Steel Ball Stretcher

I intended to publish this review as the last piece to my ball stretcher series. But somehow I couldn’t find an angle from which to review this toy because a general review especially of the particular toy I am owning would be useless for anybody who doesn’t have balls which are at least vaguely like mine. So this is probably going to be more of a “Buyers Guide to Steel Ball Stretchers”. Let’s see where the muses will take me…

Closing Mechanism

Detail of the closing mechanism of a split ball stretcher

The steel ball stretcher is as the name says is made out of stainless steel so it doesn’t rust. The other main property of steel is that it doesn’t give in: It either fits or it is too large. The way the stretcher fits is determined by its length and the diameter of the central hole. Depending on the vendor you are looking at it comes in a great number of length, for the diameter I have so far only seen 34mm and 38mm diameter. The diameter can be a bit tricky: When you have a meaty sack but small balls you might have a problem wearing a steel ball stretcher because you need a larger hole to fit the meaty neck of your sack but your small balls might slip through the hole when wearing the stretcher. Because the outer diameter can’t be increased infinitely due to being able to close your legs when wearing it both length and diameter impact the third factor characterizing factor: The weight. This is yet again something you need to try out in order to figure out which is comfortable enough. But please keep in mind that extensively wearing a stretcher with a lot of weight will ultimately stretch your balls (which might be the reason to wear one for some people). I have seen two closing mechanisms for ball stretcher: It either is split in two halves that are hold together with hex screws (depending on the length 2, 4 or even 6) or you have a ¾ steel ring and a magnetic quarter is inserted. Personally I prefer the ones you have to screw together because I have caught way too often skin or hairs between the steel and the magnet.

Diameter & Thickness

38mm diameter of the central hole and 42mm height for 660g lead to a 12mm thickness

I sometimes wonder if this item is really a toy because for a standard dungeon scene I prefer other ball stretchers. They simple tighten the ball more effectively and make gripping them more easily. But I have to admit that the steel band on the bottom of a stretcher makes a good surface when hitting the balls. Then again weights can be metered and attached more easily to traditional ball stretcher with D-rings (I have to admit that there are steel ball stretchers with welded eyelets on them but because they are so bulky I found the stretcher very uncomfortable to wear). In my opinion steel ball stretchers are more a piece of fetish accessory especially for people into CBT. They can be worn comfortable under everyday cloth and the moving momentum of the steel always reminds you that there is something kinky staying with you throughout the day. Of cause that can be turned into a great mind fuck scene: The top attaches the stretcher to the sub’s balls, keeps the hex and they go out for a walk or shopping. Some of my friends actually use light steel ball stretchers instead of a chain collar when the work environment doesn’t permit such a bold sign of submission.

Disassambled

My split ball stretcher disassambled

At the end of every review I reach a verdict but this time I don’t really what to say: I love my ball steel stretcher but as said not as a toy but as a piece of gear. If you want something for torture in the playroom there are better and more flexible alternatives out there. But if you want something to carry your craving for CBT into the everyday life you should definitely give this toy a try.

Oxballs Trough

Vendor: Oxballs

Construction

_DSC7391The Oxballs Trough is a roughly cuneiformed piece of FLEX-TPR measuring 6,4cm at the widest part by 13,5cm. At the upper end is a 3,9cm by 2,2cm hole with a recess for your seminal duct through where you put your penis. Below that is the 3,7cm by 2cm hole for your balls which provide about 1,7cm of stretch. From that hole runs a reinforced, thick piece of FLEX-TPR to a 3,6cm by 2,2cm bulge on the end of the toy.

Playing with it

I have to admit when I have first gotten this item from Oxballs as a gift because there were some problems with an order I didn’t really know what to do with this toy. But after I figured out how to use it properly it because one of my favorite toys especially when traveling.

The initial application is making jerkin off more exciting: The hole for the dick restricts the blood flow a bit thus it works a bit as a cockring and the ball hole has a bit of a stretch and squeezes the neck of your sack so your balls bounce a bit when you start to wank (only for that you have to love this toy). But the piece de resistance of this toy is the bulge on the end. While jerking the bulge slaps against the part of your prostate located just below the perineum. With the toy come instructions how to use it properly and on that Oxballs says you should put lube on the bulge. I have tried it with several water and silicone lubes and it didn’t alter the sensation in any way; it only made clean-up more difficult.

_DSC7392So much about the vanilla application. I have used and had the Trough on me in a number of cum control sessions. For milking it is a great toy: The pressure of the cock hole helps sustain the erection and the bouncing balls and prostate stimulation supports the effort of squeezing another orgasm out off the sub. When it comes to edging the usefulness of this toy greatly depends on your style. When you mostly do head polishing or frenulum stimulation the Trough does nothing for you. If you jerk, you have to be careful because the bouncing balls and the bulge have an own momentum which is often enough to make the sub cum.

For other CBT purposes it as always depends on the sub’s balls. If his balls are tight the little stretch is enough to make them firm enough for good squeezing, twisting, hitting, etc. If you should put conductive silicone loops around the balls and the shaft depends on how brave you are and how well made your electro box is made. When jerking the two poles can meet thus hot-wiring your box. A friend has done that accidently with his ET232 and had no problems but with a less well-made box it can fry the internals.

For all different aspects of play the manifestation or intensity of the sensation depends greatly on the position of the sub: When sitting down you have to sit so far forward and when laying down the legs must be spread apart so much that the bulge can still move freely which can be uncomfortable (but maybe you want to go there). For an extensive scene I would recommend either standing legs spread a bit apart or sitting on a rim or gynecological examination chair.

Conslusion: The best masturbation device I have come across yet.

Oxballs Splitsling

The Oxballs Splitsling

Vendor: Oxballs

Construction

After having taken a look at just a stretcher from Oxballs today we add a divider with the Splitsling which is also made out of their exclusive extremely stretchy FLEX-TPR.

Like the Nuttsling it has three holes. Through the first you have to put both your dick and balls. It is slightly smaller with approx. 3,9cm by 2,7cm. The profile is also oblique so the stretcher fits nice and tightly onto your body. On the bottom of the hole there is a small recess for your seminal duct so even if you have a really big dick thus pressing the material tightly onto your genitals piss and cum can flow freely. Across from the first hole there is another one through which you put your dick. It is 3,6cm by 2,2cm and also has a small recess. Perpendicular to these holes is the stretcher which has less stretch than the Nuttsling with approx. 2,4cm of stretch. The tube is 3cm wide and on the bottom there is a 1cm wide piece of FLEX-TPR which functions as a divider. Because it is so flexible it works even with large balls.

Sadly Oxballs doesn’t (yet?) offer the Splitsling in the stretcher size of the Nuttsling or as the updated design of the Cocksling-2. If you need more stretch and a divider take a look at their Splitz.

The Seminal Ducts on the Back and Bottom of the Dick Hole

The Seminal Ducts on the Back and Bottom of the Dick Hole

Playing with it

I usually praise Oxballs toys for long-term wearability if you choose a toy which doesn’t stretch too much for your sack. In this case if you have a larger sack and especially large balls, try this toy out extensively if you can before you buy it. The FLEX-TPR is stretchy enough to accommodate even large sacks but it is made to get back into shape so the push of it towards your body can be more intense than you would expect from such a soft material.

But if it fits the stretcher is like any other toy from Oxballs: Comfortable to wear (again: if shaved properly!) yet it pushed your sack down and balls apart enough to make them ideal targets for torturing them. Because unlike with leather divider straps this divider is also about 1cm thick. Through the volume you can tie conductive silicone loops around the individual balls without them making contact which can lead to a… unique sensation for the sub. Also I found the FLEX-TPR a bit more practical when it comes to playing with wax and water compared to leather. One thing the FLEX-TPR can’t do is being used for adding weights or bondage! In theory you could put a shackle onto the divider as a D-ding substitute but the FLEX-TPR will when pulled on either stretch or tear. If you want to add bondage or weights please use suitable rope (like fat shoe laces) for another layer of bondage.

Putting the Splitsling on is basically the same way like the Nuttsling. But instead of pushing the back end on the perineum I found it easier to press the divider between your balls and then pull the rest over the sack. Otherwise getting the balls sorted out is kind of complicated.

Conslusion: Comfortable stretcher with divider for long-term wear if your balls are not too big.

The Stretcher with the Penis openen

The Stretcher with the Penis openen

The last couple of weeks I have been reviewing leather ball stretchers. Today’s toy is made out of Oxballs’ exclusive super-stretchy FLEW-TPR.

The Nuttsling has three holes. Through the first you have to put both your dick and balls. It is approx. 4,1cm by 2,9cm and oblique so the stretcher fits nice and tightly onto your body. On the bottom of the hole there is a small recess for your seminal duct so even if you have a really big dick thus pressing the material tightly onto your genitals piss and cum can flow freely. Across the first hole is the second one through which you put your dick. It is 3,3cm by 2,2cm and also has a small recess. Perpendicular to these holes is the stretcher which provides approx. 3,2cm of stretch. Halfway through the 2,5cm wide tube there is a bulge for a snug fit of your balls. Around all holes is a piping like bulge which makes wearing the Nuttsling more comfortable.

The back of the Stretcher with the Recess for the Seminal Duct

The back of the Stretcher with the Recess for the Seminal Duct

If you balls are really tight, Oxballs offers a model with a bit less stretch called the Cocksling. There is a new version out the Cocksling-2 which has “supporting beams” all around the stretcher tube for a bit extra stretch. I can’t wait to get my hands on a hopefully soon to be made Nuttsling-2.

Playing with it

This stretcher is made for really long-term wearing due to the material properties. The TPR is very flexible. Due to the bulge in the middle the stretch is good but still the stretcher will still adjust (to a certain level) to how much your balls can take. This also matters when you start moving you balls (jerking off, hitting, etc.): Unlike leather or stiff rubber stretchers the TPR will give in making it a bit more comfortable to wear (and in my testees’ opinion the balls bounce more while jerking off). Also unlike leather this stretcher doesn’t care about sweat and piss. But the comfort is only try when you have shaved (not trimmed!) your pubes. When pubic hair gets caught between the skin and the TPR and you start to move it feels like pulling on your pubes (which might be what you want).

So, how do you put this stretcher on? The method which works best for most of my testees and me is

  1. putting both forefinger and middle finger inside the stretcher tube,
  2. squeeze and pull it apart,
  3. push the back against the point where your perineum meets your scrotum,
  4.  pull the tube over your balls,
  5. than your dick through the hole and
  6. finally adjust the tube which will probably still be a bit deformed after the squeezing.

Even though this might sound complicated once you have figured it out this stretcher is actually the easiest I own to put on because you don’t have to deal with gripping your balls with one hand, put the leather around it with the other, than take care that no skin is in between the snap buttons while making sure that both balls stay below, etc.

The Bulge inside the Stretcher Tube for a snug and firm fit

The Bulge inside the Stretcher Tube for a snug and firm fit

I have already talked at length what you can do with balls inside a stretcher. But due to the flexible material squeezing the balls of your sub is easier than when he wears a stretcher made out of a stiffer material.

Because TPR toys can be used with most forms of lube (water, oil, silicone based and water/silicone hybrids) I use the Nuttsling for electro play. For electro CBT I mostly rely on simply silicone loops. In order not to short-circuit them they mustn’t touch so I put one loop just below the bulge at the ending of the stretcher, one just behind the bulge of the dick-and-balls hole and the fun can begin. And if I need water-based lube for better conductivity the TPR won’t mind.

Recon Leather Ball Stretcher

The Ballstretcher with Divider in the smallest Adjustment

The Ballstretcher with Divider in the smallest Adjustment

After having covered Mr S’ ball stretcher range the last two weeks today I am going to take a look at the most basic ball stretcher from Recon which I have got in the 5cm width. The stretcher itself is made out of two layers of leather: The outer is a stiff, almost cardboard like leather, the inner is a soft one. Due to this construction all metal parts are making skin contact again bringing potential allergic problems. Three snap buttons hold the stretcher in place, sadly there is only one diameter adjustment for 3,7cm.

The 1,9cm wide divider has the same basic construction: the stiffer leather on the outside, the softer leather on the inside. It is hold in place by three black rivets on the wider part and through the three snap buttons you can have three different length settings: 9cm length with 4,1cm space between the rim of the stretcher and the divider, 10cm and 4,8cm and finally 11cm and 5,7cm. There is a not welded d-ring which freely runs along the divider. On the one hand this is handy because you can put it for bondage purposes on the front or back of the balls but on the other hand it can fall off the divider (which to be honest is unlikely because it would have to get over the three female parts of the snap buttons).

Playing with it

In order to play with this toy you need a fairly large scrotum. Because the leather is really stiff this stretcher isn’t really forgiving lengthwise. If it fits really well (or even a bit loose) it is comfortable to wear for some time, but if it fits tightly or as soon as you add 250g of weight the hard edge will start to hurt and irritate the skin. Due to the divider allowing for quite large settings this toy is made for people with REALLY large balls or people into pumping/ saline play.

The only Diameter is 3,7cm

The only Diameter is 3,7cm

Playwise the same things can be done than with the Mr S one (which I will mostly just copy and paste for your convenience):  Because the d-ring is in the middle the pull of weights is directly downward and is felt more on the individual balls than on the sack itself. When you start moving the weight, p.e. when wanking, is will start to swing freely and will gather moving momentum which will increase the pull on the balls. Of cause you can use the d-ring as an anchor point for carabineers again. I particularly had fun attaching it tightly to the end of my shoulder-to-wrist-restraints.

The divider offers some interesting possibilities for CBT. It makes targeting single balls more easily like for attaching single electrodes (fried eggs anyone?), individual pressure or hitting (my favorite for this is a riding whip). Another cool thing which I enjoyed very much is sensation play: Cool one ball with ice and drop wax on the other.

HML Electro Ballstretcher

HML Electro StretcherThe last two weeks I have been talking about ball stretchers and will continue the next couple of weeks. But D-Rings and dividers are not only the only extras you can put onto a ball stretcher: This one from HML has both of the features and two electrodes to fry your balls. The thought of weight pulling down and swinging on my balls while they are zapped or setting the weight in motion by the shocks is really tempting. And 24,90€ for a leather ball stretcher with divider, a d-ring AND electrodes is a fair price.

Reader Request and Site Housekeeping

As promised earlier this year I made some requested design changes: All old articles have gotten a new layout for a more attractive appeal and easier access to the pictures. Also, the conclusion box is back but without points in different categories. Instead the conclusion, pro and cons and where to get is put in a more structured way. The look of the box isn’t final yet but it is an improvement over the old style. Also after some requests I have where possible incorporated links to other big stores (until now Mister B for Europe and Mr S for the USA) where you can get the product from. With toys which are made by a big kinky manufacturer like Oxballs this is easy because the products I reviewed are the exact same in every store. Other toys, like the Clover clamps, can come from other manufacturers with different feather pressure, etc. So the link to the product I am actually reviewing is marked as “manufacturer” even though the store in most cases doesn’t really produce the toy themselves. A request I haven’t really figured out yet how to implement in a lucid way is to tag articles by which stores sells which toys For a little more comfort when browsing for toys from a certain store there now is a spreadsheet on the “Review” landing page where you can browse the reviews by manufacturer/ store, category and toy name. Sadly my WordPress theme still messes with the layout and the drop down boxes don’t work yet. Last but not least: I have finally put content on the FAQ page. If you have any other questions you think others also want answered feel free to send them to me and I will post them.

I have also gotten a couple of mails asking me to review some more basic and inexpensive toys. As most of the time I listen to my honored readers. Some of you might have already noticed the last two weeks I have been publishing reviews of ball stretchers and there are still some reviews to come. In my opinion ball stretchers are an essential and inexpensive toy so I hope you are happy with this little series even though I have to be honest: At the moment I am looking forward to test and review other stuff than ball stretchers right now. So I am hoping you are as excited as I am about the other great toys I will review in the not too distant future.

Mr S Ball Stretcher with Divider

Vendor: Mr S

Construction

Oil Taned LeatherUnlike last week’s stretcher this one is made out of a single 3,8cm wide piece of leather which Mr S calls oil tanned. Despite being nearly 2mm thick is it very soft and has smooth edges making it comfortable to wear. The comfort has the downside that this stretcher isn’t as stiff as others thus the stretch will not as strong as other stretcher with the same width. Also due to only using a single piece of leather the metal is able to make contact with the skin which can be a problem with people being allergic to certain metals. The stretcher is closed with a pair of snap buttons with the Mr S logo on them. You can choose between a diameter of 3,4cm and 2,7cm.

Logo Snap ButtonsThe divider strap is made out of trifolded garment leather and 1,9cm wide. Two rivets attach it to the wider part and there are two snap buttons which allow a divider length of 6cm with 2,5cm space between the rim of the stretcher and the divider strap and 5cm length with 1,2cm. On top of the divider is a not welded d-ring which is hold in place of a strap of trifolded garment leather two rivets. The space between the rivets is large enough so that the d-ring can move into the middle of the divider on both length settings.

On Mr S’ website this toy is still shown with three snap buttons above each other and thus a larger divider strap. When I was at their store in May 2013 they told me that they only make this two in the width I am owning it. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing because the stretch is comfortable for all people who tried this stretcher on. However the divider strap was too short for all but one. Apparently Europeans have larger/ meatier balls. Please keep in mind that the stretcher and divider will be shorter than shown on your website when considering this toy.

Playing with it

This section is a bit hard to write because most of my testees couldn’t try out the full potential of this stretcher. As a simple leather ball stretcher it is the best I have got for long-term wear (even more comfortable than the Mr S one with a D-ring I reviewed last week) because the soft leather will more easily adjust to tighter balls. But as written above the divider sadly was too small for nearly all my testees and me. So I have to rely on a single report here.

When you start moving the weight, p.e. when wanking, is will start to swing freely and will gather moving momentum which will increase the pull on the balls. Mr S Ball Stretcher with D-Ring

Vendor: Mr S

Construction

StretcherThe stretcher is made out off a trifolded soft 3,8cm wide leather. The folding has a number of advantages: First through the three layers and the seam in the middle the leather is stiff enough and doesn’t collapse easily to provide a good stretch and yet is flexible enough to be comfortable to wear. Second through the folding the edges form a smooth piping on one side; on the other side there is a piping and an edge which doesn’t irritate the skin too much due to the soft leather. A third advantage would be that all metal parts could be covered with leather making it safe for allergic people to use. But for this toy Mr S decided to put the counter parts of the rivets through all three layers which at least robust them sturdier. As always with leather toys from Mr S the stitching quality is top of the notch.

In order to adjust the stretcher there are two pairs of snap fasteners leaving you with three diameters to adjust the stretcher: 4,3cm, 3,8cm and 3,1cm. A nice touch is the Mr S logo on the outside of the snap buttons.

Diameter from left to right: 4,3cm, 3,8cm and 3,1cm

Diameter from left to right: 4,3cm, 3,8cm and 3,1cm

A nifty feature of this toy is the small d-ring which is a hold in place by two rivets and double layer leather strap. Sadly the d-ring is not welded as which is the case with most other small d-rings.

Detail of the trifolding with "loose" end on top

Playing with it

The toy is good at everything what a ball stretcher should do: It stretches your balls to make them bounce around when walking, fucking or jerking off, prevent that your balls get closer to the body when you come which intensifies the orgasm and keeps your ball in place and offer an easy way to grip them when they get spanked. And because the leather and workmanship is such high quality you can wear the stretcher for an extended period of time. One of my test person wore it for over a day.

Detail of the D-Ring

Detail of the D-Ring

What sets this stretcher aside from a standard one is the d-ring which is not attached to a divider so if it is not used it doesn’t get into your way. The obvious thing to do with the d-ring it to attach a weight. Because the d-ring is not centered you can create two different sensations: When you put a barrel-shaped weight on front off the stretcher it beats your balls; when you put it on the back the feeling of weight pulling on your balls is even more intense than with a centered one. As with standard restraints the d-ring can be used for all kind of bondage purposes: Either attach a leash, use it to tie the sub down to the bed, nipple clamps, the spreader bar or any pair of restraints attached to the legs so there is a small reminder that there is something around his ball with every step the sub takes. When doing this please keep in mind that the d-ring is not welded. When too much force pulls in opposite directions on the d-ring there is a chance that it will come open.
