Varka, Breeder, Dragon Glyph & Echo’s Horn

The Bad Dragon Breeder, Varka, Glyph& Echo’s Horn

Vendor: Bad Dragon

Most cultures know the rite of spring cleaning. After the dark and often due to the weather dirtier times of winter, the house gets cleaned, broken things repaired, old things looked at if they need replacement. This year, I am doing a different kind of spring housekeeping: I am reviewing four “old” Bad Dragon models which have been sitting in my playroom for quite some time.

In order to keep their product range clear, Bad Dragon retires a toy after a couple of years when they introduce new ones. Once or twice a year they release drops of so called legacy toys, so you have a chance to snatch on olden but golden toy. Last year, they added a Legacy section to their website where you can browse and buy all their more or less traditional toys. So let’s look at four older and newer toys to see how they reflect Bad Dragon’s development as a toy company.

Varka’s Heavily Textured Shaft was Sculptured by Hand

Construction

Right from the start, Bad Dragon used silicone as their material of choice for their toys. This was mainly due to manufacturing reasons. The casting molds or complete toys themselves could me sculptured by hand. This way many different small batch designs could be casted. Of course, hand sculptured molds are hard to scale (proportionally). So most of their really old, pre-CAD shaped toys are one size only.

Unlike PVC or rubber, silicone is also a material that can be cured in small batches. So it was the ideal material for a small start-up company which did not make thousands of toys in the beginning. Started by members of the furry fandom, silicone’s material properties was necessary to kick off the fantasy anthro trend. Unlike the other materials it can recreated very detailed textured and complex shapes. It comes in extremely wide range of firmness degrees so from a gently massaging texture to an almost unforgiving tugging knot, all is possible. Nowadays Bad Dragon offers four firmnesses which are Extra-Soft (Shore 00-30), Soft (Shore A2), Medium (Shore A5) and Firm (Shore A8 which I would consider a still a medium firmness). The larger a toy, the firmer it will feel because there is more mass to compress. Harder firmnesses will also make texture feel more rugged. Spikes the massage in soft firmness can actually start to feel scratchy (but will never actually scratch because the material is too soft). It will also make the toy harder to take because the more complex and rigid the surface, the harder it will be for the hole to relax and open up. If you want to ride your toy, choosing a firm base with a differently firm shaft is always a good idea because it will give the toy a better stand.

The Sloppy Second Highlight Color Flowing over Breeder’s Big Knot

Coloring is also an important part of the immersion. Getting a toys colored in the way the imagined fursona’s ref sheet helps getting into the headspace. Silicone easily takes on color pigments and can display even the most delicate shades, fades and patterns, even using effect particles like glitter, metal, glow in the dark or UV reactive ones. Over the years, Bad Dragon mastered the art of coloring and has become the industry benchmark. In order to help you decide on your preferred color, Bad Dragon was the first toy company to offer a configuration tool on their website with a real-size option to see how you dream toy might look. While the coloring configurator gives you a good impression of what you will get, from my personal experience, the sizing tool should be used with a grain of salt though. I have been ordering toys from their website for 10 years now this summer and despite a good imagination how big a toy will be and despite the sizing tool, I sometimes end up with toys which are way larger than expected or considerably smaller.

The Bulging Corners of Echo’s triangular Horn

Quiet early from the start, Bad Dragon did also offer two customizations. The most important is probably the suction cup. With this add-on a deep cup is molded into the base which creates a vacuum when being pressed against a smooth surface. This gives the toy a firm stand on the floor or allows you to attach it to a tiled wall to back onto it doggy style – just in case you are feeling knotty. The other added functionality which has been offered by Bad Dragon almost right from the start is the cum tube. It is a silicone tube which runs through the shaft until the tip of the head. At the bottom is syringe is attached which can be filled with cum lube to shoot into your rectum. Especially with large toys you need large quantities of lube to full the tube with lube before it shoots into your body. For this short-lived effect the cleaning effort increases massively. I have tried the effect several times and it was not worth the effect, increased cleaning effort and more difficult handling (the cum tube and syringe is permanently attached to the toy and dangles around). But after every Bad Dragon review I publish, I get several messages by people who are in love with their cum shooting toy. So before you choose one, I recommend trying it out with a friend’s toys if the added sensation is worth everything it entails. Or buy a Lil’Squirt from Bad Dragon as a try out toy.

If you choose to get a cum tube, you must only use it with water-based lube! The silicone oil in silicone lube disintegrates silicone. First it gets sticky and then solvates the toy. So stick to water or oil-based lube. This is a good segway into the material properties of platinum silicone.

The Deep Suction Cups on the Bases of the Toys

For stuffing toys into your rectum, a body part lined with a mucosa which is very absorbent, platinum silicone toys have become the gold standard. Unlike PVC and rubber toy which can emit dangerous plasticizers, silicone toys are 100% body safe. Because of this, you must not store your silicone toys together with toys made from other materials since even the plasticizer fumes can damage silicone. Generally speaking, I recommend storing silicone toys upright in a ventilated space. Especially very soft silicone can easily get dents or creases. Silicone toys are also easy to clean. Simply throw them in warm soap water, let it soak, rinse the soap off, spray sanitizer on them and you are got to use them again. This makes them perfect for group settings where multiple holes await stuffing. The supermsooth surface of silicone not only makes them glide in more easily but also makes it much harder to bacteria to linger.

Playing Varka

Just by looking at the shape and texture, you can tell that Varka is the oldest of the four toys. Being sculptured by hand, it lacks the detailed micro-texture that Bad Dragon is now famous for. But this is not necessarily a bad thing. Varka feels a bit like a Square Peg toy. Shaped by the hand of anal aficionado, it is more designed to hit the right spots HARD instead of recreating the look and feel a perverted mind has dreamt off.

The Tips on Top of Varka’s Dull Glans

Varka starts out with a very pointy oval tip, taking inspiration from the protruding urethra of canine dicks. From there thick skeins flow into a dullish glans section with a bulging glans rim. The thick shaft is texture with the same lateral skeins. Two thirds down the toy, a massive knot grows out of the shaft with a whopping shaft-to-knot ratio of 1:1.5! The entire knot is rugged with lateral skeins & ridges and bulges. At the bottom it very steeply and quickly tapers back to a relatively long neck that is only slight thicker than the shaft. Like all parts of this toy, this section is also textured with skeins. The entire toy is sitting on a flat, round base, large enough to not accidentally taking the toy whole.

Like I said, Varka was sculpture by someone who knew anal anatomy and how a toy must be shaped like to hit the right spots. The small tips is perfect for anchoring the toy inside the anus. Yet due to the steep slopes leading to a dullish glans, it is not a beginner’s top. There is no gradually opening up but is forcefully demanding access into the anus. When relaxed, the varied textured on top of the glans can stimulate the many nerve endings inside the spincter, especially when twisting and turning, trying to coerce it to open up. For experienced player, this can be tantalizingly horny. But for novices, the textured will make their sphincter clench. Especially on the sides, the glans is bulging over the shaft. In skilled hands, this can be used to apply pressure onto the prostate.

Varka’s Heavily Textured Knot

The textured shaft is best experienced in the hands of a top. When twisting inside the hole, the deep texture is very stimulating. When riding, you can feel it a bit but you have to focus on it more since the texture is only lateral.

Bascially the same applies for the knotting. Being so heavily textured, taking the knot is more difficult than smooth bulging knots on anatomically correct K9 toys. When pressing down on your own, you can slowly feel bulges and ridges slipping through your anus, gradually increasing the feeling of fullness and pressure. Due to the deep texture, it is almost impossible to twist the toy inside the anus. Turning it inside the rectum is a completely different thing! The prostate and sensitive mucosa will be heavily stimulated, much like fingers moving inside the ass. Since the neck is also textured and since the shaft will most likely be locked inside the second spincter, this can lead to a stimulation overload. Beware when pushing or pulling the knot out! Since it is so dull at the bottom, it can really lock inside the anus! The deknotting is intense and some testees experienced intense prostate stimulation because of the knot’s pressure.

Overall, Varka is definitively not for novices, but in regards of taking the toy and processing the stimulations. Especially since it is more sculptural than fantasy designed, it is a very intense toy that can push all the right buttons – especially when you can lay back & relax and let skilled hands handle the toy.

The Gently Tapering Glans of Breeder with his S-Shaped Body

Playing with Breeder

Just due to the name, I have gotten many review requests for this legacy toy. And what color could I choose but his signature with the white color dripping over the slightly glittering black shaft resting on an almost screaming red base?

Unlike Varka, Breeder is a good beginner’s toy for those who want to take the next step. While the glans is flat and wide, it has a nice steep cone shape. So taking it perpendicularly should be easy. If you have a partner to train with, let him twist the tip inside your anus for gradually opening it up.

Starting with the glans, the entire shaft is a stack of three wide swellings that bulge at the apex. It has an s-shape, with the glans strongly curving forward. When riding the toy firmly sitting on the floor, this shape creates pressure against the anus and prostate. It is not so intense that you cannot comfortably take the toy but enough for the small bumps texturing the ventral groove and the ridges marking the apex of the swelling being very noticeable.

Breeder’s Ventra Groove is Slightly Textured with Bumps

Below the shaft sits a thick knot which only slightly bulges to the side but massively backwards. The two spheres taper steeply for easy taking the knot. There is also a small recess in the middle between them so they can be compressed a bit. The bottom of the knot is also quite dull so it first locks tightly and deknotting is a challenge. The neck is short but long enough for the sphincter to close and rest comfortably around it.

The base is elongated and relatively thin. Thus being flexible, the vacuum of the suction cup is quite strong. Also, it is shaped like the pouch most dragon furries apparently believe the pouch the dick is stored inside a wyrm’s body looks like.

Like most toys, Breeder is the most fun in the hands of a skilled operator. The s-curve is something I have never seen so extremely articulated on another anal toy. So turning the toy inside someone an lead to interesting and unique effects and feelings. When riding it on your own, it can feel a bit weird. When you are a beginner, you might want to turn the toy 90° so the oval shape of the toy aligns with the slit shape of your anus for easier taking. Depending on your anatomy, doing so will either guide the glans towads your second hole or encourage the toy to curl up inside your rectum. The feeling it hard to describe and quite unique. If you have a sweet spot for particular feeling toys, give Breeder a change. Especially since it is also available in smaller sizes too!

Glyph’s Small Glans is Slightly yet Noticable Textured

Playing with Glyph

When I first got Glyph into my hands, my initial reaction was “Training toy for really double fistees who want to train depth.” This first impression was quickly validated by my testees.

The toy starts out with a really tiny glans which is slightly textued. A ridged of two horn like spikes from the tip and a cluster of very small bumps around the glans rim. The rim is slightly bulging with a minimal glans drop. Below the glans drop sits a slight bulge around the shaft which converges onto to a lateral groove running down the top of the shaft. Down from the bulge it slightly tapers wider for about one third of the toy length. The sides are very shallowly textured with wave-like ridges.

Ideal for Going Deep: Glyph’s Small and Bendy Shaft

At the halftway point, suddenly a MASSIVE knot consisting of a cluster of six HUGE bulges stacked on top and next to each other appears. It almost looks comically to have a small, almost frail looking shaft with a glans sitting on top of this almost disproportional, sinuous knot amalgam.

Taking the knot is a bit of a challenge. Since there are so many thick skeins and voluminous bulges creating the knot, there for a complex pattern of steep slopes and dull recesses. So while on side the knot is almost easily slipping in, on the other side a wide and dull section might keep the sphincter from opening up. In theory, the complex yet flowing shape of the knot makes it interesting to turn inside the hole. But in order to enjoy it and relaxes enough for easy turning instead of fighting against the stretch, the anus must be really loose and relaxed.

This Knot can only be described as MASSIVE

Since the shaft sits on top of the big knot, it easily bends towards the way of lowest resistance. This leads to my assessment of the toy: While the textured glans might not be the best tool to open up the sensitive second sphincter, the shaft being led by the glans can easily bend to follow the winding paths deeper into the lower intestine. The shaft is not thick or heavily textured, so it can stretch this sensitive body part. At the same time, the ginormous knot can full even the largest of rectums. Doing so can lead to a sensation overload. While the sensitive sigmoid can signal intense stimulations, the anus and rectum will be full of pressure feeling, especially when choosing the XL. So even when you are an ass slut, maybe go for the large instead of the largest available size. While it is a horny toy to take when you are very experienced, it is hard to enjoy it in a relaxed way.

Echo’s Pointy Horn

Playing with Echo’s Horn

Sometimes I am surprised how quickly toys get retired and I wondered why. I ordered Echo’s Horn early 2024 and when I got ready to review it some months later, it was already gone from the website. So I put it on the shelf because posting an article about a toy which is not available anymore usually leads to a surge of message asking where you can buy it. So when Bad Dragon introduced their Legacy page, I was happy to find Echo’s Horn there so I can review it.

The shape is rather simple: It is basically a rhino’s horn. So it is a roughly triangular cone bending inwards while increasing in diameter. About one fifth down from the tip the left and right corners are slightly bulging. The entire shaft is textured with wavy perpendicular ridges which get increasingly wider and deeper down the shaft. The base is round and slightly larger than the toy. It is textured with lateral, fur like texture. So if you feel a drastic change of texture inside you anus, you better stop pushing down.

Riding Echo’s Horn is for the texture junkies like me. The consistent massage of the pattern on your sphincter and depending on your anatomy also prostate is almost meditative. While a top can try to project the tips towards specific body parts and try to twist the toy, this is a bit difficult. Even with a deep suction cup, the toy is hard to grip and to turn because the body is so massive and heavy. Most of my testees and I agree, this horn is best enjoyed sitting on a yoga block, you bounding on it while listening to a hypno file or watching a piston fucking porn.

When Riding Echo’s Horn, the Even and Deep Texture will give your Anus an almost hypnotic Massage

Lilac Experience & Shroomie

The Fruity Bee Toys Shroomy and Lilac Experience

Vendor: Fruity Bee Toys

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day and maybe some of you are still in the dog house because you forgot to get your loved one something special. Originating in Roman traditions this day was turned into a commercial opportunity in the middle of the 19th century becoming one of the major holidays of consumerism. And while this website primary audience have always been gay men*, especially the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, I get a lot of questions what to get a kinky lady*.

In old ToyTorture.com tradition, I am arriving late to the party with this review. Fruity Bee Toys is a relatively new toys brand from Germany who has a female customer in mind. Their designs are a bit more delicate and less wider, bigger, more intense than designs from other toy companies. This is also reflected in their size range. While all toys are available in different sizes, at max. diameters just going beyond 5cm diameter, they are not for fist sluts or size queens.

At this point I want to explicitly thank the FtMs in my testee panel who gave me valuable insights how well these toys play in the front yard.

Lilac’s Tip. You can see how quickly silicone attracks dust

Construction

Every orifice that we can stick toys into our body is at least partly lined with a mucosa that can absorb substances quite easily. Because of this, using only body safe toys is important. So almost a decade I have only reviewed stainless steel and primarily platinum silicone toys which is the sole material Fruity Bee Toys uses. Unlike PVC or rubber which can emit potentially dangerous plasticizers, platinum cured silicone is 100% body safe. The supersmooth surface makes not only taking the toy a bit easier but also makes it more difficult for bacteria to linger. Cleaning is easy by throwing it into hot water with dish soap, rinse and spray sanitizer on it after drying. Like all toys, platinum silicone toys should only be with alike materials since plasticizers can destroy other materials when touching or even being exposed to the vapors. The same accounts for silicone oil which will solvate silicone. Because of this, silicone toys must not be used with silicone lube but only water or oil based ones.

The Floral Relief on Shroomy’s Base

Also for toy making itself, silicone is a superior material: The originally milky-white material takes on colors and effect particles very easily. Fruity Bee Toys offer 32 different colors, either as solids or two and three color marbles. I ordered my toys as “surprise me” since I like to see how a manufacturer sees and wants to present themselves. My guess is, being a female oriented company, they chose to white and pastel marbles. But they also offer darker and more andro-associated combos. Silicone also comes in a wide range of firmnesses. Their range is between Shore 00-50 and A10 so a bit on the medium to firmer end of the range which considering their designs make sense.

Playing the Lilac Experience

According to their website, Fruity Bee Toys takes their inspiration from nature. This theme is very present at this toy. The upper third of the shaft is textured with dozens of lilac blossoms next to each other. It is slightly curving inwards towards the tip of the toy until it ends in a small cluster of tiny closed buds. The rest of the shaft is textured with the relief of wide leaves wrapping around the straight shaft. At the bottom the shaft it steeply tapers into a base about twice the diameter of the toy. So there is not chance of accidentally taking it fully. Sticking with the nature theme, the base is textured with different flowers blossoms and butterflies.

The Upward Bending Tiü of Lilac Experience

The highly textured tip is made for intense stimulations yet slow play. The cluster of cups in shape of the calyxes create tiny sucking vacuums and flexible blossom borders massage the surface. Slowly moving the toy, applying pressure and twisting it gently gives the texture the time to grip and release which creates the strongest feelings. Using the toy rapidly will give you the feeling of a slightly coarse yet even surface. The effect comes out the strongest at nerve-end rich body regions like the anus lips and prostate. According to my FtM testees, the upward curvature makes this toy especially good for targeting the g-spot when fucking. They also gave the tip good grades for clitoral stimulation.

The Shallow Texture of the Leaves Around Lilac’s Shaft

The texture of the shaft is almost unnoticeable, especially when riding it. If you really focus on them while turning the toy in the hole(s), you can feel the lateral edges but they are too many, too shallow and too random to create a flow experience like when two big vein or ventral grooves cover a shaft.

At first I considered the flowers around the base just a nice design element. But they are actually useful. The Lilac is a toy which requires very precise steering. The added texture of the florals adds a good amount of grip to the otherwise smooth and round base.

The Lilac Experience has an insertable length of about 20.5cm and a max diameter of 4.5cm, costs 79.99€ and is exclusively available at Fruity Bee Toys website. In addition to it, there is also the Lilac Sensation for 49.99€which is both smaller and shorter. Its tip also does not have the curvature. If you own this toy or have played with it, please let me know how it feels!

Shroomy’s Lightly Texture Head

Playing with the Shroomy

Like on the Lilac you can immediately tell nature’s inspiration for the Shroomy. The tip is softly tapering a double-cone, much like on a mushroom. The upper conies texture with shallow and flat dots, three-dimensional recreating the pattern of a fly agaric (plus one heart shaped one I guess for cuteness). Starting downwards from the apex and going over a spherical thickening in the middle of the shaft are lateral lamellae like you would find in the underside of a mushroom. Below the central bulge the shaft slightly widens and is texture with faint twines. The flat round base is yet again textured with blossoms.

While the Lilac is a toy that plays with subtlety, the Shroomy is blunt: It is made for pressure stimulation, either on the prostate of the g-spot. The cone shape allows to grind and attack these sensitive areas precisely. One of my bi testees called the toy a “bottle opener” since handled correctly, it makes prostate fluids flow and front holes squirts. While the shallow dots on the top are a nice design feature, you do not really feel them. If you are not that stretched, the added friction makes taking the toy actually a bit more difficult. So the Shroomy is not a width training plug but made for welcoming and accommodating holes.

The Texture of Shroomy’s Shaft

The lamellae are also a nice visual touch. But when you are so tight, you can still noticeable feel them, taking the head will probably be a challenge. Same accounts for the bulge in the middle: Nice indicator how deep you have already taken the toy. But if it gives you a noticeable stretch sensation of helps to keep the toy locked deep inside you during longterm, taking the head out will be busting.

When playing with the Shroomy, you have to be a bit careful not to get too greedy because the base is only slightly smaller than the head diameter. Since the Shroomy is designed to put pressure on sensitive areas, I would have wished for a more ergonomic (= elongated) base. The base is small enough to fit comfortably between your cheeks or thighs for long term wear but an ergonomic base would be even more comfortable.

The Shroomy comes in two sizes which both have an insertable length of 12.5cm: The Destroying Angle with head diameter of 4.8cm at 39.99€ and the Death Cap measuring 4cm in diameter at 29.99€.

Vendor: SquarePeg

Almost 30 years ago, SquarePeg was the first ever company to manufacture anal toys for the kink market out of platinum silicone. Scott, the founder of SquarePeg is a trained woodworker and sculptor. His profession in combination with being an avid anal aficionado and through this interested in rectal anatomy led to a very special approach in toy design: Each toy is carefully designed with a special purpose and stimulation inside the anus, rectum, sigmoid and colon in mind. So while his toys are not the biggest or the most complex, they are the easiest to handle and control ones that deliver targeted stimulations which can quickly drive you to ecstasy (or anal orgasms).

The SqaurePeg Slim Longneck, Slink Tickler & Depth Probe v4.0

Before I dive into the review of these three depth toys, a quick shortcut for all who want to start out with depth play: These are not beginner’s toys! If you want to explore depth, buy a SquarePeg Thick Worm. In my opinion the best toy to slowly stretch and desensitize your second sphincter and sigmoid. If you already have a bit of depth experience or are curious about the what toys will await you in your journey deep down, welcome to this review!

Construction

Back in 1997, Scott decided to make toys out of platinum silicone not only it was the easiest material to handle for small edition but also for its material properties. Back then, rubber and vinyl toys which then almost all emitted dangerous plasticizers (those old enough can still remember the distinct sex store smell) were the standard. Using a 100% body safe material like platinum silicone (and still one of the few companies only using US made raw materials) was revolutionary in the old millenium.

As someone how likes to play hard, the super-smooth surface which not only made taking the toy easier but also kept bacteria from lingering was an advantage. To clean silicone toys, simply throw it into warm soap water, sanitize and you are ready to use it on someone else, making it the perfect material for group settings.

The Differently Shaped Bases

The only drawback is, that silicone toys must not be used with silicone lube. The silicone lube will solvate the silicone, leading to a sticky surface and over time will disintegrate the toy. If you stick to water- or oil-based lubes you will be fine. Since platinum silicone is the material also used for medical purposes, a well kept toy will bring fun to your heirs….

Silicone can come in various firmness degrees but SquarePeg only offers two: Supersoft and Firm. For various reasons, they do not publish firmness degress but my best guess is that the Supersoft is somewhere between Shore 00-20 and 00-30, the firm more at 00-50. Beware: The thicker a toy is, the firmer and less flexible it will feel.

While silicone can easily take on color and thus is now popular with fantasy toy makers, SquarePeg (used) to have a simply color scheme: bronze and grey called graphite for Supersoft, black for firm. Now you can also get Supersoft in black. They puppy tails can be ordered in 13 colors and a small number of toys come in purple, but bronze, grey and black are the main and thus iconic colors for SP.

Playing the Depth Probe v4.0

The toy name is very telling. It is a toy to probe the depth of your colon. Back in June of 2018 I reviewed the first (?) depth probe. Frankly, I do not know where the v4.0 in the name comes from since I have not been aware of design changes. Maybe SP did two design experiments which never reached the market until the new one was released? But as far as I know, only these two version are available so don’t be confused by the name.

The Bend Pointy Tip of the new Depth Probe

The new depth probe starts out with a pointy, slightly inward curved tip. Below the tip is a 1mm drop. Then over the length of one inch it slightly increases in size until dropping again. This continues with continuously slightly decreasing diameter until you the bar-shaped bottom.

The only design element the new depth probe shares with his predecessor is the handle at the bottom. It is large enough to be comfortably accommodate four fingers and still allow for a good grip. That makes the toy easy to control.

On the old toy the tip was a dull, 5cm long thickening which “forced” its way through the colon. With the new design the pointy tip can slip into a tight opening. Since the tip is bend and tapers conically, you can slowly widen and relax the tight spots by turning the toy while moving it slightly back and forward. This is a huge improvement and makes going deep easier and way more enjoyable.

The previous model has a smooth shaft with depth markers in inch embossed into the shaft. The new segments have several impact into the experience. They at a slight bit of stability as there are not “weak-“ or bendspots every inch which makes the toy a bit less slippery. The texture also adds stimulation by slightly massaging the sphincters. On the other hand, the added texture and stimulation also makes taking the toy a bit more difficult while at the same time makes it a bit more difficult to push out. So making pauses in the process is a bit easier. Overall, my testees enjoyed the pointy tips way more as they were irritated by the texture. So I would call the new design a win.

The Head and Shaft of the New Compared with the Old Depth Probe

The Depth Probe v4.0 comes in three sizes: Slim short at 378mm length, a diameter tapering from 27mm at the tip to 25mm above the base and costing $79, medium with 521mm usable length, a taper from 37mm to 32mm at $129 and finally the slim ling with an enormous length of 1021mm and tapering from 34mm to 28mm for $189.

For my toy collection I chose the medium length for several reasons: The slim short is so short that I have slim dildos which are longer. For petite guys this might be a sensible size but every toy shorter than 400mm usable length is not a depth toy in my books. The slim long is so long it is hard to control to the degree of almost not being usable. Especially with lubey hands it flops around. The handling improved once about half the toy is inside the bottom – which is one medium depth probe length being quickly pushed into the bottom which is only possible with a very experience depth player. I once had the “pleasure” of playing with the slim long and being so long and slim, it gave me a bit of colonoscopy vibes once we passed the halfway point. When playing with such a long toy on a small bottom, you need to be careful not to cross from the large to the small intestine. This can lead to potentially lethal infections!

Head of the Slim Longneck (left) and Slink Tickler (right)

Playing with the Slink Tickler and Slim Longneck

Apparently, this is the review of curious product name choices. While I understand why one toy is called a a Longneck and for the other I can deduce why it is called a Slink, they are so similarly designed that I will review them together.

What I don’t understand is the name choice for the Slink Tickler! Back in 2020 I bought and reviewed a Slink textured with bumps all over the shaft from Regulation, called the Slink Tickler. This particular version of the Slink is not sold anymore so I guess the name is now free for a toy designed to tickle you deep down. But if you talk about the Slink Tickler low, make sure you and your conversation partner are meaning the same toy.

The „old“ Slink Tickler on fhe Left

Both toys start out with a drawn out pointy head that has a small kink where the steepness increases thus mimicking the shape of a hand ready to fist. On the Slim Longneck the 95mm long head is almost round measuring 42x45mm at its widest and the kink is on the upper this. At the top’s bottom of the head there is groove which I first thought was a dent the toy got during storage in my playroom. But the same dent was on the product pictures. Neither my testees now I could figure out what the groove was for as it was not noticeable. If you have felt it or figured out what it is for, let me know! On the Slink Tickler the head is 5mm longer and flatter at 32x42mm with the kink in the middle.

Below the head the shaft is round and smooth. It gently increases in size like on all Slinks. The Slink Tickler increased form 28mm to a max diameter of 57mm before quickly tapering towards 38mm and then flowing into the base. On the Slim Longneck the initial diameter below the head is 33mm. It gently tapers to about 40mm before just below the neck there is a plug-like increase in diameter to 55mm before quickly tapering to the necks 42mm.

The base of both toys is oval and tapering towards the neck. While it is not as easy to grip as on the Depth Probe, you still have a good level of control. A nifty design feature of the base is the point. It tells you where the tip is pointing towards, making navigating the toy a bit easier when pushing the toy into a bottom.

The Base of the two Slink Ticklers

The Slim Longneck is only available in firm black and costs $119. The Slink Tickler costs $169 and is also available in Supersoft Bronze and Graphite. After having played with the Supersoft versions, I went for the firm because they are so floppy and hard to control with lubey hands. Since the shaft of the Tickler is so thin, the material of both the head and the upper half of the shaft is still what I could consider soft and very bendy so going deep even around tight bends is easily possible.

If you want to go – to quote the Doors – deep and wide, SP also offers Longlong Neck with is REALLY long and thick!

This review was heavily requested in multiple ways. It has been over four years that I have reviewed a toy from Weredog and the company has come a long way ever since. Being based in the UK, they are a little bit more approachable than the big US makers for Europeans – at least in pre-Brexit times. So there is great interest in their toys. More generally, a lot of stretch fans are looking for the pop of knots without having to train the second sphincter. While only Dagger is marketed specifically as a plug by Weredog, in my opinion both fall into this category. So, before next Friday the prices will fall for Black Friday, let’s see how these two knotty fellows perform.

Construction

Weredog’s Duster & Dagger both in XL with their Silicone Cane for Size Comparison

For the fear of sounding like a broken record – there are always new people finding this website, so welcome! – all Weredog toys are being made out of platinum silicone. It is the best material for anal toys for three reasons:

  1. Safety: Platinum silicone is 100% body safe. Unlike other materials like rubber of vinyl, it does not emit plasticizers. Its surface is super smooth making it difficult for bacteria to linger.
  2. Handling: Cleaning and sanitizing is easy. Once a toy has been used, throw it into hot or warm soap water, let is soak for a bit, rub with a soft brush or cloth, rinse and spray a sanitizer on it. This makes silicone toy perfect group situation when you want to pass toys from one player to another. The smooth surface also makes taking the toy easier because there is less friction. One drawback has the material: Silicone toys should not be used with silicone lube! The silicone oil inside the lube will first make the surface sticky and then over time disintegrates the toy. So stick to water- or oil-based lubes if you want long term gliding.
  3. Manufacturing: To clear up a myth, high quality silicone toys are not easy to make. On a large scale, especially complex shaped and colored toys are way more difficult to mass manufacture than vinyl or rubber toys. But, silicone is the material which can recreate the finest details and takes on color the easiest. Because of this, it is the best material to turn horny fantasies into realities. Finally, silicone offers the greatest range of possible firmnesses. Currently, the trend for anal toys leans towards soft toys which Weredog follows. Their extra-soft is Shore 00-20 which is really squishy but be careful with creases. Soft equals Shore 00-30, a bit softer than the popular Topped Toys toy and still squishy / flexible. Their medium makes a big jump to Shore 00-50 which is firmer than Bad Dragon’s medium firmness which would convert to Shore 00-45. Finding the right firmness can be a bit tricky, especially when you are new to buying toys. For these toys, the choice is simple: Dagger is only cast in extra-soft and for ergonomic reasons I would recommend the same for Duster if you are not depth-savvy. One drawback of soft silicone is, that is attracts dust very easily – as you can see in my pictures. Washed the toys an hour before taking these pics and well… you see the result.

Duster’s Massive Dull Knot

Both toys come in sizes from Small to XXL. While Dagger starts out at an almost sensible 12.9cm knot circumference – especially considering the material softness, Duster means business at 16.51cm circumference. Dagger taps out at an already big 32.5cm cirmcumference at 26.9cm usable length, Duster reaches an enourmous 37,5cm circ at the same length but 22.6cm head circumference. And here lies the potential ergonomic issue I was referring to when talking about the softness. While Dagger and to some extend Duster are designed to focus the stretch only on the anus, their length of course scales with the diameter. In super-soft this issue is somewhat mitigated by bending and filling the rectum instead of going deeper. But you have to be aware that you at least need capacity training for your rectum if you want to take these big boys. If you buy Duster in soft or even medium, he will bust you second hole open!

Playing with Duster & Dagger

While we are on the topic, let’s start with Duster. His gland is clearly inspired by canine penises but taken to the extremes. The sometimes protruding urethras has been drawn out to a dull cone sitting on top of a plateau split in there sections. The “shaft” has two section. First it is textured with on top and on the sides with wide slightly bulging strains. On the bottoms runs a shallow smooth strain which could be called a ventral groove. The second, shorter part is a straight resting point before the  main event: The knot.

Duster’s Dull Glans and Pre-Knot Shaft

Three massive bulges covering almost the entire shaft except a small ventral groove at the bottom massively extend the diameter! Their tops are flat for maximum knotting experience. With a shaft to knot ratio from over 1:2, Duster has one of the largest diameter increase I have ever felt. The bulges are almost circular so the knotting is intense. Once the apex has been reached, the knot gets sucked into the rectum – if there is enough space next to the shaft. The knot is very slightly textured with shallow veins. But to be frank, they are an optic feature but unnoticeable which is good. Added friction would make this toys almost impossible to take.

Small anatomic technicality: On Weredogs website Duster is marketed as a anthro dog so I guess some design liberties are ok. But from my limited animal knowledge, Duster is more of a fox with three knot bulges. If you like maximum stretch or look for a yiffy experience, go for Dagger. If you look for a really dogging, buy one of the many toys which only has two knot spheres.

Below the knot is a short shaft for resting your strained hole. The base is round, a bit larger than then maximum diameter of the knot and slightly textured with fur texture. A nice detail is a gold colored piercing ring molded into the base. Sadly, Weredog does not suction cups for their toys.

The Golden Piercing in Duster’s Round Base

This makes Duster a bit hard to judge. On the one hand, it is a great toy for experienced players who look for the extreme. The urethra is only for aiming and anchoring the toy, not for opening up the anus. This body part needs to be pre-stretched to open up for the literally flat glans, especially when you buy the toy in a extra-soft. Otherwise instead of forcing the anus open, the toy will be pressed flat. Being loose and open is also the motto for the knot. The pre-knot on the upper shaft part does little for preparing and opening up. Duster’s knot is one of the most extreme I know. The spheres bulge so far outwards, their their apex way outside the shaft. So your anus is fighting an up-curvature battle when opening up. Once the squishy knot pops through the sphincter you are FULL! The addition of the humongous knot to the already mass-rich shaft creates an almost unique volume. Deknotting is an equally intense sensation. The fullness and intense stretch triggers the pushing out reflex intensely so it happens more quickly and maybe a bit more uncontrolled as some might want to. Once the knot (and most likely the shaft) is expelled, there is a sudden and intense feeling of emptiness which is a harsh contrast to the way you felt a few minutes before. Some bottoms are overwhelmed by this, some NEED to be filled again.

Dagger’s Softer Glans

But unleashing the potential without a suction cup is a bit difficult. Especially when playing with the large amount of lubes such a big toy demands, the base easily slides away. This is really an issue when you try to take the knot and adjust your posture to find the position of least resistance. When deknotting, it happened more than once that the bottom unintentionally shot the toy through the playroom. For partner play to base offers too little points where to hold it securely, especially with lubey hands. Twisting it to find that sweet spot of entrance and pressure is almost impossible. Especially the larger Dusters would really benefit from a vac-u-lock hole or at least a suction cup.

Dagger is a different story and truly a plug with all the features – just with a K9 twist. The top is again inspired by a dog’s glans with a pointy tip and dullish plateau. All the lines are flowing and rounded, far from Duster’s almost brutal design. The glans rim is a slight bulge running around the top. Considering the softness of the material, you really have to focus to notice it.

The Knot and Ventral Groove of Dagger

The slightly bulging shaft is smooth except a shallow and rounded ventral groove. After about half the insertable length the knot bulges out of the shaft. It is formed by two slightly elongated half spheres smoothly flowing out of the shaft. While Duster wants to create maximal resistance between the knot and the sphincter, Dagger somewhat tries to seduce the sphincter to open up. But it cannot hide that it is a sudden and steep increase in diameter so you will definitively notice it compared to a smooth plug. The way of least resistance is to push the knot in perpendicular to the ass. For maximum deknotting experience, twist it inside the bottom’s ass and pull it out. Like on every butt plug the is a long neck which smoothly flows into the base. The base is short and wide, yet it fits perfectly between the ass cheeks.

Like Duster, the length scaling with width will inevitably make Dagger a bit of a depth toy when knotting the larger versions. The shaft bends easily so if you have a bit of rectum volume experience that should not be an issue. You also do not feel as full as with Duster’s big volume. Surprisingly, my testees found Dagger quite comfortable to wear over extended periods of time. Due to the ergonomics you will not manage almost days like with classical stretching plugs but longer than with other space filling toys like the SP Acorn.

The Relatively Thin and Small Base of Dagger

For high intensity play, the base is not ideal. Compared to other plugs, it is thin and due to being super-soft extremely floppy, making it hard to grab, pull out and even push because it is hard to exert force precisely, especially with lubey hands. (Vigorous) knot fucking is almost impossible because it is so hard to grab the base. I would had wished for upwards bent fins at the end (like on an SP Egg, Organotoy Sit-Plug or Friendy Toys Snuckle) and most of all, the option for a split-firmness. Just getting the base in Shore 00-50 would drastically improve ergonomics.

Where to buy?

While Weredog has some retailers in the UK, the best way to order a customizable toy is through the manufacturer’s website. Especially with Duster, be sure you get the right firmness and not one the store’s purchases selected for you. Also, with orders from the website, you can get gorgeous limited edition colorations like the sky metro camouflage on my Dagger.

Vendor: Friendly Toy

About 1½ years ago Friendly Toys from Canada entered the scene and I have quickly gotten review requests for their purpose driven designed toys. So I was lucky that they attended Dore Alley where I could get myself both the Wonder and the Snuckle. While I have gotten more review requests for the Wonder, I am starting with the Snuckle because you need toys to train your hole in order to take the Big Boys I am usually reviewing.

Construction

Snuckle is a training plug which is designed to help open the sphincter up to a fist. Unlike other butt plugs which try to open up the sphincter as evenly and gently as possible, Snuckle imitates the anatomy of a folded hand. The dullish, slightly slanted tip tapers steeply on the bottom and more softly and slightly curved inwards towards the maximum apex. This unusual curvature mimics the way the fingers bend and creates a slight ridges like knuckles on a hand. Below the apex, the slope degree changes with the top being steep and the bottom shallow, mimicking the decrease in diameter towards wrist. This is actually a quite ingenious design because the when your anus is trained to a different steepness when pushing in and pulling out thus maximizing the trainings effect. The wrist neck is short yet wide enough for the sphincter comfortably close around it without any stretch. The base is thick and wide for both a good grip during selfplay and to prevent the base form accidentally slipping in.

The Friendly Toys Snuckle

All Friendly Toys are made out of platinum silicone making them 100% body safe and easy to clean. Its super smooth surface facilitates easy insertion – if you stick to water or oil based lubes. Sadly, the silicone oil in silicone lube disintegrates the surface of silicone toys, making them sticky and destroying them over time. So stay away from silicone lube when playing with silicone toys. After play, silicone can be cleaned easily by letting the toy soak in warm soap water, let dry and finally spray sanitizer on the toy.

Besides the health and handling advantage, silicone can easily be colored. At the moment, Friendly Toys offers only solid colors and no patterns like marbles or fades. You can choose between a hot pink, bright orange, slightly greenish yellow, purplish blue, deep teal and classic black. While platinum silicone can come in various firmness degrees, Friendly Toy only uses Shore 00-30 which is quite soft.

Snuckle’s Dull Tip

While Snuckle comes in a wide range of sizes, the toy is clearly targeted at more ambitious players. The smallest size is 18cm circumference  which is thicker than a generous dick. The range ends at a big 34cm circumference where despite being made out of a very soft material, you are starting to enter double small fist territory.

Playing with Snuckle

Snuckles is what I call a purpose designed toy. It has little frills (more about that below) and has been designed with one task in mind: Imitating the rough shape of a hand getting ready to penetrate the sphincter for a full fisting. It excels all other toys in this. From the dullish tip which feels like fingers pressed together to minimizes the footprint over the gradual increase until the ridge which feels like the knuckles to the steep decrease on the neck which emulates the wrist. The entire toy feels very close to a hand without the ruggedness a realistic hand cast often has. So it is perfect for getting accustomed to, training and stretching – if it wasn’t for the firmness.

Widde Base which makes Snuckle Easy to Hold

What is “the” best firmness for a toy and especially a trainings plug is an almost religious discussion. Many people prefer as soft as possible which Friendly Toy definitively is. Being one of the softest in the market, it is even softer than their local rivals from Topped Toys which use Shore 00-33 silicone. Softness means gentle opening up and easy slipping through. Generally there is less struggle going in and out. My softness loving testees celebrated the squishiness and really enjoyed the quick popping in when the sphincter gave in to the toy and the gently dragging pull when being pulled out. But softness also increases the chance of skin folds getting caught causing unintended and unpleasant pinching. And while soft toys gently pushes open, the contrast to a rather firm hand is quite intense. I used to say that when you can take a plug with 7cm diameter, you were ready for a fist. This rule of thumb does not apply for such soft toys! Another disadvantage is that when you are not relaxed or did enough pre-stretching, the tip can flatten against the sphincter, making entry even more difficult.

The softness also gives away a bit of possible frills. The dull tip and ridge would have made the Snuckle a great toy for targeted prostate stimulation. But it is hard to really apply intense pressure with the soft toy. You can definitively feel something but it is not as intense as with firmer toys.

The Ridge Which Mimics the Knuckles of the Wirst

However, the base is highly functional. It is ergonomically shaped so it fits well between the cheeks when keeping in the plug for an extended period of time. The front tip is a bit thinner, longer and pointed for external prostate pressure massage. Yet it is too soft to have a noticeable effect when grinding the plug on the taint. The back tip is wider and shorter to close off on the buttocks perfectly. The base is large enough for a secure grip for selfplay. When your hands are lubey the soft tips can easily slip away so be careful when you yank with full force.  Due to the soft material Snuckle is actually one of the plugs you can wear the longest because your rear muscles will simply push the soft material into the right space.

Where to buy?

The Snuckle, like all Friendly Toys, are sold directly through their website. The toy starts out at at a very inexpensive 36.95€ for the smallest Snuckle 22 with 18cm circumference and goes up to 155.95€ for the BIG Snuckle 42. Friendly Toys vends at different events where they sell “flops”, marble colored toys which are made when switching from one silicone color to another at a discounted prices. So if you want something more colorful or unique, check them out!

Pig-Hole Super-Max & Colossus

The Oxballs Colossus & Super-Max

Vendor: Oxballs

The Oxballs Pig-Hole is the most popular single toy on here. No reviews gets more clicks or traffic from search engines, no toy is the topic of more reader questions. Every time Oxballs just hints on social media that a new Pig-Hole is in the works, I get dozens of DMs if I already know more or have played with a prototype. Since I live about 9,500km away from the Oxballs HQ, I am sadly not part of that elite beta test circle. But I try to get my hands on the new toys as soon as possible and get you an educated opinion which proved a bit more challenging than the previous toys. But I am getting ahead of myself.

Construction

Even the new sizes follow the general design of the original toy. The opening at the top is a bit slanted with a tip for easier insertion. From the opening the body extends to a wide barrel shape and later tapers to a small neck until flowing into a base. The base has the same shape of the one of the Pig-Hole FF with recesses in the middle for better fitting between the cheeks.

The measurements of the toys are insanely huge:

Opening Barrel Neck Base Footprint
Super-Max 85x80mm 116x 112mm 78x73mm 128x112mm
Colossus 97x95mm 137x130mm 92x90mm 150x115mm

The Pig-Hol Colossus is so big, the Original Pig-Hole #5 Almost fits inside it with Ease

Both sizes are only cast in Oxballs’ softer Morph silicone which in theory makes handling and the taking of the toy easier. In order to keep it stable, even when the muscles try to push it out, all Pig-Holes have lateral ridges inside the barrel for added stability. But on these big boys the ridges inside the barrel scaled with the size. The massive increase in width and height makes them way more rigid. So even when your rectum contracts and wants to expel the BIG foreign object, the barrel will not compress, locking it in place. This of course makes also the insertion more difficult.  Especially the Colossus is almost impossible to fold even with dry hands. As soon you add lube, this becomes a slapstick act instead of a sexy process.

For the first time with Pig-Holes, both the Super-Max and the Colossus come in different colors: Plain black and blue have been standard colors for the toy range. But for the new sizes they have added the option to have a black base and neck and a barrel in either pink, yellow, purple, green or red. Since both colors of the platinum silicone are cast in following each other, the color sometimes creates a little marble effect on the base.

The Accidental Marble inside the Black Base

Playing with the Pig-Hole Super-Max & Colossus

I have a hard time calling these objects “toys” rather than novelty items. In my extended circle of greedy anal sluts who make up my testee panel I found one guy who could take the Super-Max after massive pre-stretching. This is mainly due to when folding the toy to insert it, your create a blunt and jagged surface of 60x50mm in the best case. But when you have lube on the toy and on your hands, you never reach that level of compression. So you basically try to push a soda can with an uneven top into your anus. Once inside, the Super-Max inflates quickly due to the stronger ridges. But having it inside is not the most comfortable thing because most rectums are smaller than the barrel. So instead of a comfortable filled feeling and forced openness, there is an uncomfortable feeling of fullness and pressure in your lower abdomen.

The good thing is, the lower opening is now so wide that a medium sized hand can push through without having to fight the material strength – if the anus does not compress the neck. With former Pig-Holes, you could use to toy to increase the size of knots and plugs. But except the largest toys (think SquarePeg Monster Egg or Bad Dragon Rex XL), the inside of the Super-Max is actually larger than the toy. Pushing such big toys in is actually a challenge because the ridges make the barrel so stiff, it takes a lot of force to expend.

A Steak of Bright Green in the Base of Pig-Hole Colossus

Pulling the toy out feels more uncomfortable than a hard de-knotting. With the ridges inside prying the anus open from the inside, you have to pull until the muscle gives in and releases the toy. The Super-Max should not stay inside the rectum for too long. Because once the lube has been absorbed, getting it out is even more difficult.

So much about the Super-Max. Now let’s look at the Colossus. If you can get it to fold and stay folded – which is impossible once lube has been applied – the top has a footprint of 70x65mm and only gets bigger from there on. Since the barrel is so long, the strong ridges inside the barrel forces it to expend at the top while you are still pushing the toy through the sphincter – if you can find a bottom to accommodate it. The barrel is so absurdly large, that it is larger than even the most cavernous rectum. So I cannot imagine it being comfortable if you can get it somehow in. How to get it out is probably a different question. But these are all hypotheticals. I have not found a testee who could take the Colossus.

The Ridges inside the Barrel of the Pig-Hole Colossus for Added Stability and Ridgidity

That both toys and especially the Colossus are novelty toys, also shows in its presence on social media and in retail. Usually, when a new Pig-Hole gets released, greedy bottoms rush to the shops to buy it and proudly display their gaping hole stuffed with a silicone tunnel plug. For the Colossus, I could only find a handful of media of the toy in use and for the Super-Max only slightly more. This might be partly due to not many stores selling it. Both new sizes are for such a niche audience that the risk of not selling it is probably too high.

After having played with the Super-Max a couple of times, I also wonder who would need it. Yes, there are a few fistees who have blown out their anus so much that they need a massive barrel to keep the toy from falling out. But these are only a few ones. For most other fistees the Pig-Hole FF or if that is too small the more textured Pig-Hole Popper Jumbo are easier to handle and offer the same play qualities.

As a novelty item in popping colors which intimidates newbies and makes seasoned players chuckle, the Colossus is a fun item. If you play with really greedy and loose holes, having the Super-Max ready when you need to challenge an over self-confident is also fun. But to be frank, for the price you pay, rather get the Pig-Hole FF and the Pig-Hole Popper Jumbo. In 99% of the cases you will get more and easier fun out of them. Because in the end, when a toy is too difficult to handle and too rarely used, you will put it out of sight and use it even less. Unless you present it as a decoration which I am doing with my Colossus.

Where to buy?

Both Pig-Holes can be ordered directly from Oxballs. The Super-Max costs $238 and the Colossus $298.

Vendor: Bad Dragon

No Anal Toy special would be complete without a review of one of the oldest silicone fantasy toy makers, Bad Dragon. Over the past decade I have reviewed over three dozens of their toys but your thirst (through reader questions) for me never seems to be quenched. So because of this I might sound like a broken record in the construction section. If you have experience with the brand (or silicone toys in general), go straight to the juicy stuff below where I talk about the toys themselves. And yes, after years of asking, I am FINALLY reviewing a tentacle toy for you!

Construction

The Bad Dragon Deuce, Ika & Kragg

Bad Dragon was the first toy maker who only made silicone toys which I reviewed. At first I was a bit skeptical because the toys were considerably more expensive than rubber and vinyl toys and softer (back then I preferred firm toys for various reasons). Over the years and through more reviews of Bad Dragon (and later other silicone anal toys), I educated myself and fell in love with the material and have since replaced all my other toys with silicone ones.

First of all, platinum silicone is 100% body safe. There are not dangerous plasticizers that can emit, leak or wash out with water-based lube and get absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the thirsty rectum mucosa. This if of course only true if – like Bad Dragon does – only body safe colors are being used! In the past year, I have been getting a lot of reader questions about various East Asian dildo makers and their platinum silicone toys. While they use platinum silicone like western dildo makers, some are using colors and dyes which are not body safe and potentially poisonous and hazardous! While it might be tempting to by an inexpensive toy off Amazon, I personally stick to brands which must comply with western product safety standards. Besides that, I have yet to see a true original design from these makers instead of a random best-of combination of shapes and textures from Bad Dragon, Weredog and other anthro toy makers. So I support the makers who are genuinely creative, support local events and the community instead of feeding some off scene drop shipping business who is just interested in our money.

The Two Thick Veins which Texture the Lower Part of Deuce

Speaking of colors, platinum silicone is the best material which can take on colors. And when it comes coloration, Bad Dragon is the industry leader for colorations, patterns and designs. Over the years they have release (seasonal) limited editions, party using UV active and glow in the dark colors. Some other makers have started to catch u, like Weredog in which Bad Dragon holds a stake. But when it comes to creativity and execution, Bad Dragon is still king. To help you find the right coloration for you, Bad Dragon has a 3D configurator on their website which has also a sizing tool.

More important than the color is the firmness of your toy because it determines how easily the toy pops through the sphincter and how intensely the texture is felt. Bad Dragon offers four firmnesses now which are Extra-Soft (Shore 00-50), Soft (Shore A2), Medium (Shore A5) and Firm (Shore A8 which is still relatively soft). The larger a toy, the firmer it will feel because there is more mass to compress. Harder firmnesses will also make texture feel more rugged. High textures likes spikes or ridges that massage in soft firmness can actually start to feel scratchy (but will never actually scratch because the material is too soft). It will also make the toy harder to take because the more complex and rigid the surface, the harder it will be for the hole to relax and open up. If you want to ride your toy, choosing a firm base with a soft or medium shaft is always a good idea because it will give the toy a better stand.

The Heavy Texture at the Bottom of Kragg’s Shaft

The final decision when ordering your toys is deciding which additional features you want to add to your toy. The suction cup is probably the most often chosen one as it gives the toy an even better stand than a firm base. The cup is really deep and uses the entire surface of the base so it can create a heavy duty vacuum. If you like to play in your bathroom, the suction cup is almost a must-have because it allows you to fix the dildo onto the floor or a tiled wall. Last year Bad Dragon introduced their version of a Vac-U-Lock hole, the Dragon Mount. This opened Bad Dragon toys to a world of accessories from grips over external suction cups to fuck machines. However most fuck machines cannot handle the weight and length of massive XL silicone toys. When you are playing with a partner, the hole can also be an anchor point for your thumb for better guiding the toy into his anus. Sadly the suction cup is incompatible with their Dragon Mount Vac-U-Lock hole so it is hard to recommend which one to get. Usually, I always recommend to get the hole because it opens the world to such versatile play. But historically I have been getting most Bad Dragons with a suction cup and never missed the Dragon Mount hole on my newer toys where I could have gotten it instead of the suction cup. Maybe this is a good piece of advice: When you order smaller toys and have a fuck machine, go for the Dragon Mount. For XL toys, the suction cup is the better option because it will keep your toy from sliding away when knotting HARD. The finally add-on is the cum tube.

Deuce Dull Glans with Big Glans Drop

Silicone has also a super-smooth surface which has various advantages: It makes it difficult for bacteria to linger and easy to clean. Simply throw the toy into hot soap water, rub the lube off and spray sanitizer on it afterwards. It also makes the toy glide in a bit easier than the a bit porous surface of vinyl and rubber. Of course you still need lube for the toy to slide in with ease. When you play with silicone toys, you have to stick ti water- or oil-based lubes. The silicone oil inside silicone lube solvates silicone, makes the surface sticky and will disintegrate the toy over time. Silicone is a very sturdy material. When you take good care of your toys, clean and dry them thoroughly, not use silicone lube, store them apart from other toys emitting plasticizers which just being an agent in the air can damage your other toys, they will last you a lifetime.

Playing with Deuce

The first thing you notice when looking at Deuce is the MASSIVE glans. It sits like a slightly domed rivet at the top of the shaft. Lines of shallow bumps and lateral ridges converging to the hinted urethra texture its surface. The slops on the side are almost vertical and carve slightly in. This tip does not gradually open up your sphincter but really FORCES itself in. Once it opens the anus, it POPS and locks in place almost violently. In order to take and even more enjoy Deuce, you should be really relaxed and pre-stretched.

The shaft bends slightly forwards and tapers a bit towards the bottom. The front and the back are textured with shallow snakeskin like scales. The sides have a bit more intense texture with overlapping shell plates. On the top third there bump pairs on top of the shells. In the lower third, the shell cluster splits into two thick strains, giving section above the base deep, a bit jugged texture.

The Overlapping Shells with Bumps and the Snake Scale Texture on Deuce’s Shaft

The base itself is round and has only a slightly larger footprint than the shaft’s diameter. Especially in combination with a suction cup, it is large and sturdy enough for a secure fit even when riding it hard. If you can manage to take it deeper because that dull glans is not really made for softly opening up the second sphincter and going around the bends of your colon.

The slight, yet noticeable texture makes for a light stimulation of the anus. Especially turning the upper third with the bumps inside the anus is a nice feeling. The contrast of only light scales and higher bumps feels like a wave of sensations moving through the body. However, to really enjoy the toy, you need a big rectum. Otherwise the big glans bumps against the walls which can feel uncomfortable. Because of this, most of my testees used Deuce as a prostate milking toy. The big, flat tip is good for applying pressure onto it and the big glans drop gives you good leverage when brushing over it. But this probably works better with a firm large or even medium sized one than a soft XL like I have gotten, partly because the small sizes are of course lighter and easier to handle. I can only recommend the XL to the most trained and greediest holes if you really want to use it fully!

Kragg’s Perpendicular Glans

Playing with Kragg

Unlike its predecessor Kragg’s tip is pointy and steeply tapering – at least for the first two centimeters because the glans sits perpendicularly to the shaft. While this tip is good for locking the toy inside the sphincter and then riding downwards, this toy VERY quickly expands in size.

The bulging glans rim is textured with small bumps. The overall shape of the glans can be described as arrow head. From the pointy tip, it expands towards the bottom where it has a w-shaped recess which has a microtexture of small bumps.

From the tip of a glans runs a thin and short strain towards the bottom side of the shaft. There is gets bigger and textured by perpendicular tall half-circle ridges which themselves have a small bump microtexture. Left and right of this mean ventral groove run also microtextured tall half-dome bumps.

The Big Suction Cup which Coveres the entire Base of Kragg for Example

While the bottom and sides of Kragg are wild and heavily textured, the top is relatively tame. There are a few thin perpendicular lines of shallow bumps which divide the pockmarked surface. But otherwise, your hole can focus on the top.

The base is massive, almost three times the space of the shaft! It is heavy textured with raised folds covered with bumps. So even when you struggle with taking Kragg and have to apply a large (yet safe and sensitive!) amount of pressure, it will not slip. In the hands of a top, the big base makes handling the toy a bit difficult, so I lean towards recommending it for self play. Or getting it with the Dragon Mount and using a Vac-u-Lock handle.

The Slight, Only Pockmared Surface of Kragg’s Bottom

Like Deuce, Kragg is a pro’s toy! The abrupt increase in size again requires a loose and relaxed hole. This gets even more challenging when the texture starts. Each ridge pops through the sphincter, increasing the change for it to tense up. Once your hole has accustomed itself to the heavy texture and relaxed, riding Kragg is hot and horny! The ridges giving the prostate a brush massage is a bit like edging. Not enough pressure to give you a prostate orgasm, but definitively intense enough for getting horny and worked up – all while the bumps massage your anus.

The shaft is slightly bending backwards which should make taking the toy deep more easily. But due to the rapid increase in diameter and heavy texture, you really need to be depth savvy and well trained for your second sphincter not to clench right away.

Since the texture is so deep and narrow, Kragg is not really made for turning inside the hole. The texture and get jacked inside the anus. When you are a real anal masochist, give it a try. But otherwise, stick to riding Kragg.

Ika’s Thin Tip for easy Entry both through the First and Second Sphincter

Playing with Ika

Having safe the best for last, FINALLY, after many reader questions, a tentacle toy review. The overall design of Ika is simple yet elegant. The overall shape of the body follows slightly an S: The thin tip curves forward. While gradually increasing in diameter the body bends forwards and at the bottom bulges backwards.

The top half of the back is untextured, the bulging bottom features small dents. As the name implies, the top is textured with a parallel line of sucker cups which gradually increase in diameter as you move down the shaft. For added texture, the sucker cups sit on wide and softly raising lateral bulges which run around ¾ of the shaft.

Like on Deuce, the base is only slightly larger than the shaft, making the toy both good to handle inside a top’s hands and providing a sturdy stand when riding it.

The Parallel Lines of Sucker Cups and Bumps Texturing Ika’s Shaft

Ika is readlly a beginners toy who wants to explore the different aspects of anthro toys. The thin tip taking the toy easy, both through the anus and the second sphincter. Of course, it takes a bit of getting used to sucker cups. As they natural counter parts, they sometimes create a vacuum and especially down the shaft when they get larger, their flappy rims can facilitate a stutter movement.

The S-shape and thin tip can also be a gateway through the second sphincter though I recommend some pre-stretching and desensitizing with less bendy toys. Otherwise, the easily bendable tip will press in vain against the clenching sphincter. Once it goes through bit the shape and very gradual increase in diameter starts training the depth of your colon. Again, progress slowly with loads of lube because the sucker cups can have the same effect than on your anus. Just that this body area is even more sensitive.

The Bottom of Ika’s Shaft textured Small Dents

Over time, you should be able to take about half of the body through your second hole. If you have managed that, the big bulging bottom is stretching your anus quite a lot. This combination is actually useful for training to knot K9 toys. In order to take Ika completely, you need to handle the intense stimulation inside the colon while your anus is getting stretched to the max, a roughly similar yet still completely different feeling when taking a knot.

Where to buy?

While Bad Dragon has some retailers now, like Mr S in San Francisco or Gear in Berlin, I highly recommend ordering from Bad Dragon’s own website. The retails naturally only have ready-made toys. If you invest so much money into a toy, it should really  fit your demands and desires both in looks and features. So I recommend customizing and ordering the toys from their website like I do.

Vendor: Mr Hankey’s Toys

As Locktober is progressing, I notice a significant uptick in clicks and searches for anal toys here. It seems, while the dick is locked away, desperate bottoms are looking for other gateways to pleasure and (re-)discovering their hole. Because of this, I am kicking off this year’s Anal Toy Special with a review of what most locked boys are looking for: A realistic dildo to quench their hole’s thirst. And for that I review three LONG dongs from one of the two best makers for realistic dildos currently in the market, Mr Hankey’s Toys from sunny SoCal.

Construction

The Mr Hankey’s Toys Jack Hunter XL, Thaigo XL & Largo

Like all toys I will review in this special, these three realistic dildos are made out of pure platinum silicone. Unlike vinyl or rubber which sadly still often contains harmful plasticizers, platinum silicone is 100% body safe. It super-smooth surface makes not only riding the toy easier but also makes it more difficult for bacteria to linger. Since the material is highly resistant towards acids and heat, it can be easily cleaned. I usually take a hot bath with my toys, brush shower the toys afterwards, let them dry, spray a sanitizer on them and store them away. Or, if you are lazy, put them in your dishwasher. Speaking of cleaning, sadly silicone is always a bit sticky. As you can see from my pictures, it attracts dust, lint or loose wall paint particles very quickly. If you wash them before a scene, let them dry in the open, don’t rub them dry with towels. Otherwise they will have a little pelt from fluff again. Since I did not have time for depth play the last couple of weeks, they are a bit dusty in the pics so you get the real, authentic deal.

In order to enjoy your toys for a long time, only use them with oil or water-based lubes. The silicone oil in silicone lube solvates silicone and makes it sticky. The plasticizers emitting from rubber and vinyl toys has the same effect. So only store them in a different place. Or better, only have silicone toys in your playspace.

Thick Bases for a Sturdy Stand – if there isn’t a Pedestal like Thaigo has in the Top Left

Besides just being an awesome material for your body and hole, it is also the material which allows for the greatest degree of customization. Silicone comes in a wide range of firmnesses. Standard without surcharge Mr Hankey’s Toys offers two firmness degrees. The firmer one is “Medium”. Being about the firmness of a fully hard penis it is my recommended degree for texture lovers like me. If you want to ride a realistic dildo HARD or use it on a fuck machine, go for medium – if the dildo is not too long. For depth toys, especially when you are not experienced with taking dildos deep, I recommend the softer “75%”. Being softer, the toy goes more easily around the bends in your colon and reduces the risk of injuries. However, since the toy is softer, it bends more easily, making longer toys a bit more difficult to control and to ride. For really long toys, I recommend an additional trusted operator. This way, you can relax completely which makes taking a toy deep considerably easier. In addition to the two standard firmness degrees for $15.95. 40% is really soft and floppy. Personally, I found it too soft to properly work as a toy. A FtM friend said it would be a perfect semi-hard packer (there is also an extra soft packer firmness for $15.95 you have to select as an extra item). But please be extra sure what you are getting yourself when you choose this firmness. Extra Firm on the other hand is like the name implies firmer which makes texture extremely noticeable. On the nice side, it is a good firmness for prostate milking. In this firmness you can really apply pressure into the prostate. On the (delightfully) mean side, it is good for rapey play and prying your sphincter open.

Jack Hunter’s Credetials Embossed in the Bottom of the Shaft. Below in the Base is the Vac-U-Lpck Hole

Silicone is also THE best material to take on coloring. It creates vibrant colors which can either fade into each other or create patters like the marble in the toys I have. Special effects like UV active which glow under black or blue light which are common in playrooms, metallic or glow in the dark which continue to shine when the light goes off are also possible. You can order the toys in some basic colors without surcharges, some cost a premium of $29.95. Metallic effects adds another small $5.95 and a two color marble will cost $39.95.

While custom firmness and colors are a nice option, I highly recommend getting the toys equipped with a Vac-U-Lock hole for just $4.95. Originally designed to attach the toy to fuck machines, there are a number of nifty accessories out there for this kind of system: Handles, Strap-On harnesses, suction cups and double-dildo connectors. If you play with a partner, he can also put his finger inside the hole to guide the toy.

Thaigo’s Tapering Glans

Thaigo

For this review, I start out with the most gentle of the designs. Thaigo’s glans is slightly pointed so you can lock his into the anus. While the initial taper is a bit steep, even on my XL model, it is just a very small hilt, smaller than an average guy’s glans. From there on, Thaigo tapers gently until he reaches the maximum diameter about 1/5 down the way from the tip. Below that point, the diameter decreases just a little bit unto the shaft becomes a straight rod. The base is a pair of rather tight yet protruding balls. So there is a small pedestal at the bottom which makes the dildo a bit unstable when riding.

The almost Club-Like Shape of Thaigo’s Shaft with the Ventral Groove at the Bottom

The overall shape of the dildo is oval. Through the combination of gentle pushing and turning motions you can slowly open up the sphincter. The entire dildo is very gently texture. There is almost no glans rim. On top the is one wide yet shallow vein running from the balls to the glans. Left, right and on the bottom there are hints of veins you hardly feel. What is a noticeable a bit is a deep and wide ventral groove which starts at the widest part of the shaft and gets deeper until it reaches the balls. But besides that is nothing to irritate – and stimulate – the first or second sphincter.

Because of this I call Thaigo an intermediate’s toy to depth play. While gradual tapering helps opening up the sphincters which closes off the rectum, do not underestimate his size. For an initial opening of the second sphincter the tip is still a bit too dull and too large. But if you have a bit experience with relaxing this sensitive and hard to voluntarily relax body area and have taken for example a XXXCalibur from MHT, Thaigo is the next step to widen and prepare your colon for deeper toys. Since there is little texture or complex design, it glides deeper smoothly so you can push it deeper in a steady and controlled way.

A Lonely Vein texturing the Shaft’s Top

Thaigo comes in four sizes. The original size (the real penis this dildo has been cast off) has a top circumference of about 13cm and a maximum circumference of 18.5cm at an insertable length of 20.5cm. The next three sizes all share a slightly larger initial circumference of 15cm and considerably larger maximum one of about 23cm. The insertable length varies between 24.5cm on the medium up to 34.5cm on my XL. Which one to choose depends on your play style and goals. Even in 75% Soft the medium is still good to handle and is long enough to start straighten out your second sphincter. But when you really want to go deep (maybe prepare for the other toys in this review) and at best have a play mate to operate the toy, go for the XL right away. The large is in my opinion the worst choice. Already too long to handle well on your own but 5cm shorter of depth you might want to experience in the long run.

Jack Hunter’s Almost Aggressive Glans

Jack Hunter

I debated quite a bit which toy should come second because both in their own right are very demanding and challenging. Since once you have taken BIG the glans, the Jaack Hunter is a bit easier, I settled for him. But I am getting ahead of myself.

The Jack Hunter is based off a cast of the famous porn performer. In order not to forget who fathered this dildo, there are the links to his fans pages embossed at the base of the shaft. So if you are already a fan and want to get fucked by your star or need realistic visual aids when riding the toy, I guess it is where the action is.

Since I have gotten a bit of concerned feedback about judging and body shaming someone after reviewing the toys from other creators in the past, let me clarify: On this website, I am reviewing the experience my testees and me had with the dildo. Since I never had the pleasure of playing with any of the fathers of the dildo, I can and will not judge their real dick and let alone their play style.

A few Veins and Rough Skin Textures Jack Hunter’s Shaft

The tip of the glans tapers evenly and smoothly which could open the sphincter up easily. But it is textured with shallow bumps and ridges like weathered skin. So especially when you twist and turn the toy, it can irritate the sphincter a bit, making it a bit harder to open up. Like his human counterpart Jack Hunter is has been circumcised quite tightly. This in combination with the fat glans and thick glans rim leads to a big glans drop. Pushing the tip of his dick in, creates a noticeable POP.

From below the glans to the balls the shaft very slowly and gradually increases in diameter. Over the entire length the size increases about 25% so there is some stretch when you ride the dildo all the way down. The shaft’s surface is textured with a few shallow veins and clusters of rougher skin. There is not ventral groove so sliding in & out and turning is in theory easy but the very prominent glans will be felt inside your colon.

Shallowly Textured but Still Demanding: The Bottom of Jack Hunter’s Shaft

From the life-cast it looks like Jack Hunter has somewhat low-hangers, something I could not confirm from the pics and videos he posts on his social media. Following a badly translated German say “Cannot assess, need to see (or better feel) naked”, I guess I need to spend some quality time with the original (despite him not being my type). Nevertheless, the big balls form a big and solid base without a pedestal. So even when riding the dildo hard, it stands up straight and does not tip over.

So while the shaft might look a bit intimidating, it is tamer than it first appears. The slight texture adds an interesting stimulation inside the anus without being overwhelming which might cause the sphincter to clench. But in order to get there, you must conquer the glans. An experienced fistee’s any will gladly open up and release the glans after some prestretching. But going deeper and leaving the rectum is an issue. In order to go deeper gently push without turning. Otherwise the texture might cause the muscle to clench. The moment the glans pops through the ring muscle is usually a very impressive – almost overwhelming – sensation which will cause some clenching. But since the glans drop is almost vertical, there is no gradual opening up when you pull the dildo out. It will always feel (a bit) violent. So in order to enjoy it, your second sphincter should already be accustomed to rougher play. Otherwise pulling this dildo out might be a session stopper.

Largo’s Dull Glans

Largo

As the name of dildo implies, Largo is a large toy. It is always a large toy since it only comes in one size. So it is a toy for experience width and depth players.

The tip of Largo’s glans is a bit dull and then tapers steeply, almost like a slightly elongated half-sphere. You need either a very loose hole or a bit of prestretch to take the entire 24.5cm circumference right away. There is a bit of a glans drop but not as severe as on the Jack Hunter.

The Ventral Groove with the Perpendicular Veins forming Knots

Below the glans the shaft is one straight, almost perfectly circular stem with a circumference of about 22cm. But its surface is heavily textured with shallow and several higher veins which run all over the place, both vertically and horizontally. At the back of the dildo, there runs a narrow and medium tall ventral groove. But when a vein intersects with it, taller standing bumps, like knots are formed. Even when just sliding the toy in and out, the sphincters are stimulated by the texture. As soon a start to twist and turn inside the hole, the intensity exponentially increases.

After riding down the full 41cm, you will find a pair thick and tight balls forming the base. Unlike with Thaigo, there is no pedestal so Large sits quite solidly. The base is 8.5cm tall so the entire length of Largo is almost half a meter making it very difficult to handle during selfplay. Riding it takes a bit of gymnastics – or a very experienced, easily relaxing and accommodating hole. If you are a depth pro, Largo holds many pleasures for you. But to fully enjoy him with all his potential, I highly recommend using it with another player who can navigate this long schlong inside your colon.

Thick & Tall Veins Texture Largo’s Entire Shaft

Where to buy

While there are some retailers like Mr S carrying some of Mr Hankey’s Toys dildos, I highly recommend ordering from the makes themselves. The product description on retailer websites are not always accurate so you do not know if you get the firmness you desire and you can only get it in flesh color. If you invest so much money into an anal toy that due to the material will last you a lifetime when properly taken care of, customize it to your personal demands. The manufacturing usually take around two weeks (probably longer after Black Friday which I have avoided so far) which is not too bad.

Thaigo starts at $169.90, Jack Hunter at $129.95 and Largo at $189.95. If you add extras and get larger, you can easily get above $250. But my first MHT dildos are now over seven years old and look and feel like on the day I have gotten them. So like all silicone toys they are an invest for your (w)hole life.

Vendor: Bad Dragon

Last month I visited Arizona, the origin state of Bad Dragon for the first time in my life. Blown away by the harsh beauty of desert, I will most likely visit again, though in a month when the temperatures are a bit more modest. Having returned from my travels, what would be more fitting than reviewing a triple of knotty wyrm toys that have been lurking in my playroom for quite some time?

Continuing onwards to San Francisco I picked up some new toys that are also in high demand review-wise like the new absurdly large Oxballs Pig-Holes or some classics from Friendly Toys. So I think there will be an Anal Toy Special incoming soon, probably mid-September when the summer extravaganza schedule has died down a bit.

Bad Dragon’s Tempest, Orochi & Slater

Example of Bad Dragon’s Exceptional Coloring Skills

Construction

The literal core of every anal toy is the material which is it made out of. Back in 2008 Bad Dragon way one of the first companies which only used pure platinum silicone. Their level of experience shows in every toy. Bad Dragon is hands down the industry standard when it comes to coloration! Platinum silicone is a material which takes on colors really easily but mastery of shades and patterns, the use of glow in the dark and UV reactive colors is unmatched by any one in the anal toy industry until now! To help you find your dream coloration, Bad Dragon has a 3D configurator on their website which also features a sizing tool.

The Deep Suction Cup Inside Orochi’s Base

The sizing tool should be used with a grain of salt though. I have been ordering toys from their website for almost 10 years now and despite a good imagination how big a toy will be and despite the sizing tool, I sometimes end up with toys which are way larger than expected or considerably smaller (like my large Tempest which I imagined to be bigger than the toy which I have gotten). So I have a few toys which I just keep as the silicone sculptures they are declared as in the custom form and rarely use because they need really (in)experienced holes for them to bring pleasure.

An important decision when configuring your toy is choosing the right firmness.

In Addition to the Knot, the many Lines of Bumps make Slaters very Simulating to Ride

Finally you can customize a toy with various options: The suction cup is probably the most often chosen one as it gives the toy an even better stand than a firm base. This opened Bad Dragon toys to a world of accessories from grips over suction cups to fuck machines.

The Untextured Ventral Groove on Tempest’s Shaft

Before I take a look at how the different toys perform in play, let’s talk about why next to coloration and different degrees of firmness, platinum silicone is the best material for anal toys. Most importantly, platinum silicone is 100% body safe. Unlike other materials which often use non-body safe plasticizers, platinum silicone does not leak any substances which can be dangerous in the short or long term. However, this only applies to the base material! Chinese toy companies have been known to use colors and dyes which are potentially dangerous and which can leak into your rectum. The rectum’s mucosa is one of the most absorbent body parts. So be very careful what kind of substances you are introducing to this body area!

Speaking of being careful what you are putting into your body, platinum silicone has a supersmooth surface. So it can be easily cleaned and it makes it difficult for bacteria to linger. For cleaning simple put the toy in warm dishsoap water, let it soak and rinse it off (I take post play bath with the toys on a regular basis). For extra cleaning, spray them with sanitizer or put them in an autoclave. In order to keep the toys beautiful for years to come, do not store them together with other materials. Different plasticizers can damage the toy. The same applies for silicone lube. The silicone oil can solvate the silicone so better stick to water- or oil-based lube. Finally, especially soft silicone can easily crease of get dents. So best store the toys upright without touching other toys.

Tempest’s Smooth, Tapering Glans for Easy Entry

Playing Tempest

Tempest starts out with a conically, slightly triangular glans. At the top there is a small dent where the urethra (or cum tube) would be. If you run your finger tips over the glans, you can feel a very slight ridge at the top side but to be frank even a very sensitive anus cannot feel it. The head sticks out very prominently from the shaft so there is a deep rim around it.

From below the glans, the shaft bows softly to all sides, especially towards the front and thus gently stretching the sphincter. Except a narrow smooth ventral groove the entire shaft is textured. The sides are only shallowly textured while on the opposite side of the ventral groove there is a cluster of more intense texture. Unlike on most other Bad Dragon toys, the ridges and bumps do not look like scales but imitate feathers. The texture depth is a medium shallow so it is noticeable without irritating the hole too much, especially in softer firmnesses.

The Feather Inspired Texture on Tempest’s Shaft

The plumage faces downwards which helps taking the toys deeper and creates very different sensations depending on whether you push the toy in or pull it out. When you push Tempest in, the bumps gently massage the sphincter. The untextured ventral groove presses against the prostate while the shaft extends outwards. Once you reverse the motion, the feather tips push against the anus, making the release of the next ridge a bit jerky instead of a smooth motion. Due to the smooth edges and relatively shallow texture depth, it does not feel like a barb but a more intense feeling of the texture. Especially when twisting the toy while fucking a bottom with Tempest creates an interesting sensation because the going in feels noticeable different than the pulling out.

There is a small, yet interesting design feature above the base. Below the narrowest point downwards towards the base, the texture gets deeper. So when resting while riding or when really bearing down on the toy, it actually becomes more intense. One testee called it the rewards for taking Tempest all the way. When you choose the a size above medium, the Tempest’s tip actually starts stimulating your second sphincter when you go so deep so both of your sphincters get teased hard when bouncing and riding it all the way down.

Orochi’s Textured Head

All of this in combination with the easily opening up glans make Tempest a good beginner toy and perfect for people who’s hole is not so experienced with textured toys but want to venture in this direction.

Playing with Orochi

The general shape of Orochi is defined by different strands or tentacles converging together at the top. The head is formed by nine distinct veins which are textured with downwards facing v-shaped scales. Because of this, the head is heavily textured and very stimulating. Except the apex tip itself which is dull. So taking Orochi requires a bit of prestretch with tapering toys before trying to take him. But just riding and teasing the hole with the texture, letting it slide along the closed anus can be a delightful foreplay.

Like the head, the shaft is formed by different strands or tentacles. They are bulging and turning, creating nooks and recesses and an almost knot-like shape. So when riding Orochi, there is not like that one knotting moment but an ebb and flow of pressure and release. The different strands are lined with scale-like texture which gets increasingly coarse from the sides to the center. Left and right the scales are small, like on a sneak. On top they are shallow horizontal ridges like a dragon’s armor.

Orochi’s Different Textured on the Multi-Strand Shaft

Through the oval shape and the way he curves, Orochi has a distinct from front and back. However, he is not so directionally shaped like knotted toys that you cannot ride him perpendicularly. When you push down that way, your prostate will ride down along the curve of the lateral strands. Not only will the micro texture irritate the prostate in a delightful way, but through the curvature the pressure will be a wave of increase, decrease and then increase again.

Like most complex toys, Orochi is best enjoyed inside the hands of a skilled fister. Through altering the insertion angle the head’s texture can feel coarser or smoother for more or less anus stimulation. Because the different strands are quite prominent, twisting the head inside the anus has its own turbine like quality. Once completely inserted twisting (while moving him in and out) is also very fun. This way different textures can stimulate different areas. It is quite fun to irritate/ tire out the hole with one texture and turn the toy 90°, introducing the coarser, bigger scales to the area which before was only exposed to the micro texture.

Despite the complex pattern, when you have trained your hole a bit and have done some prestretching. Orochi is not that hard to take. Especially in soft, it is a good toy for a texture beginner to try to experience different patterns and stimulations. Since the bulge comes gradually instead of a big, dull knot, you can ride the toy and conquer it over time.

The Flapping Ridges on Slater’s Head making him Hard to Take if you are not very Relaxed

Playing with Slater

If you take away all the texture, Slater is a triple knot toy which will increasingly stretch your sphincter. But luckily you cannot take away the texture which makes Slater to one of the most interesting and difficult to describe toy.

The sides of all three knots are textured with thin, curveted highly raised wall-like ridges. The top of these ridges are textured with very small bumps. The top and the bottom of the “shaft” are textured with lines of higher raised bumps. The surface between these lines is textured with a very shallow  scale pattern.

When just riding Slater up and down, most of his magic is lost. The complex texture makes him actually hard to take. There is always something in the way, resisting to just gently slip through the sphincter. Pulling out, the texture massages the sensitive anus. If you are lying relaxed in a sling or are flexible enough to move around on the toy, Slater is a unique hole pleaser. The texture which before made it difficult to take the toy deeper now suddenly starts to caress and massage. Ridges start to scratch just the right place or add pointed pressure on the prostate.

The Lines of Tiny Horns Going Around the Base are Quite Simulating when Grinding

The base is textured with curved bands of points horns. When you knot the toy completely and start grinding the base, they can stimulate the outside of your prostate or your clitoris if you stick it up your front hole. If you want to engage into this kind of play, I do not recommend getting the toy in firm of choose a firm base. While the horns might look small, in firm firmness, they can be VERY rigid and unforgiving.

While Tempest was a beginner’s toy, Slater is for connoisseurs and textured experienced people. When you just dully ride the toy, it will feel boring, almost annoying. It takes time to discover and explore the very complex bulges and recesses. Slater can be enjoyed alone; one of my testees placed him in a yoga block he could turn easily to get the stimulation just where he wanted it to be. But he really starts to shine when you can completely relax and let someone else guide you through the many stimulations this very complex toy has to offer.

Vendor: Mr Hankey’s Toys

This review has been long in the making. It was actually scheduled to be the first review of 2024 because for years I have been asked to review the Seahorse. Despite being a texture lover, I was never that keen on the Seahorse because the design freaked me a bit out (like tentacles). But having taken one for the team several times and constantly pushing my boundaries, I decided to give this toy a go. Alas, then the cyber attack happened and there were no reviews anymore. So, instead of opening, I am closing the year with these BIG boys.

Construction

When looking at the toys, I was inclined to call this the sea monster edition because both toys are in the broadest way nautically inspired.

The Mr Hankey’s Toys Seahorse & Kthulu

The Seahorse is best describe as a (almost) human dick with a fishing net wrapped around. The glans is medium-tapering and the glans rim is textured with little bumps. The thick shaft is slightly wedge-shaped and bulges at the bottom. The entire shaft is textured with faint ridges. The stem is overlaid with five vertical (one of them “ventral”) and five horizontal veins which form a grid pattern. There the ridges meet, more or less small bumps indicate knots. Below the bulge at the bottom and above the nuts there is a cluster of three thick veins. The bottom are two thick realistic balls which are also textured with the ridges.

While the Seahorse is almost human, Kthulu is truly a great old monster. Instead of glans there is just a half-dome. The upper third of the toys is texture with a random cluster of half-domes and bumps, almost boils which are textured with shallow veins. Below it is a narrow neck which is textured with horizontal ridges. The lower half is a cluster of twisted vertical veins which look like tentacles grabbing the circular base.

Like all MHT toys, both are made out of platinum silicone. The materials is 100% body-safe, super-smooth and easy to clean. A little grain of salt is that silicone toys must not be used with silicone or hybrid lube. Both kinds of lube will disintegrate the surface. Water and oil based lube are safe to be used with silicone toys.

The Vac-U-Lock in the Base of both Toys

Silicone can come in almost every firmness. Choosing the right firmness for your kind of play is important since it impacts the feel and ergonomics of the toy. The firmer the silicone, the less the texture gently massages but “scratches” the sphincter (silicone cannot actually scratch tissue but like all anal toy tear when there is too much stretch too quickly). Also, since the sphincter cannot squeeze the toy in the direction of least resistance, the firmer a toy, the harder to take. On the other hand, softer toys do not stand up and bend away when pressure is applied. So they are harder to handle, especially when riding solo or playing with less trained holes. Since this year, MHT offers four firmness levels with 40% Soft and Extra Firm being new ones which I have not tried yet. Due to the heavy texture and head-heaviness of both toys, I would recommend sticking with 75% Soft and Medium Firmess on the Kthulu and 75% Soft on the Seahorse (why, see below).

Like the firmness, silicone can cover a wide range of colors and patterns. It takes on the colors easily and they do not fade over time. The standard color range includes 13 colors and 12 UV or difficult to handle colors for an up-charge of $29.95 or two marble colors for $39.95.

Seahorse’s Glans

For only $4.95 a Vac-U-Loc hole can be added to every toy. Originally designed to attach the toy to fuck machines, there are a number of nifty accessories out there for this kind of system: Handles, Strap-On harnesses, suction cups and double-dildo connectors. Because of this I highly recommend adding this inexpensive feature to your toy. There are just too many useful scenarios along the way to go cheap on this one – even if you don’t have the accessories. During play I stick my finger in the hole to control the toy more easily.

Playing with the Seahorse and Kthulu

The Seahorse is a mean and demanding toy. Since the grid is not strictly geometrically but twisted – like a fishing net around an object – there is no real resting place for your sphincter. It constantly gets stimulated on one side while needing to relax and open up for another vein on the other side. This makes the Seahorse a toy difficult to take. It is definitively not a scene starter. And most definitively not a width trainer. But when the hole is loose and the anal lips are just flapping around the toy, the Seahorse is a horny fucker! Through the massive base, it has a firm and secure stand, even when bouncing on it hard. The big nuts are a bit hard to grab when playing with a top. If you want to play with a partner, go for the Vac-u-Lock hole for his thumb. Once the toys has been stabilized this way, the big balls are perfect for twisting the toy inside the bottom. Since the texture is equally intense vertically as horizontally, twisting the toy unlocks a (w)hole new dimension. This also makes the toy quite the rosebud bloomer.

The Veiny Fishing Net Texture

Even more than with other toys, the texture intensity makes choosing the right combination of size and firmness important. Usually my advice for choosing a toy is “Don’t buy toys for the hole you have, buy toys for the hole you want.” For the Seahorse my advice is “Look a diameter you can comfortably take, substract 15% and make that number your size guide.” When configuring my toy, I used my usual metric “When in doubt, go big or go home” which landed me at XXXL and leaned towards the Med Firmness because I really want to feel the texture. Despite being anally quite experience and despite using a fair amount of poppers, the toy is too big and to firm to get into the drool-inducing massage flow I get when riding a friend’s Seahorse. If I had to chose again, I would probably go for “just” a large and 75% Soft (40% Soft will most likely keep the toy from standing up straight). The softer silicone is also necessary to unleash the toys full potential. Since it is so thick, it does not really bend, making it difficult to take deep. And this does not even take into account the heavy texture which will really fuck with your second sphincter, especially when the silicone is firm.

Seahorse’s Big Base & Vein Cluster at the Bottom

While the Seahorse starts out nice and becomes a mess further down, Kthulu is quite the opposite. The half-dome at the very tip forces the sphincter open instead of gradually opening it up. Right at the apex the big boils start so the opening process is rather brute force. Because of this it is again not a scene starter but a gape tickler. The complex cluster is best enjoyed in the hands of a skilled top how can not only twist the toy inside the sphincter but can also alter the angle of the penetration. Even small alterations of the attack vector greatly changes the sensation. Since there are nooks and valleys between the bumps, a skilled top can use the Kthulu for prostate stimulation and with the right pressure and firmness for prostate milking.

The Heavily Clustered Tip of Kthulu

Riding it brings out a different kind of sensation. In order to fully enjoy the toy, you have to twist it a bit to find the right orientation of the bumps towards your sphincter. Once found, the bumps will “irritate” the sphincter, making it sensitive. This sensitivity is awesome when riding on the lateral ridges below the bumps – ideally when a bump is pressing against the prostate.

The lower half again is more of a tops tool. Twisting the entwined tentacles creates a sensation of vortex. This is enhanced when twisting in once direction while pushing in and the other while pulling out.

Depthwise, Kthulu is a real advanced toy. Through the “neck” in the middle, the toy has a natural bending point for going deep. However, while it is already a bit of a challenge for the anus to take the tip, for the second sphincter you really need an experienced hole.

The Tentacle Entangled Shaft below the Ridge Textured Neck

All things considered, my testees and I had some fun riding Kthulu or stuffing the hole while lying on the back. But this dildo is best enjoyed with another partner or a fuck machine (which can twist).

Where to buy?

Mr Hankey sells their toys directly through their website. This is the best way to get them when you want to customize them even further. They also run promotions on a regular basis so check their page regular to snatch a bargain. The Seahorse starts at $165.85, the Kthulu at $129.95. But depending on your size and how many extras you add, they can go up beyond $300.
