Wrist Binder

The 665 Leather Wrist Binder

Vendor: 665 Leather

Construction

The Wrist Binder look a bit like handcuffs from the early 20th century and is made milled out of 25mm thick aircraft-grade aluminum. The material makes them really light at 318g without compromising the sturdiness and rigidness. All edges have been properly deburred to prevent cuts and scratches. Out of the box the Wrist Binder have a beautiful stroke matting but since aluminum is a soft material it quickly gets tarnished with scratches.

Detail of the Hing Mechanism in Use

For comfortable wearing the wrists are put cuffs shaped like stretched ovals measuring 75x57mm. They are large enough even for larger wrists but small enough that a person with a M glove size and not too collapsible hands can’t pull them out. The two cuffs are connected by a twistable hinge. The cuffs are closed by pad locks which are put through eyelets on the top of the long side of the cuff. The eyelets have a diameter of 7mm which is a standard pad lock size just in case there is already a keyed-alike lock system in use. Otherwise the Wrist Binder came with two brass Master Locks. On each side, parallel to the hinge in the middle, there is an 13mm eyelet milled out of 9mm thick aluminum.

Playing with the Wrist Binder

The Wrist Binder was a gift from a couple of friends for my birthday this March. It was on my wishlist because I was looking for restraints to incorporate into rope bondage. On 665 Leather’s website I found Wrist Binder pictured on the right: The look like a handcuff with a hinge on one side, an eyelet for a pad lock on the other side and two huge eyelets in the middle for rope. What my friends got from the US was what I am reviewing here. So I got in touch with 665 Leather, trying to get the item my friend ordered for me. I was told that on the website are pictures of the old version and I have gotten the new one. Roughly 9 months after my birthday the still have not changed the pictures on their website so I am not sure what toy will be sent when the “Wrist Binder” is ordered through the link below.

As a handcuff the Wrist Binder works really well. Through the ergonomic shape and the rounded edges they are comfortable to wear even for extended periods of time. The width of the aluminum, the ability to twist the wrists against each other and the fact that they can’t be retightened almost eliminates the risk of nerve damage which sometimes can occur when police handcuffs are worn too tight or for too long. If a stricter bondage is desired, a 300mm zip-tie can be used instead of pad locks. This will limit the ability to twist immensely.

But how does the Wrist Binder work incorporated in a bondage layout, using rope, chain or other means? For the original purpose – rope bondage – they do not work at all! Through the ability to twist, unintended pull and tangling can happen, messing up the rigging. In a testing scene I was actually forced to cut rope for the first time in my life because while twisting, rope got caught in the hinge!

Detail of how Easily the Satin Finish scratches

The position of the bondage anchor points are also unfortunate for attaching them easily to collars, shoulder restraints, etc. The top always has to use carabiners, chain or something else to create an anchor point above the wrists not next to them. For stress position, like the arms stretched out, I guess it is a bit better than the one on their website because through the twisting the hands can be brought into a somewhat more comfortable position if need. However, since the metal does not give in, a sub put into stress position using this restraint must be watched extra well!

Conclusion: Good handcuff with sadly little usage for the two bondage anchor points.

665 Leather Neoprene Confinement Hood

The 665 Leather Neoprene Confinement Hood

The 665 Leather Neoprene Confinement Hood

Construction

Today’s toy of the Heavy Bondage Special is made out of soft neoprene. The soft side of the neoprene is always on the outside on this toy. I am reviewing the L/XL version that measures approx. 31cm by 29cm. While this may sound large please be advised that I have a somewhat average head size and this mask sits quite tightly and is a bit difficult to put on. While neoprene stretches and thus creates a great confinement sensation (see: next section) this hood is definitely not for quickly throw on, especially if the sub has much hair.

Over the entire front of the hood runs a zipper behind which a roughly anatomic mask with cut out for the eyes and mouth is sowed. On the back there runs a zipper up the half to make putting on the mask easier. In order to keep from hair getting caught in the zipper a piece of neoprene covers the zipper from the inside.

I am a bit indecisive what to say about the build quality. The seams of this toy are flawless. Again, they are not welded yet for a hood I don’t consider that important. Sadly the cutout of the double mask is not as precise as I would have hoped for. Luckily neoprene can quite easily be cut with a good pair of kitchen scissors yet this gets a deduction in the B-note. But what you should keep in mind: $50 for a double face hood is a bargain!

Playing with it

While last week’s reviewed toy was all about fitting loose this mask is the complete opposite. The neoprene fits tightly around the head, creating an intense feeling of bondage. If you add ear plugs they get firmly pushed into the sub’s ears canceling out noises very well and adding to the feeling of isolation. Once the front zipper is closed the sub is caught in darkness, inhaling the neoprene scent. This property makes this mask the ideal companion for the Neoprene sleepsack I reviewed some time ago because it creates total neoprene immersion/ gimpness. Another nice feature of neoprene is its waterproofness. This mask once served as a “storage tool” for a piss sub on a party: open the zipper if needed, close it once done. Since neoprene pulls together you get a bit of a cocksucker hood effect if you don’t open the zipper too much. So you can face fuck the sub while remaining anonymous. Of cause, it takes a bit of practice to find the sweet spot that the tension doesn’t open the zipper completely.

The amount of air that is let through the zipper is enough to allow for a good oxygen supply. Yet if you are into it, put a poppers drenched cotton ball behind the closed zipper and the intoxication is quite intense.

Conslusion: Inexpensive, well confining double face hood

665 Leather Neoprene Sleep Sack

Vendor: Mister B

Construction

Front of the Sleep Sack

Front of the Sleep Sack

The sleep sack is made out of charcoal colored 2,2mm thick neoprene. The color sparked some debate under my testees: some liked the modern, sleek accent to their playroom, others said that the non-black color broke the all-black scheme of their playroom. I like the color but have to admit: despite the subtle tone it does „pop“ in an all black environment. The neoprene pieces are sewed together by sturdy black threat in cross-stitching. Unlike neoprene gear made for water sports the seams are not welded so they are not waterproof. Same applies to the zipper. There are three of them: one from YKK from the neck to mid-chest for easy entry, one above the dick and one above the ass from unknown manufacturers. Both these zippers have a small piece of neoprene covering the zipper from the inside so neither skin nor hair gets caught. Inside the bag there are sleeves for the arms which are closed on the end so the sub can’t touch himself. Around the neck hole there is a soft collar made out of black cloth.

Soft Collar around the Neck

Soft Collar around the Neck

Size wise this sleep sack is a bit tricky: I have got the XL version which is made for people between 176cm and 186cm height, a 112cm to 117cm chest and a 89cm to 97cm waist. I am 1,89m tall and am neither especially beefy nor chubby and still I just barely fit in it. Because XL is the largest size (but they go down to a tiny S) the person you want to put into it shouldn’t be too large.

The right Arm Sleeve for an intense Bondage Experience

The right Arm Sleeve for an intense Bondage Experience

If I am informed correctly this is the most inexpensive bondage bag on the market so if you are doing kinky on the budget and want the tight total bondage or neoprene all-over experience this is the toy to get (for the total neoprene aficionado and/ or total immersion bondage fan 665 Leather also makes a neoprene bondage bag with attached hood for $485). A snug tight fit comes through the stretchiness as a material property of neoprene. This of cause means that the sub inside can wrestle and work out pain a bit more easily compared to a leather sleep sack. In order to prevent this from happening you can either do a rope harness over the bag (which looks especially hot when using a contrast rope color) or add belt-like straps like from Stylefetish (I have been waiting for these straps to arrive in time for posting this review but sadly they didn’t. I will post a small review of them as soon as they arrive and I can put a sub into them). For most bondage boys this added layer of restraining is a great turn-on.

Detail of the Chest Zipper and the Stitching

Detail of the Chest Zipper and the Stitching

The zippers grant access to all important play areas but the nipples. A bit problematic is the lack of some form of cloth your can pull out from below the zipper on both sides to cover the zipper because the stretchiness of the material tends to pull the two sides of the open zipper together. This can be a problem for the top when while fucking the sub the zipper teeth can irritate his dick skin or for the sub when his junk is taken out for being played with. At least for the sub most of the time putting on a Oxball Nuttsling p.e. will do the trick protecting the skin around his penis root. Nevertheless the stretchiness can also be an advantage: putting nipple clamps is a bit difficult but once they are in place they stay in place even when the chest is already moist or the sub wiggles around. If you can fuck or enjoy fucking somebody while he is in the sleep sack is a very personal thing. All but one top didn’t like „humping a plank“ but the one loved the objectification of his fuck toy.

The Zipper over the Ass with the protective piece of neoprene

The Zipper over the Ass with the protective piece of neoprene

As mentioned above: the body bag is not waterproof. While I have not seen liquids leaking out off the seams the zippers above the ass is a problem. Because neoprene isolates so well this sleep sack is great for all kind of temperature scenes (please always monitor the hydration and overall body temperature of your sub!) or playing in chillier surroundings where a latex sleep sack would be too cold. But at some point the sweat will leak out of the rear zipper so put a towel under it. For anything nastier like letting the sub inside for so long that he pisses himself the sleep sack isn’t really made for. So either diaper up the sub or put the sleep sack on a surface which can be soiled by body fluids.

Conslusion: The best masturbation device I have come across yet.
