restraint and the L/XL one as an ankle restraint with two D-rings. They are actually the cheapest two D-ring restraints in decent quality and genuine leather I have found so far.

Long Bat and Mini Bat compared to each other

Long Bat and Mini Bat compared to each other

The bat is one of the more classic paddle forms with round ends and increasing width towards the top. It is made out of thick bull hide and has a metal inlay to keep it stiff. The inlay has a bit of a flex so  after a sever spanking using only one site of the paddle, you have to bend it into shape a bit. On the bottom you will find a loop made out of soft leather.

I own both versions of the paddle: The long bat with the measurements 41cm by 4,5cm at the widest part and 7mm thickness and the mini bat which is 28cm by 3,5cm and 6mm thick.

Detail of the stitching and the embossed logo

Detail of the stitching and the embossed logo

Playing with it

The paddles are very flexible: Depending on how you use them the pain sensation can range between a light thud to a sever sting. While the large paddle is more for spanking an ass or for lighter bastinado (depending on your subs feet size), I tend to like the smaller a bit more. First of all: It is handy, fits in most briefcases or even the inner pocket of your jacket. Also the stiffness of the inlay at the mini bat is just right so that you can snap it precisely against small areas like nipples, single balls or the glans.

Apparently both paddles have been balanced to fit a hand of my size (European glove size 7 ½). Holding and swinging them are effortless and even after long spanking sessions my wrist didn’t get tired.

Leather loop

Leather loop

Speaking of getting tired: As with every good impact toy, the character of the toy changes a bit over time. The leather gets softer over time so the sensation shifts a bit from sting to thud. If you want to create the same sensation over time you need to alter your movements a bit and/ or increase force.

If you are into coloring your sub’s skin this toy is good for it. Even after some lighter hits the skin turns nicely red but not as quickly as with for example a rubber prisoner strap. So this toy is good if you want to engage in a longer spanking session with nice coloring but not wearing your sub out.

Mister B Non-Adjustable Aligator Clamps

Vendor: Mister B

Construction

Clamps without and with rubber cap

Clamps without and with rubber cover

The initial reaction to these clamps was “The are handy”. They are quite small yet sturdy built. The tips of the clamps are covered with a small rubber covers which you can take off and find aligator teeth under them. To connect the two clamps a robust chain is connecting them. The chain is connected to the clamps via a movable bail which is mounted on side of the clamps. Sometimes the bail gets between the two sides and thus jams the opening mechanism. Because the bail is rather large compared to the opening between the sides it can be hard to get it out of the way which is extremely annoying especially when you need to take the clamps off quickly. A better way to mount the chain onto the clamps probably would have been holes in one side and a direct connection.

Testing if the clamps can damage rubber

Testing if the clamps can damage rubber

Playing with it

The size of these clamps is a curse and a gift. They are very handy, can easily be worn under normal clothes or fetish gear like rubber and don’t take up much space so you can carry them around basically everywhere. The drawback is that the pressure points are very small and don’t have any texture. When you are wearing thick rubber gloves, have lube on your fingers or generally have large fingers they can be hard to handle.

Detail of the teeth when the rubber caps are off

Detail of the teeth when the rubber covers are off

Another ambivalent point are the rubber covers for the tips. When the skin area you are putting the clamps on is dry the rubber through is stickiness keeps the clamps in place very well. But as soon as the area is getting moist like through sweat the rubber slides of easily. This is especially annoying because due to their size they are perfect for wearing under tight fitting rubber. If the clamps start to get off, you can take off the rubber covers and unveil the heart of the beast: The aligator teeth which will keep the clamps in place. They are not as sharp as on other aligator clamps and they didn’t leave a permanent mark in my test rubber and leather. But I wouldn’t put them on such surfaces anyway because in order to feel something through the material you have to add pressure which will damage your fetish gear.

Testing the grip with the caps on

Testing the grip with the covers on

This brings me to the big advantage of these clamps: The flexibility. The spring isn’t too hard so they are great as beginner’s clamps, for really long term wear, a session start or if you feel a bit under the weather and want a lighter grip. But when you take the rubber covers off you are in for some real ouch and some nice marks after you have taken them off. As the spring isn’t so hard they are actually pretty comfortable for long time pain pig use.

Testing the grip with the caps off

Testing the grip with the caps off

Sadly increasing pressure by pressing on the sides is a bit difficult because yet again of the size and the tight fit on the body. This tight fit in combination with the round rubber covers and the quite small opening sadly limit the applicable areas to ones which stick out like nipples, tongue or earlobes. Yet again, as soon as you take the covers off the available possibilities broaden starting from the lips and end at the rim of your poor sub’s glans.

SlingKing Extender Ball Stretcher

Vendor: SlingKing

Construction

The stretcher is made out of two layers of very soft yet sturdy leather so you have the soft hide on the inside and the outside. The two layers are stitched and probably also glued together.

When folded out flat this stretcher has the silhouette of a cartoon dog bone. The patches at both ends are 6,7cm by 4,3cm and feature two rows of three tight snap fasteners. On the connecting stretch of leather is a small moveable D ring mounted under a stripe of leather which is hold in place by two riveting. The stretch is approx. 4cm wide.

The stretcher has a diameter of 3cm and 4,5cm depending on if you choose to use only the outer three or the six snap fasteners. When using all six the stretcher becomes sturdier.

Playing with it

The ball stretcher closed in the wider adjustment

The ball stretcher closed in the wider adjustment

You can use this stretcher in two ways: With the snap fasteners in front or on the back. Both positions have their own thrill. When you put them up front the stretch is much more intense due to length of 6,7cm. When you put the fasteners on the back you will “only” stretch your balls 4cm but the snapper part will massage the perineum of the sub and will also push his balls a bit in front and give them support which is nice for a good beating. A nice touch is the small D ring which you can use to put weights on it or tie the stretcher onto something or do whatever your perverted fantasy inspires you to.

The ball stretcher closed in the smaller adjustment

The ball stretcher closed in the smaller adjustment

Since this is one of the few stretcher I have come across with two layers of leather it is very comfortable to wear even over longer periods of time.

The only real problem with this toy is also one of the great benefits: The very tight snap fasteners. It can be very hard to get them fastened and getting them off quickly in a case of emergency is nearly impossible.

Where to get this toy?

The big question with this great toy is: Where to get it? From the quality and way it is constructed I believe the Fetters in London has made it. But I couldn’t find it in their online shop and they haven’t answered my e-mail yet. So if you know who once made this toy, please contact me.

McHurt Screw-on Weights

Vendor: McHurt

Construction

50g weight with the snap-hook screwed on

100g weight with the snap-hook screwed on

The construction of this toy is basic and functional. The weights have a barrel shape with a diameter of approx. 2,7cm and a length depending on the weight (100g: 1,6cm; 250g: 4,7g; 500g: 9,1cm). The 1.000g weight has a diameter of 5cm and e length of 6,5cm. On top of every weight is a male screw threat with 7mm diameter and 6mm length; you find the corresponding female screw threat on the bottom. Also available are snap-hooks mounted free to move on a small barrel with a female screw threat inside to put the weights on all sorts of chains, d-rings, etc.

The weights are made out of steel with a chromium coating.

Playing with it

Generally speaking weights are very nifty toys: They can apply a steady draft without needing action from the top. Also you can incorporate them in basic yet effective mind games: The increased pain through the draft will make the bottom want to move. But when he starts to move the draft will get even stronger.

From left to right: 500g, 250g and 100g weight

From left to right: 500g, 250g and 100g weight

Through the different and thoughtful amounts of weight the draft can be dosed very precisely. Yet the construction with the small diameter can cause problems when you put together a lot of weight. I have sessions when I hit the ground due to adding more and more weights to a parachute. You could unscrew weights and exchange them for the 1.000g weights but this is not only complicated but contradicts the effect of constant added weight.

Rust on the screw threat

Rust on the screw threat

A more severe problem are the metals which are used. Chromium is a brittle material which more or less quickly comes off on the top surface and the screw threat. Because they weights are made out of normal and not stainless steel they will inevitably start to rust. At first I filed the rust away, used oil to stop it, etc. but at the moment I simply let it rust and don’t care. But if you are a fan of shine well kept toys, you should think twice before buying these weights.

SlingKing Leather Blindfold

Vendor: SlingKing

First Impression and Construction

This is a fairly basic toy: Being made out of three pieces  – two straps and the eye cover – of cow nappa leather the construction is simple yet the stitching and the leather show the very high quality. The blindfold is kept closed by a big Velcro patch which allows diameters between 14cm and 18.5cm. The two straps are 3cm wide and are bare leather on the inside. The eye cover is lined with a soft padding under a fabric cover and has a typical blindfold form with two roughly oval areas connected with a bridge over the nose back. The covered area per eye is 7cm in heights and 11cm in length.

I got the blindfold in black since it goes with all my other toys but you can have it in white, red or black and red.

The Thorncrown with the hex to adjust the screws

The Thorncrown with the hex to adjust the screws

When I first got this little devil I was pleasantly surprised by its weight.  As a person who is triggered very much by mind games you instantly get it that this toy means business. Being made out of massive brushed stainless steel it is one of these toys which are so sturdy that even your grandchildren can have fun with as soon as they have grown up. It also has a nice rough and technical appearance. Inside the ring six holes with screw threads are milled housing each a grub screw. At the end of the screws you can put a hexagon key for tightening or loosening the screws.

You can get the toy in three diameters: 30mm, 32,5mm and 35mm which is enough for most dicks but when playing with big boys it is too small. A version with 40mm or even 45mm with maybe 8 screws would be a great extension to the line.

Playing with it

As already written, this toy is great for mindfuck. Just show your tightly tied pain pig the thorncrown, demonstrate a bit how it works and whisper in its ear where you are going to put it. Most masochists will shiver in fear and/ or excitement. And they are right. The pain experience is quite unique and can be everything between a light tickling up to sheer agony. Most people will fear that the screws will actually injure them but since the heads are flattened they won’t break the skin’s surface in most situations.

One of the six grub screws

One of the six grub screws

Because every screw can be adjusted separately you can dose the pain very precisely which is necessary because at worst (or best) a nerve runs directly under a screw head. When deciding how deep to drive the screws into the skin always keep in mind that that screws are the only things keeping this hefty toy in place (see next paragraph). Because the screws have no deepness limiter this toy can cause serious harm up to bleeding wounds; screwed in to the max the aperture shrinks from the 35mm of the steel ring to 7mm between the screw heads. As a rule of thumb you can say that a full turn of the key will drive the screw approx. 1mm. I would also advise you to drive the all screws in equally because by doing so you leave the flesh at least some space to escape between the screws. If you only twist the screws on one side or even only one you nail the flesh against the steel ring which will cause injuries more easily.

The Thorncrown put onto a dick

The Thorncrown put onto a dick

Despite its weight the thorncrown can be attached to nearly every body part which sticks out. Except the penis I have put it on fingers, toes and even the tongue. I can imagine that the small version also plays very nice with pumped up nipples but I haven’t had the chance and toys to try it out. Since the screws can dig quite deeply into the flesh the thorncrown also stays in place on slippery and softer tissue. However due to the weight once the body part starts to move it can get loose and fall off. This is especially annoying when you have put it right under the glans and start to jerk your bottom boy off. It is a quite unique sensation – if the toy stays in place for which you have to dig the screws deeply into the flesh. This is a major problem: If you only want light pain and you cause another pain which makes the sub twist a bit harder the toy will most likely fall off.

Handling wise you either need to be very dexterous or have to limit the movement of you sub very much. The head of the hexagon key has only 2mm in diameter and the matching lock on the screw isn’t very deep. So you need to target the lock well and need some force to keep the key in place. The key itself it 55mm long which is a good compromise between handling and being short enough for whole revolutions – at least on average dicks. Since the key is only 2mm thick it is difficult to grasp it with thicker leather gloves and depending on the amount of lube you have on your finger it will be impossible to control it enough to fit it into the lock. Another thing to bear in mind is the fact that the screws have no limiter thus when playing around with the toy without putting it on something or releasing it you can easily loose a screw. I once spent 5 minutes after a session helping my top to find a screw which rolled under the bed. I will check on my next trip to the home improvement store how easily such screws can be replaced.

This CBT device doesn’t really play nice with any material covering the applied area. Leather, Spandex, Lycra or Neopren absorb much of the punctual pressure and will most likely keep some pressure marks. When used on rubber at best there also will be some pressure marks, at worst the material will give in.

Usually this toy will leave only little pleasure marks which fade away very quickly. But if you drive the screws very deep into the skin and maybe add some friction, p.e. by jerking the dick, the skin irritation can be very bad. The worst case I have seen were little bruises.

Mr S Eagle Talon Tit Clamp

Vendor: Mr S Leather

First Impression and construction

A thoughtful friend from Indy got me this clamps as a little gift at a dinner party I hosted during his trip throughout Europe this summer. At first I was a little bit puzzled: Two cylinders with a gripping surface, a stick coming out of them and a bit fragile looking chain connecting them but nothing to put tissue between. After the party I spend some time with this enigma and boy, did I discover some twisted but horny kink.

Detail of the gripping surface

Detail of the gripping surface

To solve the enigma: How does this clamp work? You grab the barrel and push the stick coming out of them. Than at the top of the barrel a claw-like array of five metal conductors which are a bit flexible comes out. The array opens up about 1cm in diameter so most nipple should fit perfectly.

The metal conductor array slowing coming out of the barrel

The metal conductor array slowing coming out of the barrel

Playing with it

When I first saw the array with its spiky conductors I was quite afraid of breaking the surface of my skin but luckily it doesn’t break even when letting the clamps staying in place for a longer period time. But that’s all what I can say about light play possibilities with these pair of clamps. The pain they inflict is unique! They are the most painful clamps I own, even more painful than the hard crocodile clamps. Since the conductors are circling the nipple and stay a bit apart (depending on how much tissue is enclosed in the clamp) you can feel every single conductor. Another major and important difference is the reaction to hard pulling on the chain. When you pull the chain at most clamp they tend to slip away and increase the pain because the area the pressure is applied to gets smaller. With the Eagle Talon things are differently. They usually stay in place only driving their conductor heads deeper into the flesh. I haven’t tried to rip them off because I was too scared and too whiny. There are two possibilities: Deep, even bleeding scratches or ruining the clamps because the conductors get deformed. If you have firsthand experience with pulling off this clamps, just let me know.

The conductors digging into the skin

The conductors digging into the skin

Since the array “attacks” the skin from all areas and digs itself into the tissue these clamps are very flexible. If you can pull out a bit of tissue with your finger you can put the clamp on it. Even when the skin is slippery from lube, sweat, piss or anything else not forming a too thick coating, this clamp will stay in place. A little drop of bitterness is that the strength can’t be regulated. Pressing together the array is not possible but the strength of the spring should be enough to make even an experienced pain pig whimper after some time.

Handling these little devils is a bit tricky. You need two hands to operate them: One holding the barrel another pushing the stick. Holding the barrel a bit of a challenge especially when you are wearing gloves since the pattern of the gripping section is not very deep. Even more challenging is operating the stick because on its end is a small sphere where also the chain is mounted on; there is little room for the finger which also slips away easily due to the form. This gets even worse when you’ve got lube on your finger tips. With a bit of practice you get a good feeling for the handling of these clamps but you must always stay concentrated when putting them on otherwise you might provide your sub with a cruel but unintended sensation.

This clamps should not be used with rubber

This clamps should not be used with rubber

Another thing to consider when using them is the material which might cover the area you want to attach the clamp to. If have testes these clamps with 0,6mm rubber and nappa leather. Both surfaces stayed mostly unharmed with only a little star like scratch pattern left behind. But especially when it comes to rubber I would be very cautious since the spiky conductor tips might penetrate the material. Also because the pain feeling comes from the tips digging into the flesh instead of the pressure the pain is reduced very much when applied on fetish gear.

When handled rightly they leave an interesting pattern on the skin with each conductor leaving a pressure mark which stays about 5 min. They can stay longer depending on how long you dared to let the clamp stay in place.

McHurt Light Suspension Bar

Vendor: McHurt

First Impression and construction

The 80cm and 100cm bars

The 80cm and 100cm bars

When I first picked up this suspension bar, I was surprised that how light it is. Otherwise there is not much to write about it: It is a metal tube (probably chromes steel) which comes in length of 60cm, 80cm or 100cm with shackles on the ends. They are attached to the tube with rather short butterfly nut like screws. Sadly the ankles of the ears are quite thin and thus the screw thread is very short.

These restraints have a minimum diameter of ca. 10,5cm and a maximum of about 16cm.

Playing with it

Despite being light, I haven’t had any problems concerning stability. What’s more of a problem are the screws and the short screw threats. Just through movement of the sub the screws got loose. At best the entire shackle gets off. But I have times when it was half off. I haven’t tried it out but the metal seems not to be strong enough to withstand large force when being hold on a small area thus leading to bending and trashing of the bar. Also the shackles could be a bit larger. Especially when you work with professional carabiners it can get a bit fiddly getting them through the loop.

Using the spread bar with McHurt restraints

Using the spread bar with McHurt restraints

Furthermore, keep in mind that these are light bars and week shackles. So when it comes to hanging people using the bar or really heavy action I would not rely on them. In the end it comes down to the simple question: Do you want something light and cheap (maybe for travelling or just getting to know the kink) or something really professional.
