John Thomas Toys is a good example how you, as my readers, influence what I review on this platform. Over the past few years, a larger number of silicone (fantasy) anal toy brands have been founded. Way more than I can keep track off. And sometimes, even a big brand slips below my radar (after all, ToyTorture.com is a hobby, not a 9to5 for me). So when over the course of the past few months I have been getting more and more messages about John Thomas Toys, I decided to include this brand as a first in this anal toy special.

The John Thomas Toys Beastli, Slinky, Ramsta and Conka

Construction

Like I have already written in the intro, John Thomas Toys only manufactures toys out of platinum silicone. In the past years, this material has become the material of choice for me and made me to replace ALL my vinyl toys for silicone ones. Platinum silicone is 100% body safe and hypoallergenic. The surface is super-smooth making it hard for bacteria to linger and the toys easy to clean: Soak them in warm dish-soap water, if necessary use a soft brush to get lube residues off, dry, sanitize and store away. What some consider a draw-back is that you must not use silicone lube with platinum silicone because the silicone oil in it will dissolve the silicone. As an avid anal player who only uses water-based resp. powder-based lubes like vetgel or XLube and very rarely Crisco, this limitation does not really affect me and to be frank all my other play partners. In order not to expose the toys to plasticizers that could harm them, stores them in a well ventilated place without touching other toys, especially rubber or vinyl/ PVC toys. There have been (anecdotal) cases of different silicone toys effecting each other but the reactivity at room temperature of properly processed platinum silicone is very low so it is highly unlikely.

Detail of Beastli’s Textured Glans

So much what is true for all platinum silicon manufacturer. While most companies in this industries offer almost a plethora of customization possibilities, John Thomas Toys takes a different route: They design the toys in the UK and manufacture them in the USA. This means, unlike other companies where you have to wait for weeks and months, their stock is ready to be dispatched immediately.  Drawback is, what you see on their website is what you get. Colorwise this means all toys come in black and usually in one or two other colors/ pattern. You can choose between soft and medium firmness, which – to be frank at Shore A15 and A20 is more a medium and firm. All toys come with a vac-u-lock home which makes them easier to navigate when playing with a partner (simply stick one finger in it) or enables a wide range of nifty accessories like handles, suction cups or fuck machines when you play on your own.

Detail of Slinky’s Softly Flowing Texture

Beastli, Slinky, Ramsta & Conka

Generally speaking, John Thomas Toys makes toys for texture aficionados. Almost all of their toys are covered in grooves, ridges, bumps and drops which make for an intense stimulation of the anus and the prostate. Naturally these toys are not for compete novices because the texture makes these toys harder to take than like-sized smooth counterparts. So either pre-stretch properly or choose a size smaller than you would usually do. However, some of the toys are tamer than they might look at first glance.

Detail of Beastli’s Curveted Rigdes

Beastli is the most intense of the four toys in this review. Starting out with a dullish glans textured with two rings of bumps and a considerable glans rim drop, it starts out with a bang for the anus and the prostate. The shaft’s basic shape is a steeply tapering, slightly convex cone. But this shape is actually hard to spot because the shaft is heavily textured. Five curveted, steep and thick ridges divide the body in six segments. Between these segments the surface is not smooth but covered in small grooves and bumps; it almost looks like elephant skin. At the back of the shaft runs a thick ventral groove from just below the glans all the way to the bottom. All of this texture makes the Beastil the perfect toy for riding on your own. While the diameter gradually increases, your ass opens up over time more and more to take the next ridge until you hit the base. Since none of the texture runs perfectly perpendicular, the Beastli is also a good toy for getting fucked by a partner. Twisting the dildo inside the hole unleashes a completely new set of sensations because feeling the curvature of the ridges move inside the hole is a unique sensation neither my testees nor I have felt before.

Detail of Slinky’s Tip and Texture

Compare Beastli, the Slinky is a surprising soft and gentle toy. It has actually become my top recommended toy for bottoms starting out with texture play. At the top there is a long and smooth cone-shaped glans that softly opens up the sphincter. The maximum diameter of this toy is only about 5% larger than the glans diameter. So if you can take the glans, you can take the rest of the toy. The shaft is texture with smoothly rising and relatively steeply dropping ridges. These ridges go all around the shaft. There is not ventral groove or other lateral texture. This means then a top twists the toy in order to encourage the anus to open up more, no texture will irritate this delicate body area causing it to tense up. The sensation of having Slinky more or less rapidly enter and leave the anus is more of a gentle message. So it looks tougher than it is actually is.

Detail of Ramsta’s Tip and Texture

This also accounts for the last two toys in this review. Despite being very different in basic shape – Ramsta beiong a dildo and Conka a plug – they share the same properties. Ramsta starts out with a perfectly cone-shaped, slightly elongated tip. From there on the shaft slightly increases in diameter till the base. Just below the tip a ring of six half-dome bumps with a diameter of 18.5mm and a height of 14mm goes around the shaft (all size for my size large). There are seven of these rings which are staggered so in the gap between two bumps there is a bump in the ring below. The gaps are filled with two 10mm x7mm bumps above each other. Since the diameter increases further down the shaft, the gaps between the bumps increase. To be honest, taking the first ring of bumps is a challenge. The individual bumps are quite steeps and the relatively large gaps between them are not really encouraging the sphincter to open up. So a good pre-stretch is necessary! But once inside, the bumps are so close together that they more feel like a bumpy surface than individual peaks. Yes, the sensation of having Ramsta vigorously drilled into your ass and quickly twisted is intense. But not nearly as intense as you might guessed/ feared from looking at the dildo. The sensation becomes more intense the further you go down the shaft because the gap between the bumps increases.

Conka’s Vac-U-Lock Hole as an Example for the Feature on all John Thomas Toys

With the Conka is about the same game. It looks intense but then actually surprised how gentle it was. The almost perfectly cone-shaped body is covered in staggered rows of four cone-shaped bumps. While at the tip there are two rows of small ones, over the following six rows the diameter only slightly increases so there are no gaps. The gaps between four last big bumps is filled with two small bumps. When I looked at the toy, I guessed it would be heavy to take. But the bumps are so evenly distributed without gaps, they feel and behave like a textured surface with. The sensation intensity between Conka and Ramsta is about the same as between Slinky and Beastli. The Conka gives a nice, intense massage when fucking or twisting inside the hole.

Conka with his Even Texture

Where to buy?

John Thomas Toys only sells their toys directly through their website. The models cost between £39.95 and £229.95 depending on the shape and size. When you want to purchase one of the models, I highly recommend searching for them on John Thomas Toys’ website to see if they have an exciting color for this particular toy in stock. Mine are all black but for the bunch I am going to get, I will most definitely be more adventurous colorwise.

The Tickler and the Spike are the latest varieties of the ever growing Slink family from SquarePeg. First launched in 2011 as a “plain” depth toy, now there are four textured and two smooth versions out there. So let’s see if those two make their siblings proud.

The SquarePeg Slink Tickler & Slink Spike

Construction

The Tickler follows the basic shape as all Slinks: At the bottom there is an oval, 20% larger than maximum stretch base which fits well between the ass cheeks. Into the base’s rim is the toy’s name embossed. The base flows into a short tapered neck for long-term wearing or resting when getting fucked with the Slink. The neck quickly extends to the maximum stretch which unlike other Slinks is not round but oval measuring 64x51mm and sits perpendicular towards the base. Over the length of 420mm the body tappers in very long cone to a pointy yet rounded tip. The entire body is loosely covered with about 5mm high and 18mm wide round bumps. Looking at the overall length of almost 500mm, the Tickler is just a bit shorter and thinner than the MDL size original Slink.

Comparison of the Two Tips

The Spike has a different shape than all of his brothers. Out off the 430mm overall body length, the first third is cone-shaped and tapers from a 12mm diameter tip to an oval shape of 53x64mm. Over the rest of the length it only gradually increases in size to a maximum diameter of 64x72mm. Just below the middle of this section lies a 60mm wide cluster of bumps. The rim at the end of the shaft features an Acorn-like bulge, though it is thinner and just 2mm high. Due to this bulge, the base is a hybrid of the Acorn’s dullish transition from body to neck and the Slinks’ smooth tapering transition from neck to base.

Like all SquarePeg toys, both are made out of supersoft, high quality platinum silicone which is 100% body safe, super-smooth and bendy. Also it is easy to clean: After playing, wash the toy with warm soap water, dry it, sanitize it and it is ready for play again, making it ideal for safe use during orgies. Because the silicone oil in silicone and hybrid lubes disintegrates most likely even the toys platinum silicone, only use water and oil-based lubes with silicone toys like the Tickler or Spike.

Playing with the Slink Tickler & Slink Spike

Depth play is one of the most delicate forms of anal play. Once you leave the rectum the colon is covered in sensitive mucosa which when being exposed to tactile stimulation causes the body to tense up. Because of this the Slink has always been a toy for the more depth-savvy player because the “pointy” tip easily bends away when colon tenses up, making entry into deeper areas very difficult. The Spike addresses this issue a bit. While the first 50mm of the toy shares the extreme bendiness of his brothers it then is a bit stiffer and thus easier to navigate. Both the steepness of the tip and the body are great for gradually opening up the second sphincter. Yet still, the Spike is a toy for a bit depth-experienced player due to the body’s diameter.  The Tickler is thinner but the “sudden” added girth of the bumps can cause an untrained colon to tense up, making it difficult at times to progress deeper compared to other Slinks.

Detail of the Tickler’s Texture

BUT: For the depth experienced player, the Tickler has many things to offer. First, even considering the bendiness and length that makes all Slinks difficult to handle on your own, the Tickler is actually the first Slink I found useful for selfplay. The oval body shape gives a sense of direction when navigating depth. You can slowly twist, turn and stretch until the tip finds an angle to slip through. Due to the bump relatively close to the tip this can be an unexpected intense but rewarding sensation. The bump also adds rigidness so the tip does not bend as easily as other Slinks, making it an easier toy for opening up the transition from rectum to colon.

Second, the bumps do to the colon what the SquarePeg’s Pegger range does to the anus: The bumps will stimulate the sensitive colon in ways none of my testees have experience before! The added girth of the bumps makes the toy feel considerably wider than it actually is leading to a stretch sensation comparable to a way higher depth play experience level. To take this sensation further, slowly and carefully twist the toy. This will force the oval shape out of a comfortable and less stretching position into the direct opposite. Of course, twisting will also draw extreme attention to the bumps. Slowly twisting, the bumps massage or tickle the colon, depending on how sensitive you are. Increasing the speed drove most testees to a state somewhere between agony and ecstasy and lead them to tense up. Luckily, being made out of such a soft material and the bumps being very smooth, the chance of even a very “active” sub being injured is very low.

Detail of the Bump Cluster on the Spike

Like the Tickler, the Spike is more for the experienced play. The huge shaft is MASSIVE due to silicone’s weight. Being stiffer than other Slinks in theory it is a tad bit easier to handle. But the weight requires two hands to wield it. Doing that crouching and with lubey hands is a challenge; the toy itself does not stand up.

So better get a partner to insert the Spike into your rectum and colon. Spike’s unique shaped compared to the other models make it a perfect training tool for taking a hand deep. The wide shaft stretcher the colon and prepares it for the sensation of something big moving inside it. Furthermore, the relative stiffness while preserving much of the supersoft silicone’s bendiness helps straighten the colon out a bit. Not forcefully but nudging it in the right direction.

The bump cluster is a little bit of a double-edged sword: It is fun to stimulate the anus with it, especially when twisting and turning. Due to the body’s oval shape, this movement will also train the second sphincter to open up more easily. Depending on the bottom’s anatomy, the bumps can also stimulate the second sphincter and this is a huge challenge for most bottoms! Yes, the bumps are well rounded and look shallow. But on these sensitive body areas the stimulation can quickly become too intense. Some depth-savvy testees theoretically could have taken the Spike deeper but the stimulation was too intense. In the end, it is an acquired taste that can be trained over time.

Comparison of the two Necks and Bases

Compared to the bumps, the bulge at the end of the shaft is almost negligible. When the anus is exposed to this stimulation, there are much stronger stimulations felt down the colon so the little edge is not noticed. However, this added kink helps the Spike stay inside when taken completely. A “standard” Slink neck-body transition would be too gentle to keep the heavy Spike locked inside.

Where to buy?

When you order from Europe, you can get the Slink Tickler for £149 or the Slink Spike for £229 at Regulation. In the USA, Mr S sells the Spike for $229.95; the Tickler is not available at their website yet.

SquarePeg Ripple & Vortex Slink

Safer Sex: Clean and sanitize it thoroughly

About half a year ago I reviewed the two most popular depth toys from Square Peg: The Depth Probe and the “smooth” Slink. Since then I have gotten many reader questions about the Slink, especially the textured models which I will answer in this review.

The Square Peg Slink Smooth S, Vortex and Ripple M

I have also been getting questions about the Slink Spike and the Slink Stretch which exceeded my budget. If you want to fix that, feel free to get in touch 😉

Construction

Both Slinks have the same basic shape as the smooth one: At the bottom there is an oval, 20% larger than maximum stretch base which fits well between the ass cheeks. It can also be equipped with a suction cup, ideal for selfplay in the bathroom. On the base’s rim there is the toy’s name and size imprinted into. The base flows into a short tapered neck for long-term wearing or resting when getting fucked with the slink. The neck quickly extends to the maximum stretch which than tappers in very long cone to a pointy yet rounded tip.

Detail of the Slink’s Plug-style Neck

As the name already says, the Ripple’s body is covered with gentle, about 2mm deep grooves. The distance between the grooves starts out at about 20mm and gets smaller the closer they get to the tip. Around the Vortex’s body run four 6mm high ridges like on a wood drill.

The Vortex only comes in one size with an overall length of 500mm and a maximum stretch of 60mm which places it between the Medium and Medium/Large smooth Slink. The Ripple Slink comes in too standard Slink sizes medium (length 405mm and max. diameter 61mm) and large (length 533mm and max. diameter 69mm). Like all Slinks these two toys come in SuperSoft Bronze and Graphite. I have been asked numerous times why you can’t get it in Firm Black. Since the firmness and thus rigidness of a toy increases with the thickness, the bendiness the Slink needs to meander through the guts would be lost

Detail of the Vortex Helix-Style Ridge running around the Body

Playing with the Ripple & Vortex Slink

Since I already talked at length about the Slink as a depth toy, I want to focus on how the specific design features impact the play. First, the Ripple Slink. One of the “disadvantages” of the smooth Slink is, that it just smoothly flows inside the bowels. While this is good to train the butt, most of the feeling is lost. The Ripple fixes that because the grooves add a bit of friction. Not so much that it would be difficult to insert because they are not too deep and the edges are well rounded. But the sensitive nerve endings inside the guts and sphincter notice them. So it is a more “fun” sensation getting fucked with the Ripple compared to the smooth one. The grooves also divide the body a bit into sections which are points where it bends easier compared to the “solid” smooth body. This makes navigating inside twisted passages easier.

Detail of the Ripple’s Grooves

The Vortex also introduces a new sensation. When twisting the toy, the helix-like ridges create an intense sense of motion rarely felt on other anal toys. Especially deep inside the guts it is a weird, unusual though by for most of my testees not unpleasant sensation. While the Ripple’s bendiness is good for exploring willing guts, the Vortex is ideal for bowels which are a bit challenging. The ridges add sturdiness but if you hold it loosely, it will twist in the way of lowest resistance and find its way. The inner organs are a delicate body area so please always be cautious! A bit of force is ok with the Vortex, too much can cause serious injuries! Also, through the large surface area, the Vortex needs considerably more lube than the smooth or Ripple Slink!

Detail of the Slinks‘ Base with the Size and Product Name

While both toys are great to explore ones hole deeper, since they are too thin on the deeper end to prepare for real depth fisting. They are more toys to straighten the bowels out, accustomed them to the sensation of mechanical stimulation which ultimately makes relaxing easier during deep fisting. For stretch training the gateway to the guts, I recommend the Long Neck which I will be reviewing in a few weeks.

Where to buy?

When I am in the USA or Canada, I get my SquarePeg toys from Mr S. The Slink Ripple costs between $119.95 and $159.95 and the Vortex Slink $195.95. In Europe, Regulation has the widest selection and actually lowest price of SquarePeg toys. The Slink Ripple costs between £119.99 and £159.99 and the Slink Vortex £179.99. Regulation carries most toys only in SuperSoft Bronze. If you want them in a Graphite, add the Bronze to your cart and write in the checkout notes you want it in a different color. They then will order it for you which usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks.

SquarePeg Slink

The Entire Slink Range From Left to Right: Slink, Slink Ripple, Slink Spike and Slink Vortex

I do not only like to play with toys and ultimately review them, but I am also a bit of a toy collector, trying to accumulate iconic or original sex tools. In this category falls the SquarePeg Slink.

Square Peg was one of the – if not THE – first company which made depth toys out of platinum silicone which trough its smooth surface and right degree of flexibility is perfect for depth play. They started out with their a bit crude look Slither and over 10 years ago added the more technically Depth Probes. In 2011 they combined the two toys, added a dash of butt plug and the Slink emerged. Since then the Slink has become one of the most iconic and widely used anal toys for going deep. Because I got so many reader questions which toys for depth play to get, I reviewed the Slink and the Depth Probe this June. However, while I own the Depth Probe, the Slink was just a loan from my dear friend Teck Pup and now I want one of my own.

A few years ago, this was an easy decision: You just had to choose between SuperSoft Bronze and Graphite (though for “iconic” reasons you obviously choose the Bronze ;)). In 2015 SquarePeg introduced the Ripples versions of the Slink. A year later the Slink Spike. And two years later the Vortex arrived at the party. Which one should I get?

This question brings me to why I started ToyTorture.com 6 years ago: When facing the question which Slink to get, I searched the web for reviews of the different versions. How do the different textures feel? How do they impact how easy the toy goes deeper? Makes the textures’ added grip them easier to control? Sadly, there was nothing and with prices between $69 and $369 they are on the more expensive side of anal toys. So despite the price being absolutely fair for the quality, buying an unsatisfying toy will be extra annoying. For questions like this and to minimize the risk of buying a wrong toy, I started ToyTorture.com to give at least some orientation when looking for a toy for a specific fantasy, describing how they feel, perform and what can be done with them.

So, where does this leave me? I fear, I have to get at least three textures and compare them in a review some time the future. So, for variety reasons, my Slink wish list would probably be:

Small Smooth Slink SuperSoft Bronze

Medium Rippled Slink SuperSoft Bronze

Vortex Slink SuperSoft Graphite

If you are interested in testing out SquarePeg toys in general or the Slink in particular, you can get them at Mr S Leather in the USA or Regulation which has the largest selection in the EU.

Ever since I started reviewing anal toys way back in 2015, I was focusing on anal toys either for width or sphincter sensation play. But quickly after I published the first anal toy review, I was getting questions about toys for depth play. Since I am more of a width than a depth fistee, it took some time to get enough testee and own experience to write this review.

The toys used for this review were the large Slink on loan from TeckPup and my own Depth Probe 1.25×20’’.

Construction

Despite looking quite different, both toys share the material. Like all SquarePeg toys, they are made out of platinum silicone which is hypoallergenic and easy to clean. While the Slink is made out of their SuperSoft Silicone and comes in their signature Bronze or stylish Graphite, the Depth Probe is available in Firm Black.

The SquarePeg Slink and Depth Toy with a Splitter in Graphite as a Color Example

The design of the Slink is a very long-drawn-out cone with gently rounded tip. After the maximum diameter it tappers like a butt plug and ends in a base which is approximately 20% larger in diameter than the maximum stretch, so the entire toy is not accidently swallowed by a greedy hole. As a special order the FlushCup suction cup can be added to the base of the Slink.

The Depth Probe is one long solid silicone hose. The top tenth is a bit thickened and has a dull tip while the bottom is shaped like a grip. On one side of the hose there is an inch scale to determine how deep the toy has been inserted yet.

Playing with the the Slink & Depth Probe

Depth play is one of the most delicate forms of anal play. Once you leave the rectum the colon is covered in sensitive mucosa which when being exposed to tactile stimulation causes the body to tense up. Since the colon is folded inside the lower torso, this kind of manual manipulation is necessary to “straighten” the colon out. So entering this sensitive part of the body with a large object like a hand is a real challenge, thus depth toys are a useful tool when starting out depth play.

Detail of the Depth Probe’s Thickened Tip

For getting into depth play, most testees found the Depth Probe more useful. Being made out of “firm” (still, you can tie a knot in my 20’’ long one…) silicone, it is a less floppy than the Slink and thus easier too control. The dull tip makes getting around the bends more difficult but the added stiffness opens up the colon for the tube which follows and straights the colon out more easily.

The pointy tip of the Slink on the other hand can feel a bit spiky on the mucosa. Also, the floppiness makes it a bit difficult to get around the first bend which connects the rectum and colon. But once inside the flow of the toy and the nimbleness makes it easier to get around the bends. The increasing diameter helps to stretch the tight colon over time to prepare it for a hand. When interested in self-play, the Slink with the suction cup is the best option. To insert an anal toy, most people crouch or squat which tenses up the colon; for sitting on and gently riding them, both toys are too soft. But attaching the Slink to a tile wall and wiggle the ass until the Slink finds it way, is the most relaxed way to stuff oneself deep.

Detail of the Slink’s pointy Tip

Especially when playing with the longest Depth Probe, a deep cleanout before play is a must. Usually a human’s large intestine is 1.5m long so reaching the small intestine with a hand or a toy is unlikely. But if this happens and bacteria from the large enter the small intestine, serious infections can happen. Another important safety advice is, regardless of the play style or D/s relationship between top and bottom, depth play should never be done forcefully! While a sphincter and the rectum can take a relatively hard beating especially after training, the colon’s mucosa stays fragile and tearing it can lead to serious, possibly lethal injuries and infections!

As already said, both toys are easy to clean so they are ideal to be used on different partners after a thorough cleaning. The smooth surface makes it difficult for bacteria to settle and the material can be autoclaved (after cleaning off any lube residue!) to be entirely sure. But also soaking it in hot water with dish soap and vinegar cleaner, letting it dry and spraying sanitizer on it, works well, especially when you want to use it again quickly.

The OrganoToy Saber S und L

Vendor: OrganoToy

Construction

The basic shape of the Saber is easily explained: It is a very long stretched cone which come in two sizes, small and large. Both cones taper from a rounded tip with about 20mm diameter over 480mm length to a maximum diameter of 60m or 80mm. Below this maximum diameter both Sabers have a small neck before flowing into a sphere of the respective diameter. After a small taper there is either a small shaft again (Saber S) or it flows sand clock-shaped directly into the base. If you really want to take the Saber DEEP, you can insert 570mm into your rectum and colon before you reach the 30mm thick round base which on both models has a 20mm larger diameter than the individual maximum diameter. Into the base a shallow suction cup is molded. It adds a bit of stability but cannot rein in the massive floppy toy boy.

For all its products, OrganoToy uses ISO 10993-10 certified platinum silicone. This material meets the highest standards of body and allergy safety so the toys are 100% body safe and easy to clean. Furthermore all of OrganoToy’s products are also compliant with the new toy ISO standard 3533 2021.

Suction Cup inside the Base of the Large Saber

Silicone also comes in a wide spectrum of firmness from floppy to HARD. The Saber can be ordered in split firmness for an easy to control base and bendy shaft. Besides these properties, platinum silicone can also be colorized easily. So the Saber can be manufactured in elaborate fades, marbles or with glow in the dark colors. If you choose a split firmness between the lower section of the toy and cone-shaped body, you can choose two distinct colorations. My color theme has been “photon swords” with metal “grips” and glow in the dark “blades”. Both options cost a bit extra but are worth it if you invest into such an individual toy.

Playing with the Saber

First things first: The Saber is a bitch to handle, regardless of the size. It is one of the longest depth toys on the market, sitting between the SquarePeg Long Long Neck and SquarePeg Slink XXL in insertable length. Since the Saber should go around the bends of the colon, it must be soft, so the shaft is naturally floppy. The floppiness can be reduced a bit with choosing the firmer base but it will still be a soft toy. How soft – which Shore value – is best is highly individual and depends not only on your preference but also body. Some prefer a soft toy sneaking around the bends and “curling” up when there is a barrier, blocking the advancement. Others need a firmer toy to straighten out the kinks with SLOW and SOFT pushing forward! The firmer the toy, the more careful your advances down have to be. Otherwise serious, potentially leather injuries can happen! So for safety reasons never buy firmer than Shore A5 and proceed with caution.

The Pointy Tip of the Saber

This sounds more serious and dangerous than the toy actually is. With the relatively thick and rounded tip the chance of puncturing your colon with a Saber is almost zero if you listen to your body during pay. The larger diameter of the tip leads to an overall higher stiffness of the upper third of the toy compared to a SP Slink in the same firmness. Due to this the tip bends less easily. This is especially useful when starting out depth play because instead of bending away when the second sphincter tightens up, the Saber can stretch this hole.

What speaks against the Saber as a beginner’s toy is the length. The best position to slowly and carefully go deep is kneeling over the toy and controlling the thrust with your thigh muscles. This is impossible due to the length of the Saber. When OrganoToy releases an about 1/3 shorter version for more easily controlled play the Saber will become a good toy for beginners.

For experienced players, the Saber is a good tool for training depth deeper. Depending on the firmness there is not much difference to the Slink – until you are about to take the Saber all the way. The sphere above the bottom is a what the Saber apart from all other depth toys. On the one hand, it is a gauge for how for up your ass you have taken the toy. On the other hand, it adds a new level of stimulation. The steep stretch of a sphere triggers the nerve endings inside the anus and with a bit of luck, depending on your physiology it even presses against your prostate. Both the stretch and stimulation are not aggressive so it does not encourage rapid movements that could lead to injuries down the way.

The Sphere Section of the Saber’s Lower Party

If you belong to the few how enjoy the fullness and movement of silicone deep inside your body, the Saber is the superior toy. The base locks the toy way better inside you than any other depth toy! If you are in for strong stimulation, the Saber picks up vibration applied to the base better than other depth toys, especially if you go for a bit firmer silicone.

Where to buy?

Since depth play is HIGHLY individual, I would highly recommend buying the Saber directly through OrganoToy’s website. This way you can customize the firmness just the way your hole needs it. And yes, you can also choose the color. The Saber S starts at 99,96€, the Large one at 199,96€. Of course customization costs a bit extra.
The Saber is also available at OrganoToy retail partner. There are only a few yet but if you want to know where to shop brick&mortar or want to become a retail partner, send them an e-mail.

The SquarePeg Razorback

Vendor: SquarePeg

The name SquarePeg is associated with tools to get your hole read for a fist, literal Depth Probes, geometric masterpieces or maybe even realistic dildos. But the term “Fantasy Toy” is usually not one of them. However back in 2008, before Villainous Wyrms kick started the fantasy toy craze, SquarePeg introduced the Razorback, a toy sadly often overlooked. So buckle up, because way are going on an intense ride!

Construction

Razorback’s tip is like an oval cross recess of four ridges. On the top and on the bottom these are thin, yet to the bottom widening bands of ridges which end about 65mm above the bottom. On their way down the individual ridges get longer and display a display a nifty design feature: They are slightly offset, meaning the edge of the top ridge is positioned above the slope middle of the bottom one. So when you ride the toy slowly the sensation alters between the two ridge bands. To increase this sensation, the Razorback bends slightly forwards.

Lateral there are three ridges: One kinked flowing into the tip forming almost a glans, one one third and another two thirds down the shaft. The lower two are rising quite steeply out of the smooth flanks.

On the way downwards the diameter of the Razorback gets bigger and changes shape. The bottom is a square with 100mm edge length. This geometric form makes the Razorback very gripable especially when a top is operating the toy and twists it inside your hole. If you are playing on your own, the wide base makes for an excellent and secure stand even when bouncing on the toy hard.

Detail of the Ridges

SquarePeg only makes toys out of US made platinum silicone. This means the toys’ surface is super smooth which makes it hard for bacteria to linger and easy to clean. All toys are 100% body-safe and hypo-allergenic. These advantages come with a small disadvantage: You must not use silicone toys with silicone lube because in the long term it will destroy the toy. SquarePeg claims on their website that their toys are safe to use with quality silicone lube but I would err at the side of caution and only use it with water- or oil-based lubes. Colorwise you are limited to SquarePeg’s signature Bronze or Graphite since this toy is only offered in supersoft firmness.

Playing with the Razorback

The glans of the Razorback gently opens up even tighter sphincter. At about 60x47mm at the first ridge edge in combination with the supersoft silicone it is a toy even an advance beginner can enjoy.  As you ride the toy deeper into your rectum, you experience the pure genius of the ridge design: Steep enough to stretch, yet soft enough to gently plop through the sphincter. If you ridge a section of two or three ridges up and down, you really feel how alternately they stimulate the prostate and tease the tailbone (which some testees actually found uncomfortable). One caste testee who’s specialized in prostate orgasms called the Razorback “a gentle yet rapid fire Organotoy Saw”.

The „Glans“ where the four Ridge Lines Intersect

Even for going into the colon, the toy has been purposefully designed. The ridges work as predetermined bending point. So when there is a kink to get around, the body will adjust making going deep somewhat easy. If they colon does not tense up due to the intense message of all ridges.

The lateral ridges are something only really experienced players can enjoy. The sudden increase in diameter gives a GOOD stretch in the sphincter and once you have gotten to know the toy well some orientation how deep you have taken the toy already. However such increase suddenly knocking at or worse busting through the transition of rectum to colon can be a painful experience. So especially when going to, progress with caution the first few times.

Since the body’s intersection is oval, the orientation how you insert it, changes the sensations drastically. If you insert it in line with the sphincter it gently opens you up and stimulates the prostate like written above. If you insert it perpendicularly, it “forces” open your hole open. The ridges scratch the sides of the sphincter and the lateral ridges almost knock over the prostate. It is a very strange and “dull” experience, lacking the finesse the Razorback usually has. But if you are into this kind of play, give it a try! If you want to go deep, make sure the arch of the Razorback is in line towards your colon. Otherwise it is almost impossible to go this way. What I do recommend however is for the top to twist it while moving in and out.  The added stretch and  surprising position of the ridges are a very horny experience.

The Massive Base for a Firm Stand and Intense Maxiumu Stretch

All things considered, the Razorback is a typical SquarePeg toy. Each “sensation point” has been designed and placed so cleverly, only a sculptor and ass play aficionado could do. Conversely, the Razorback is a toy of nuances to be experienced and appreciated. Of course you can ride is vigorously and have hot and horny time. But my testees and I agree, it is best enjoyed not lying in the sling but in doggy position when the colon is most relaxed. This way you can focus on each ridge popping, the diameter slowly stretching and scream out of ecstasy when the top twists the toys deeply lodged inside you.

 Where to buy?

Being a very particular toy, not many retails sell the Razorback which is a pity! It has become one of my favorite toys for depth play with experienced kinkster! It sells for $239 on SquarePeg’s website. On there you have the advantage of their Shop@Home program where you can look at their toys in your home and then decide if you want to keep them.

When I tweeted about the arrival of new SquarePeg toys in September, the most messages I have gotten were about the Long Long Neck! So naturally I start with the depth toys in the review order 😉

The SquarePeg Long Long Neck & Sigmund

Construction

The Long Long Neck – like his name twin – starts out with a almost hand with all fingers-pushed together-like head. This tip is 130mm long and being oval measure 58x62mm in the largest dimensions. The head than smoothly tapers to the oval body which over a whopping 480mm increases from 42x48mm to a rectangular 76x76mm! This means the overall insertable length is 610mm! At the bottom is a thin base which at 96x96mm is not much bigger than the maximum dimension.

Sigmund’s Few yet Thick Veins

The Sigmund is what I would call “a functional” dildo.  It starts out with a stylized anatomic correct glans which measures 52x58mm. On top of the glans the steepish drop is 7mm while at the bottom the glans smoothly flows into the body.  The body below the glans measures 48x58mm. It is textured with very few yet high veins! Over the course of 230mm the body becomes round with a diameter of 61mm so the insertable length is 300mm. Sigmund has a wide base for a secure stand.

Long Long Neck’s Head

Colorwise both toys are available in Bronze and Graphite, SquarePeg’s shades for their famous SuperSoft silicone. The Sigmund is also available in Black which stands for “firm” in the SquarePeg world.

Playing with the Long Long Neck & Sigmund

At a first glance, the Long Long Neck looks a bit intimidating and hard to handle. But frankly, I was surprised how well the Long Long Neck handles in the playroom. This is due to the head which sits on a dildo-thick body. So unlike the Slink the Long Long Neck will not flop around if gripped properly and the tip does not bend when being pushed against a something resisting (this will become important later!).

Speaking o the Slink: The Long Long Neck is for DEEP Play. It dwarfs the Slink XL which I have and is almost neck on neck with the Slink XXL! But the Long Long Neck is the better toy when you want to play deep. The Slink has the problem that the often tip bends when it reaches a tight spot and thus blocks the way. The almost hand-link head doesn’t do this but can “force” its way and even out kinks ahead of it. Of course this requires more careful play! When you cannot go further or feel pain, stop! Since both the head and the body are oval and thus have an orientation, pulling back a bit and pushing further with slow, controlled twists can sometimes even out the path. Bur your colon is a very delicate area so play with this toy extra carefully! This also accounts for when pulling it out. While the Slink only gets smaller the further you pull it out, with the Long Long Neck there is always the thicker head coming. So especially when you have irritated the colon to much, it’s tensing up and you are in deep, remember that the head needs to pass potentially now tighter intestinal loop.

Left a Slink XL, right the Long Long Neck

There are two challenges with Long Long Neck’s length. First, the human colon is about a 1.5m long. So in theory it should not reach the small intestine. But every human is different and if you bring bacteria from the colon to the small intestine! So be extra careful when going really deep and if you feel a pain like you had when you trained your second sphincter to open up, stop immediately! Second, despite having written that is it easier to handle than a Slink, it is still a very long toy! When playing deep alone, I usually squat down because in this position your colon is most relaxed and you can best control the speed and somewhat the way the toy goes in. At 610mm this is not possible. So I pop in the head in doggy position and squat further and further as it slides in deeper. This makes the toys harder to control but is the only feasible way I have found.

While the Long Long Neck is a toy for really experience depth player, the Sigmund is for people who want to get started going deeper. The biggest challenge with depth play is that the sphincter which marks the transition between the rectum and colon is very sensitive. Unlike the anus it is not desensitized through external physical stimulation. Everything pressing more or less forcefully against it causes it to tense up and is very painful. Because of this a toy to train this area is needed. Most dildos have a too dull glans and/ or are not bendy enough to reach the Sigmoid (that is where Sigmund’s name comes from). What you want it a point glans on a flexible shaft, both of this has Sigmund.

Sigmund’s Glans

The glans’ tip is small and nimble so it can anchor itself in the second sphincter. Once this is done, carefully proceed and stretch it softly. Like the Long Long Neck both its’ glans and shaft have a direction. So if you cannot go deeper, pulling back and twisting a bit can help to press on. Twisting will also stimulate your anus. It has less veins than the Leo or less texture than the Mel but the few, very high veins are enough for a horny stimulation. Even more so if you get it in firm. But this option I would only recommend for already depth-experienced players who already have pushed past their second sphincter. In firm, the body does not bend much and instead of gently opening up the Sigmund it will rape it open. This is too much for this delicate body area!

As I have written the Sigmoid needs to be desensitized before you can enjoy depth play. Sadly this means, the training will not go without some discomfort during the process. This is why I recommend depth training alone. Alone you are in command how much depth and force you apply and which discomfort still feels good without being a sign of an imminent injury! There is sadly no guideline how much pain is still acceptable. Especially when starting out, be careful and take it slowly. Get to know this new region of your body through the toy and do not rush it. When for the first time Sigmund’s glans pops through the second sphincter and it closes behind it, it will almost feel like your first fist and you will want it out. This is a normal reaction. But once you have reached this mile stone, in the next session you can carefully go a bit deeper.

Long Long Neck’s Base

Before I have gotten Sigmund, I always recommended the Thick Worm for starting depth training. While an insertable length of 350mm means you can go deeper it is also a bit harder to control and with the smaller head the desensitizing especially for bigger toys less effective. And since you do not want to go too deep when starting out, I would not actually recommend the Sigmund over the Thick Worm when starting out. Even though the Thick Worm remains my favorite depth toy.

 Where to buy?

Both toys can be directly purchased at SquarePeg’s website. This gives you the advantage of their Shop@Home program where you can look at their toys in your home and then decide if you want to keep them. The Sigmund costs $149, the Long Long Neck $299.

Construction

These are the first explicit depth toys in this Anal Toy Special, so naturally the Thick Worm and the Thick Stamen are on the longer side of toy design. Both have a usable length of 350mm. This enough to stimulate the second hole and penetrate it, yet with a little bit of practice both toys can be taken completely without much challenge. These are the only similarities the two toys have.

The Thick Worm starts out with a triangular head which makes pushing it in quite easy. The head is 55mm tall and smooth and tapers from 25mm to 42mm.

The SquarePeg Thick Stamen & Thick Worm

Below the head there is a 3mm drop. Over the length of 19mm the diameter increases again until there is another 3mm drop. These “scales” are very lightly textured with very shallow vertical grooves. With each scale the edge length of the triangular toy body increases a bit, slightly increasing the diameter up to 65mm at the last scale. The toy then flows into an oval base. The base can be equipped with two extra features: Either a suction cup which a friend who has one on his Thick Worm says is too weak to hold such a long and heavy toy or the SquarePegHole. This hole is a universal adaptor for the various fuck machine adapter standards. There is also a market out there for stand-alone accessories like suction cups or handles. So in my opinion you are better off and more versatile with the SquarePegHole.

The Stick Stamen on the other hand starts out with a round, long head that tapers over 72mm from 30mm to 56mm. After the maximum stretch, there is a smooth decrease in diameter by 5mm after which then to starts to expand again. This repeats 4 times until at the last of the 5 cones the maximum diameter reaches 71mm. Between this cone and the quadratic base is 52mm thick neck for resting when you have taken the entire toy.

Detail of the Thick Worm’s Triangular Head

As the name of both toys already implies, there are shorter and thinner versions of both toys available.

As in this review of heavy depth toys, I am surprised that SquarePeg offer these toys not only in their signature Supersoft Bronze which I have bought and the Supersoft Graphite but also in Firm Black. From the sensation side I can understand why they offer these toys in Firm Black because especially on a loose hole, they will feel more intense. But since firmness also compromises bendiness, I am not sure if these toys could work in that material (though, as an texture junkie, I am very intrigued to find out!). If you have any of those two toys in Firm Black, please let me know how they feel and work.

Detail of the Softly Tapering Cones along Thick Stamen’s Shaft

All three color options are made out of Platinum Silicone. Unlike other silicone types which are cured with lead for example, it is 100% body-safe, hypo-allergenic and easy to clean. Simply soak in warm dish-soap water, use the dishwasher or autoclave them after washing off the lube. For extra care, sanitize them to be 100% sure.

Like all silicone toys, these two should never be used with silicone lube since the silicone oil in the lube harms the surface and can destroy the toy. Water- and oil-based lubes are safe to use with both toys. Since different plasticizers can also destroy the silicone, they should be stored together with vinyl or rubber toys. If they have to be stored together, the place should be well ventilated and the different materials should not touch.

Detail of the Scales Texturing Thick Worm’s Shaft

Playing with the Thick Worm & Thick Stamen

Being relatively thick right from the top and not too long, both toys – unlike other depth toys – are easy to handle. With light pressure the tip pops in and then keeps the toy upright when riding it. The body does not bend too much under pressure so it is a good toy for selfplay when you start to explore depth – sadly unlike the Slinks which are way harder to get in and control when you are inexperienced. Despite both shafts being bendy, they are rigid enough to be navigated, find their way inside the hole and go deep, again unlike the Slinks which tend to curl up inside the rectum when you are inexperienced.

Sensation-wise both toys are quite different and it is hard to tell which of the two the “softer” one is. The Thick Worm’s vertical grooves help to catch the lube, making it a toy for a bit longer ride. The subtle drop after each scale intensifies the friction sensation all ass toys create inside the sphincter during fucking. This makes the Thick Worm’s sensation a controllable simply through the speed it goes in and out of the hole. The triangular shape creates an unusual and surprising sensation when turned inside the hole and especially the second sphincter. Some of my testees and me found that the triangular head made it a bit easier for the toy to navigate inside the rectum and penetrate the second sphincter because there is a sense of direction.

Detail of the Thick Stamen’s Cone-Shaped Head

With the Thick Stamen however the sensation is quite different. Through the chain of cones, the stretch sensation is very prominent, especially at the second sphincter. Riding or fucking with the Tick Stamen is a serious of “pop” sensations which’s intensity can be controlled by the speed. Since there is not drop like on the Thick Worm but a steep yet soft slope, in slow motion the sphincter can gradually adjust to the change in diameter. Due to the neck, the Thick Stamen can be worn while moving around. It is an interesting sensation when the cones move inside the rectum and colon, massaging both sphincters. But the quadratic base, does not really fit well between the cheeks. One testee uses a rope harness to keep both toys in place because the Thick Worm’s body flows directly into an oval base which kind of fit between the ass cheeks despite being wide.

Where to buy?

If you are living in the Americas, there are two options got these toys. If you want the full range of colors and options, go to SquarePeg directly to get the Thick Worm for $169.95 or the Thick Stamen for $179.95. If you are in San Francisco and can’t wait Mr S Leather carries Thick Wormin Bronze and the Thick Stamen in Graphite. As a European, I get my SquarePeg toys from Regulation which sell the Thick Worm for £189 and the Thick Stamen for £179.

SquarePeg Blunger & Torque

Form: Complex Shape Depth Toy
Material: Platinum Silicone.
Colors: Graphite, Bronze & Black
Firmness: Soft
Lube: Water, Oil
Cleaning: Soaking in hot water with dish-soap than use sanitizer.
Safer Sex: Clean and sanitize it thoroughly
Storage: Store in a well-ventilated place not touching other toys to prevent damage.

Vendor: SquarePeg (USA) & Regulation (EU)

Construction

The Blunger starts out with an almost perfect half-dome with a diameter of 45mm to softly open up a trained sphincter. After a short resting recess, it gradually extends to 67mm after which a 50mm long and 51mm wide neck follows. Just at the end of the neck there is a 61mm diameter bulge, a bit like around the edge of an Acorn. Now again gradually the Blunger widens softly yet steadily to the max. oval diameter of 80x90mm. Below the maximum diameter it steeply drops to 69x80mm. After slightly decreasing in diameter for 35mm there is another 3mm bulge until you can rest on the neck above the rectangular foot after taking the entire 280mm insertable length.

Left: SquarePeg Blunger, Right the Torque both in Supersoft Graphite

The Torque is a completely different kind of toy: It starts out with a small, slightly point yet rounded tip. From there on four thick, deep ridges – like a wood drill -meander around an in diameter increasing core. The ridges are disrupted by two small untextured “necks”, dividing the toy into three, 85mm long segments. The first is one starts out at around 15mm with the tip and has a max. diameter of 65mm at around 70mm measured from the tip. The second segment is starts out at 62mm and a max. diameter of 77mm. The last one starts out at 75mm and flows into the rectangular base at 290mm insertable length without a neck at a whopping 100mm. The maximum diameter has to be taken with a grain of salt though: These is the maximum extension of two ridges, there is space between them to compress them. So taking the entire toy is feasible yet challenging even if you can’t take a 100mm plug.

To my surprise both toys despite being VERY intense are not only made in SquarePeg’s signature Supersoft Bronze and Graphite but also in Firm Black. Since the firmness also effects the bendiness of toys, I am actually not sure how a Blunger in firm black could work. If you have experience, please write to me.

Detail of the Blunger’s Round Tip

Material-wise both toys are made with the high standards of all SquarePeg toys: Pure body-safe, easy to clean Platinum Silicone – ideal for allergic people or orgies. To clean them, throw them in the dishwasher, autoclave them, use bleach or dishsoap. They toys won’t mind and thus they are quickly clean and sterilized to be pushed into a new hole. Especially when you get the soft versions of this toy, store it upright or laying down without pressure to keep the toys from getting creases. Like all anal toys, you should store them only with toys of the same material together. Otherwise the plasticizers of vinyl for example can damage the silicone permanently and irreversible.  To keep the silicone in best shape and not risk tarnishing the surface, do not use silicone lube with these toys. They are safe with every other kind of lube like oil- or water-based ones.

Detail of the Torque’s Wood-Drill like Tip

Playing with the Blunger & Torque

This is going to be hard again: My testees and I all love both of these toys because of their creative, unique shape. These toys are great examples for the founder of SquarePeg being a sculpture and real ass aficionado. He just KNOWS how a toy needs to be shaped to hit the right spots. But because of their complex shape, the greatness is hard to convey this time. So I am going to give it a try…

In the quick info box I called both toys “depth toys” and that is true to some extended. Both are long enough to penetrate and stretch the second sphincter. But until you get there, you have to master both of these toys which is an intense, hot and horny challenge.

The Acron-Like Prostate stimulating Bulge on the Blunger

The Blunger feels a bit like a Best-of of all SquarePeg toys: It has the flowing thickening of the Ballistic toys, the prostate stimulating bulge of the Acorn, the round, easy-entry tips signature to Rik Jammer, the long resting necks of the Egg and the gentle neck decrease of the Slinks. All these unique shapes have been designed with a specific stimulating purpose in mind. By itself they are great, in the combination they are close to sensory overload. When vigorously fucking a loose (!) hole with the Blunger, a firework of different sensations is set off: From stretch in the sphincter over prostate simulation followed from a short moment of just “relaxing” friction at the middle-neck until the rodeo starts again. For most of my testees the most intense sensation was when taking the toy completely: Depending on your anatomy, you are either at maximum stretch or are stimulating your prostate at the last bulge when the tip begins to stretch the second sphincter and the Blunger starts to go deep. It is an intense, literally mind-blowing experience and not for the faint of heart. Especially when playing hard with the Blunger, make sure that the hole is trained and nicely loose. Otherwise the many stimulations can make it quickly tighten up.

The Short Resting Neck which Segment the Torque between the Thick Ridges running around the Toy’s Core

Again, the Torque is a different kind of game. The small tip and gradual diameter increase make it a toy easy to take. Once inside the piece de résistance of the Torque is twisting it inside the hole. The thick ridges massage the sphincter, creating an interesting mix of friction and stretch sensation. If you go deeper, you can start playing with the angle to target the prostate and either forcefully massage it with the full width and thickness of the ridge or just lightly brush it. Once taken to the point that the tip reaches the second sphincter, it gets interesting again: Since the first segment is fairly thick and the ridges ridged, the twisting sensation inside this rarely stimulated body area was almost too much for even a depth experienced bottom who already has played with a Slink Vortex! The thickness and sturdiness of the ridges, the increase in diameter is just a (w)hole different level of intensity compared to the “soft” Slink Vortex.

Detail of the Flowing yet Challenging Thick Elements of the Blunger

While the Blunger is a good toy for selfplay (I actually recommend starting out to explore this toy on your own before letting another person work your hole over with it!), the Torque is more of a partner toy. Riding it is fun, but the thick ridges make achieving your “usual” diameter a challenge because the texture irritates the hole a bit. Yet the intense sensation of twisting and turning the ridges inside a loose hole is very difficult to achieve on your own.

Where to buy?

When living in the USA, it is best to order from SquarePeg directly because you can get the toy in your desired color and firmness. The Blunger costs $189 and the Torque $199. In the EU, it is easiest to order from Regulation though they currently only stock the Blunger for £189 in Graphite where I got mine from. If you want to get the Torque or the Blunger in a different color, get in touch with them.
